One of my friends mentoned a MMORPG that she has become addicted to, Last Chaos. It's free to download and free to play. You;ll be able to purchase items for use in game for cash so that they can get revenue, but purchase isn't mandatory. I haven't had time to really try it (I logged in set up a character killed about 7 monsters and logged out), as I've been working on my research proposal pretty steady over the past several days, but it seems alright. Character creation is, thus far, still excessively simplistic, but they're still building the game. |

In Real Life ™, people who aim to maximize their potential for lethality are called "dangerous psychotics" and are typically avoided by everyone who isn't forced to endure their company until someone has the opportunity to put them away or else put them down. No one likes that guy. Don't play that guy. Donate to Ankhanu Press | |

What do you think thus far? I'm still revising my proposal and haven't had time to test. |

I gave the game a go Thursday for a bit. I can't say I was terribly impressed. The control scheme is terrible, though I think I would have preferred it back before I got the taste for WASD. The video, especially in town, lags TERRIBLY, it makes venturing through town a hellish experience... and I'm level 5 and still don't really get the level up process (I think I do but it seems like there's something missing... ). I'm going to give it a few more rounds, but I also doubt I'll hold on to it. |
