Today, my younger brother asked me to play a game with him. Because I'm a mean, spiteful sister, I said no. [actually it was because I didn't really want to, and thought I could spend my time more productively online... which turned out to be a huge mistake X.x] But my brother was desperate. He begged. I refused. He begged more. I refused more.

Finally I said gently, "Okay, I'm leaving now."

"No you're not!" he exclaimed, and threw himself across the door. I tried to open it, but jeez, my arms have no strength! You'd think all this writing would build them up a bit, but no! But before I could seriously start to protest being trapped in his room, he started quoting the Eagles. Hotel California. "You can check out any time you like, but you can NEVER LEAVE."

... Now, to some, that might seem a little creepy. But my heart was swelling up with pride. I told him so, and he asked if that meant I would stay and play some games. My answer was still no. After quite a bit of running around, him blocking the door, me trying to escape, me stealing his cell phone and threatening to call our home phone / the cops, etc., etc., I managed to get out. There was a problem, though; my brother was still clinging to my waist.

"Seriously, David, let me go," I complained.

And there came another line: Bohemian Rhapsody, Queen. "Bismillah, No! We'll never let you go!"

Obviously, he eventually did, because here I am. But that was really cool for me... hearing my little brother quoting classical rock'n'roll. :3 Just thought I'd share.

So cute!

I usually just kick my little sister's down the stairs...

Hotel California rocks, btw.
