Cy was starting to get rather annoyed. In the two days since the hospital wing disaster, he hadn't had one moment's peace. He sighed as he exited the Great Hall, ducking around a corner as a familiar voice called from behind him, "Cy! Cy, wait up." He tried to speed up, but it didn't work; in a half-second that blasted girl was by his side again. Her hair, pulled back in a tight ponytail, bobbed as she walked. She seemed to have an extra spring in her step today, and Cy thought he knew why; this meal she had managed to scare away every girl who'd tried to sit by him. As a result, Cy had been miserable, but she seemed blind to that. She was winning, she was beating all of the other girls. Who cared about bloody Cy Andrews? Just thinking about it made Cy want to spit. He couldn't go through this much longer, he had to find some way out. Cy thrived on attention as much as he did food, water, and air; depriving him of girls to flirt with was as good as killing him. Last night as he'd laid in bed, he'd been brainstorming ways he might get rid of this blight; he had to think instead of sleeping, because that was the only time he could get now that was quiet enough to think. Already the girl at his side was rambling on about something. Cy didn't bother to pay attention, and he wasn't sure she really expected him to. The point was that she would be seen in rapt conversation with him. He had to ditch her somehow. The trouble was, what could he do? There was, obviously, pretending to be interested in another girl, and hope that she took the hint. First of all, though, he'd have to find a girl fearless enough to stick around despite this vixen's death glares. His first thought, the obvious thought, had been Eris, but he shot that idea down after only an instant. It reeked of disaster. First of all, any competition from Eris would only make the Hufflepuff girl fight harder for control of Cy--the last thing he wanted. Secondly, he wasn't at all sure how Eris would respond to that, and definitely wasn't in the mood to find out. So here he was, stuck with this idiot girl until he found someone who fit his bill. He rounded a corner, pressing by a group of first-years. He wasn't sure at all where he was headed--he'd left the hall merely because it was boring as all hell in there. And because he stood a better chance of loosing her in the hallway. Maybe he could duck into a boy's bathroom and sneak out some other way--he thought he knew enough magic to make the wall melt away. He looked up to see where he was, and where the nearest bathroom might be, and his eyes lighted on the bouncy blond hair of Shayla Robinson. Shay. The girl he was looking for would have to be brave--or oblivious. Cy couldn't help but smile at the thought. At first it had seemed foolish to even suggest it to himself, but after a moment's hesitation, he realized she was perfect. Bubble-headed Shay wouldn't even notice the girl following him, in all probability, no matter what she did. She was just as oblivious to flirting, he knew from experience. On second thought, why stop there? He could probably ask her out to a Hogsmead date, and she wouldn't even suspect he had any feelings for her above friendship. She'd probably even forget about it before he had to make good on his invitation. Surely, if he asked Shay on a date, this other girl would get the hint and leave him alone? Cy glanced over at her, weighing the possibilities momentarily. Then, with a quick nod, he interrupted her in the middle of her sentence with, "Hey, could you hold on a minute? I wanna talk to someone." Although she looked mildly peeved at being interrupted, she nodded a curt assent, and Cy whirled, walking towards Shay with a growing smile. This would work, certainly; it was a foolproof plan. The girl was the perfect distance away; near enough to hear the conversation, but far enough to not be able to rationally join in. "Hey, Shay," Cy said cheerfully as he drew up next to her. He noticed a boy behind her, bigger than him, with short hair and a dark look about him. Cy thought for a moment he might have miscalculated, but quickly shook off the idea. Nah, he reasoned, almost laughing at himself. Shay Robinson, with a boyfriend? That's ridiculous. Still, the possibility put a butterfly in his stomach, and Cy thought it best to hurry up and ask before he lost his nerve. "I was just wondering--you wanna go to Hogsmead sometime?" He heard the girl behind him let out a little indignant gasp, and had to bite his lip to keep from smiling. This plan was completely foolproof; it was working already. Nothing could go wrong. |

OOC: You did Pm Note about this, right? You know... explaning it...? Shayla had been having a (mercifully) normal day or prowling the halls and dungeons, looking for anything suspicious. It'd been a while since she'd last recieved any orders about Nate about what was going on. She'd talked, or well blackmailed, just about all of the first years for information, but they were just as in the dark as she was. She'd been disapointed by that. She'd sincerly thought that the 1st years might've known something. Many of them came from powerful families, some that had once even practiced the dark arts. She'd been sure she'd find something. It was what she was good for. At the moment, though, she felt rather like a bloodhound that couldn't find it's scent ; worthless. The blonde wore an old pair of dark jeans, seeing as if got colder every day around here. Her 3-quarters-length red shirt reminded her of roses, and blood of course. The second thought had made her shiver, but she'd pushed it away. Today was meant to be a good day, and Shayla left the mirror with her head held high and her ponytail even higher. She'd caught up with Nate halfway through the day, and had been chattering on about her progress when she caught sight of someone she thought she recognised. She looked more acutely into the distance, zooming her gaze onto the face of Cy Andrews. It had been a while since she saw Cy, except for in classes of course. She was happy to be able to see him in public. For some odd reason not even she understood, she liked talking to him. He pulled pranks, some of them she found possibly a bit hurtful, but he seemed pretty fun to hang out with. If she hadn't been with Nate, she'd most definately have walked up to him. The only problem was possibly losing Nate if she got to into a conversation. Another problem was the camera that was currently around her neck. After having been requested to have a wizarding camera a few weeks ago, it hadn't left her neck. Nate had never quite told her what the plan was, but she wasn't going to risk not having the key item at any time. Plus, if anyone asked, she'd just take a picture of them in flash and run away while they were stunned. Shayla was about to turn around and say something to Nate about another first year who got her into trouble when Cy came up to her. She barely raised an eyebrow. Cy didn't talk to her a whole lot in her classes. He always seemed to be speaking with Eris, the Ravenclaw Shayla didn't particularly like. "Hiya Cy!" She replied cheerfully, not even noticing the girl who seemed to be trailing him like a shadow. She normally didn't notice people she didn't care about. "I was just wondering--you wanna go to Hogsmead sometime?" "Hogsmede? Sure! That sounds fun, I need to get Christmas presents for my friends soon anyways. Do you celebrate Christmas? Cuz, I mean, you could celebrate other holidays too, I like all Holidays! Oh! Oh! Oh! What do you want for Christmas? I normally just give people candy, but if you're allergic, that wouldn't be so smart, you know," Shayla ended with a small kind of question, though it was normal that people wouldn't answer her. After all, she was told that sometimes it was hard to hear everything she said. She ended with an abrupt nod, as if everything she'd just said made complete sense. Unconciously, she brushed a small strand of her blonde hair behind her ear. Her hair was growing long again. She'd have to cut it again if she wanted to be able to train without having a blind spot in front of her eyes. |

OOC: Sorry about this. Midterms are finally done, so I will reply to this like...now. IC: Nathan Helsing was on a rampage. It has only been a week about, but that slimy Professor of his, Iscariot, seemed to like to throw challenges at the young Slytherin. He had been called into his office, for what Nathan thought was the usual nagging. The winter snow had just started to fall. There are many events this term, including the Yule Ball. You better participate and work hard. Yeah, yeah. The usual speech. One more thing. This is unusual, but there will be a new Head Boy as of today. Oh? Was that what Iscariot had wanted to tell him? That there was to be yet another Head Boy that Nathan could torture? He particuarly remembered that the last one that he had had been a royal pain in the ass--it was a pain to make someone with higher standing bow down to him. No, correct that. It was rather fun. You. If there had ever been a look of suprise that crossed Nathan's face, it would have been that very moment that he was standing in Iscariot's office. It was something that he hadn't accounted for--and wasn't it that certain Professor that had told him that he was going to end up in Azkaban by the time he was in his fifth year? Well. If Hell hadn't froze over, he didn't know what to expect. Anyway, he seemed full of vigor, as if he hadn't quite adjusted to the fact that he was Head Boy yet, though he had already used that pretty nifty little fucking badge to get access to the castle--which he already did, in the past. He was explaining to Shayla, as they were walking through the hallway, his newest theory on what had been happening with the certain murders, though in a hushed whispered, yet audible for only Shayla to hear. He was talking also about an individual that his family had hired-- a young woman who was barely older than their new professors. So when that Hufflepuff fellow came into their conversation, he paused. So he was interested in his Damn Baby Fangs? Oh... His brown eyes glanced in the direction of a glowering girl. Ah--he saw. He reached over and touched Shayla's shoulder, putting on an unusually friendly font. It was sometimes scary just how well mannered Nathan Helsing could act--though his crooked smile was enough to scare most people away. "Shayla," he said, using her first name. "Why don't you introduce me to your -boyfriend-?" he said, nearly internally choking on the word itself. |

The first thought that had come to Shayla mind when Nate had been named Head Boy was most likely 'The world has turned topsy turvy and all the kittens will soon die. ' Perhaps it was a bit of a random thought, but that's just how Shayla's brain worked. She was sure she'd be sent on new missions, now that Nate would have better things to do than his share of the mission work, but it hadn't seemed quite so yet. They'd really barely even talked about it, though he did seem a bit busier than he had last year. That could've been because of the homework. Shayla groaned internally. She was smart, but if she was given any more homework, she was personally going to push someone off the roof. Not literally, of course. Well... maybe. Nate seemed all too happy to use his Head Boy badge, and Shayla didn't really mind all that much. Actually, it was pretty fun to see people walk in the opposite direction when they haunted the Hogwarts halls. Some idiots used to try to get the best of them, but with that new badge, he could easily bypass basically... anyone. It was pretty hilarious. Just before Cy had gone over, Nate had been telling her about some updates on their mission. He hadn't really been speaking loudly. Actually, it unnerved her sometimes that his lips barely even seemed to be moving, but she could hear him quite clearly. There had been times when she'd contemplated the possibility of Nate talking to her in her head, but she'd decided that it wasn't likely. He'd just gotten to telling her about someone his family had hired when Cy had broke into their conversation. She'd mentally been a bit annoyed. She enjoyed learning more information, but she liked Cy too. Two odd and unnerving things happened shortly after that. For one, suddenly there was a friendly hand on her shoulder, which normally wouldn't have been so odd had she not been hanging out with Nate. As it was, it was very unnormal. A slight shiver ran up her back, which she barely had time to be embarassed about when Nate did another unusual thing. "Shayla, Why don't you introduce me to your -boyfriend-?" He used her first name. Shayla couldn't remember the last time he'd used her first name. The times were few and far between. Even in front of people, he normally just called her Damn Baby Fangs, Baby Fangs if he was in a particularly good mood. Of course, they didn't understand the nickname, but he never seemed to care. The more obvious he was about her... origins, the less suspicious she seemed. So, that got Shayla rather in a tumble. Before she had a chance to say anything, he finished his sentence. If she'd looked shocked to hear her own name, she was completely electricuted to hear the rest of the sentence. Her... Her boyfriend? Cy wasn't her boyfriend. Was he? Wait... is that what he'd meant when he'd asked her to come along to Hogsmede? Shayla's mind worked at top speed, trying to compute the information. She'd been asked out a couple of times before. It wasn't like it was anything new. Shayla was pretty popular, with her innocence that seemed to make guys want more. She'd turned them all down, though. Boys had cooties, after all. Still... Cy wasn't her boyfriend... was he? Well, she'd learned that the easiest thing to do when she was confused was to ignore whatever had confusing her. Although the moment had seemed long in her mind, she could still probably answer without seeming odd. "Huh? Um... this is Cy. Cy, say hi. Cy, this is Nate. Nate, say hi. And I'm Shayla! Hi!" She finished, putting on her normal hyper act and completely forgetting about what had happened a few moments ago. After all, the world was a happy, bright place! Bunnies, Sparkles, Glitter, Yay! Ooc: If it sucks, blame Lynn. It's all her fault. |

The bubbly blond returned his greeting in the same cheerful, friendly tone. After he broke out his question, she started talking quickly, excited as she always seemed to be when conversing with a friend. He caught the first bit-- "Hogsmede? Sure! That sounds fun, I need to get Christmas presents for my friends soon anyways." After that, he only caught the occasional word, but she seemed to be asking what he wanted for Christmas. Cy shook his head slightly as she rambled on, although he was pleased that she was switching topics so easily--of course, she hadn't realized the imprecations of his question. She probably would have forgotten about it before the conversation was even over. Shay nodded quickly, signifying that she was done with her portion of the discussion and it was now his turn to talk. He was about to assure her that it was really all right, she didn't need to get him anything for Christmas, but something happened--the boy behind her, the one Cy had made a conscious effort to disregard, reached up and put a hand on her shoulder. Shayla seemed to shudder almost involentarily under his touch. That gave Cy a moment's hesitation--if this boy made her shiver, why was she hanging out with him. On second thought, this entire situation seemed a bit fishy--why was Shay down in the dungeons during the middle of lunch? Was something wrong? Was she in trouble? Cy wasn't sure he could take the boy behind her--on a broomstick he was unbeatable, but in any other area he fell painfully short--but he knew people who could. If Shay was suffering, he would make every effort to help her--she was just too innocent for something like that. All of these thoughts crowded his mind in a heartbeat as he tensed slightly, almost unnoticeably. The unfamiliar boy's sentence, however, sent a shiver down his spine. It wasn't so much the words--"Shayla, Why don't you introduce me to your -boyfriend-?"--but rather, the tone he said it in. Even that didn't make much sense, because on the outside he sounded friendly enough, but Cy was almost certain he was faking it. Even if he wasn't, there was something--not right--about that boy, something that Cy automatically disliked. Poor Shay's expression was like one of a dog who had just been scolded, trying to find out what she'd done wrong and how to fix it, how to appease her master. Cy was fully expecting her to deny that she had any connection to him besides a purely platonic friendship. He wouldn't hold it against her if she did--it wasn't like they did have anything besides a purely platonic friendship. She was obviously under some kind of pressure, too, to say what the boy behind her wanted to hear. Even if her reply completely ruined Cy's foolproof plan, he was willing to forgive her of it. He was definitely going to ask her later about who this boy was, though, and why he seemed to hold such power over her. To his surprise, Shayla responded in a slightly confused tone, "Huh? Um... this is Cy. Cy, say hi. Cy, this is Nate. Nate, say hi. And I'm Shayla! Hi!" "Hi," the blond muttered under his breath, mentally cataloging the name. Nate. Nate. Remember that. Nate--the slightly scary, older boy. He looked Asian, with darker skin and jet black hair. His clothing was dark and ominous, pierced by an occasional spike or buckle. Next to bubbly Shay Robinson, he could have passed for Satan himself. Shay was back to being hyper and bouncy--did she really have that short of attention span? He could have walked away--he'd achieved what he'd come to do, after all, and he doubted the stalker-esque girl at his shoulder would be hanging on him much longer. But he was absolutely loathe to leave Shay alone with Nate--something about the relationship the two seemed to share was just all wrong, in his eyes. So Cy decided to do something bold--he slid his eyes up to the Asian boy, and asked in a cool tone, "Could you excuse us for a second?" as if he had as much right to demand Shay's undivided attention as she did. As if he really was her boyfriend. |

Nathan knew how to act civil. After all, his father kissed the Queen of England's ass every day. Now, the fact of the matter was if Nathan decided to act civil. And right now, it was definately a time to throw up the charming young man (he pretended to be) persona. It wasn't a tactic that he had often used, so, he mused, this Cy boy should be rather grateful that he didn't go right in for the kill. Oh no, he'd play with this one. "Could you excuse us for a second?" He removed his hand from Shayla's shoulder, and politely smiled. This boy had balls. At least, to stand up to him. He'd fix that real soon. He took a step backwards and shot Damn Baby Fangs a devlish smile that basically told her that he had found someone that he wanted to be his minion. "Shayla," he said, once again using her first name. "You remembered to bring your camera, right? I need you to take a picture tonight of the Juda's Kiss." It was a clue, and oh Merlin, was he about to set Cy up. Juda's Kiss was a rather unpopular painting within the castle walls that was conviniently about to be taken down because it upset so many of the students due to it being a "Chrisitan" painting. But it was also a cue. Which basically meant, "Take a picture--you'll know exactly when". Nathan stepped backwards, and took a small, black notebook out of his robes. There was no label on the front of the cover, though it was his infamous Devil's Notebook, as most came to know it. To many, it could have looked like just a regular notebook. Turning his back to the pair, to give Cy the illusion that he was giving them some privacy, he looked up the name Cy in the Notebook. As he had it, it was conviniently in his list of names. Since Cy was a student who had been here for a longer time, a fourth year, even, Nathan's repitoure was quite large. Here it was. He was a flirt, and to top it off, a troublemaker. Nathan grinned devilishly at this. It seemed he was actually rather well in Quidditch as well... He shut the notebook when his eyes glanced over something else. He didn't particuarly care for anyone's history whatsoever. He made up his mind then. Cy was going to be his minion whether or not he liked it. OOC: Sorry this was late! |

Shayla was confused, and a little dazed. It seemed like everything was spinning, and events were happening to quickly for her mind to comprehend. She reviewed her day silently, trying to catch up with everything that had happened in the last few minutes. She's started out by going to her morning classes. They'd been rather boring, but other than that, she'd been having a good day. Then, she'd gone and gotten a little bit of lunch, eating it on her way down to the Dungeons, where Nate was because of their conflicting schedules. Normally, they'd walk around and he'd fill her in on things, because although the Dungeon was crowded, it wasn't as crowded as other places. So, she'd gone about her normal routine. Then, she'd met up with Cy, and now... now she was standing off to the side with Cy? Why did he want to talk to her? She was confused, to say the least, but at least now her mind had caught up, and she could think logically. She was just about to ask Cy what was going on when she heard Nate speak again, and this time, she caught on without skipping a beat. "Shayla? You remembered to bring your camera, right? I need you to take a picture tonight of the Juda's Kiss," he told her. Juda's Kiss? Obviously, Nate had something in mind, and Shayla grasped her camera lightly in her hands. She nodded, replying with a simple, "Yep! It's right here, Natey!" She then turned around to Cy, feigning innocence, and looking at him happily. He'd stepped away a few feet, and Shayla walked towards him, ending up standing closely to him, though vaguely aware that Nate was checking the hand book for something, and she was pretty sure about what it was as well. Her eyes glinted merrily, though for a different reason, and eyed Cy closely. She noticed that he looked a little bit worried, and it seemed to mess up his normally carefree, handsome features. Oh, that can't do! she thought, and gave him her most disarming grin, hoping to charm him out of his worry. Actually, she was giddy with excitement, hardly able to control herself! Obviously, Nate was planning on making him a minion, at least very soon. Finally, Shayla would have her time for a partner! "Something wrong, Cy? I do hope nothing's bothering you! After all, that wouldn't be very fun, huh?" she asked, and grinned as if hearing a private joke. Oh, he wouldn't be having fun if Nate's plan was what she thought it was. Or, well, he wouldn't have fun yet. After all, though, he'd have fun eventually. In Shayla's mine, having the privledge to work with Nate had to be the best thing ever. OOC: Sorry for the wait, and the shortness. ^^ |

The boy's hand slid off of Shayla's shoulder, and he offered up a polite smile; a smile that was wrong in way Cy knew he would never be able to pinpoint. A little step backwards, and then a look at Shay--a look that would have sent shivers down anyone's spine. "Shayla, you remembered to bring your camera, right? I need you to take a picture tonight of the Juda's Kiss." Cy had no idea what Nate was talking about--he wasn't religious enough to recognize the phrase, and he definitely didn't pay enough attention to his surroundings to know that it was a picture at the castle as well. Even if he'd known what the term was, and what it symbolized, the sentence wouldn't have given Cy anything close to a red flag, not knowing the true meaning of the words. The way Nate said it did make Cy slightly uneasy, but everything about Nate made Cy slightly uneasy, so he tried to ignore it. Shay's hands flew to a camera Cy had previously failed to notice, and replied cheerfully, "Yep! It's right here, Natey!" Nate acknowledged her comment by taking another step back, and Shay walked eagerly towards Cy, a merry glint in her large eyes. That unnerved Cy as well--Shay Robinson was normally one of the most cheerful people he knew, but there was something in her eye now--something sinister. Like she was keeping a secret from Cy, and the secret amused her terribly. He suddenly felt very foolish for walking in on her conversation with Nate--like a child who accidentally interrupted an adult's conversation, but without the youthful ignorance to hide behind. "Something wrong, Cy? I do hope nothing's bothering you! After all, that wouldn't be very fun, huh?" she asked, smiling as if one of them had just told a funny joke. Cy was convinced that the joke was the same one her eyes had just been laughing at. He realized that, whatever it was, he was the victim. Don't be an idiot, Cy. Shay's the most innocent girl in school... you're overreacting. Stick with what you planned to do and just get her away from that creepy Nate character for a few minutes. "I'm fine, Shay, don't worry about it," he breathed, trying to force a smile onto his face, although his usual charm was definitely lacking. He ran his tongue over the edges of his teeth, trying to think of where to go from here. What could he say that would get through to blunt-as-butter Shay, without alerting the attention of the hawk-like Nathan? "Listen, Shay..." he began, but drifted off as he heard some sort of book snap shut. Nate turned back to the group, and Cy felt that his chance might have just been gone. He bit the inside of his cheek as his blue eyes traveled over the situation. He could always talk to Shay some other time, right? Some time when she wasn't accompanied by this intimidating Asian? He weighed the options, and was on the verge of saying, 'I'll talk to you later,' and making a retreat, when a voice interrupted his train of thought. OOC: Bleh. Apologies all around. |

A voice interupting Cy Andrew's thoughts indeed! Nathan quickly slipped the Devil's Handbook into its origional hiding place, a demonic light lit behind his narrowed brown eyes. He saw that having Cy as a minion would work out greatly for him--Cy, according to the book, was a prankster, was in general a flirt, an excellent quidditch player, and cared a good deal about his reputation. Sure, that part wasn't written in his black notebook, but Nathan could tell a good deal about people. And Hufflepuff's were perhaps the easiest people to read. "I don't think you're going anywhere," Nathan said with a sort of creepy pleasantness, his face aglow. It was like Christmas for him, doing these sorts of things--and, he wasn't going to deny it. He did take a good deal of pleasure in blackmailing people. Shayla did understand the hint--and even had the camera ready. Leave it to Damn Baby Fangs to be absolutoly prepared. Sure, she was half-vampire. But did Nathan Helsing care? No. Not really. His heavy boots created an echo within the dungeons as he stepped foward quickly. He made mental notes about the position of the lighting from the torches within the dungeons--carefully calculated, and although it seemed to be almost out of nowhere, the boy did think this entire thing through. Before Cy could even turn away, the young devil grabbed onto Cy's wrists. "So, you like girls like Damn Baby Fangs?" he asked with a crooked wide smile. He broke character really easily. Using Cy's wrist, he pulled Cy uncomfortably closer to him. With his free hand, he took ahold of Cy's shirt and tugged him closer. And Nathan went in for the Judas Kiss. That is, he grabbed Cy's shirt and lifted his face to kiss Cy Andrews right on the lips. It was an empty kiss that meant absolutoly nothing. Nothing but blackmail, of course. He heard the camera flash go off, and he smirked inwardly, knowing this type of thing would suprise the boy. People tensed up in situations like this, and he had the feeling that Cy Andrews was no different. So what if the picture taken had him in it? Nathan Helsing's reputation was already bad enough--though he was sure that Andrew's did care a great deal about it. He pulled away, and let go, smiling at Shayla. "You got it, Damn Baby Fangs?" he asked, stepping over to her, to leave the Hufflepuff in shock. He lifted the camera from her hands carefully and patted his number one minion ontop the head in silent praise, and grinned evily at the Hufflepuff. Did he have any idea of what was going on? Shayla listened to Cy as he seemed to be attempting to warn her about something. Of course, Shay could guess what it was he wanted to tell her. Probably that she should stop hanging around with Nate, or maybe he thought something was wrong, maybe he thought Natey was hurting Shayla. Shay smirked inside about that thought. In reality, she was likely physically stronger than him, which was the oddest truth. However, he had this tactic to hurt people from the inside out. Shay would never win against him, and really, she wouldn't want to. She considered him to be her best friend, although their relationship was odd, to say the least. Somehow, with Cy only knowing part of the truth, and with Shayla having a pretty good idea of what Nate was about to do, Shayla was incredibly amused. Somehow, knowing Cy was a victim, and if for only a few minutes, being able to play with that, it was just... addicting. Shayla had never been in the sort of situation to really manipulate someone too much, and some part of her was enjoying this to no ends. Somewhere deep in Shayla's mind, in her body, something sinister stirred at the thought of being able to play around with Cy, for having knowledge that he didn't know. Sometime liked that he thought she was so innocent, so defenseless. A part of her nature, her ever twisted nature, was enjoying this so much. It was thrilling, this ability to play around, to manipulate Cy's emotions. A smile grew on Shayla's lips as she saw Nate flip his notebook close. Things seemed to be going in slow motion. However, another part of her was feeling horrible. A part of her was jumping around, trying to warn Cy that something was about to happen that'd likely change his years in Hogwarts drastically. The part of her that was almost always in control, the sweet Shay, the happy Shay, the bubbly Shay, had been pushed back for a moment, allowing the monster inside to soak up in the suspicion, perhaps even fear?, of Cy. That part of her, however, knew submission as well. For, Shayla the human was strong, truly. Shayla had been working hard to control the vampire side, and after only perhaps two minutes, she was under control again, the side that was enjoying this so much pushed back into a corner. She knew then that she needed to go out and punch things after this was done, or she feared for the lives of anyone walking around her with particularly sweet blood. She tuned back into the situation, clasping her camera and watching as Nate walked towards Cy, trying to show him the distress she was feeling without ruining his perfect, foolproof plan. "I don't think you're going anywhere." Shayla smirked a little, moving out of the way, her camera up to her eye, although she was sure Cy wouldn't see her. He, like most of Nate's victims, would likely be too entranced, or frozen, to notice her. "So, you like girls like Damn Baby Fangs?" As Nate's lips reached Cy's, Shayla waited exactly two seconds before taking the picture, and then taking a backup, just in case the first wasn't exactly what Nate wanted after all. She then just lowered the camera, sighing happily as she saw Nate work the magic, happy that she'd be receiving a partner after all. She grinned back at Nate joyfully as he stepped away from the Hufflepuff, resisting the urge to jump up and down and hugging him for another plan gone completely perfect. Then again, she always felt amazingly happy after she helped complete a plan perfectly. She nodded at his question, grinning even wider, although a somewhat sinister look still lingered in her eyes, a small pigment of red in her chocolate-brown-innocents. She hoped it would be enough to let him know she needed to go leave soon, to let him know she was still a little dangerous at the moment. This wasn't exactly unnormal. Sometimes the excitement of the game put her into a slightly vampiric mood, and she'd have to go out jogging, or perhaps even kill a couple of squirrels in the forest before she'd return to normal. It had never really been this bad, though. For a moment there, she'd almost lost control. "Right as rain," she responded after only a second, referring to the picture. She paused a second and happily added, "That was definitely a Foolproof Plan." She was then stripped of her camera, which she was glad of. The thing had started to drive her nuts. She almost purred as she was received an affection reward; a pat on the head. However, she glanced back at the Hufflepuff, feeling slightly guilty. Surely, though, he'd love being a minion, right? He wouldn't be mad at her, once he started having fun. Then, they'd all be the best of friends. "Well, I gotta go... erm... to class. I guess I'll see you around soon Cy! And, I'm guessing I'll see you soon too, Natey. Seeing as, well... Nevermind. Bye guys!" she exclaimed, grinning such a normal, bouncy Shayla grin that it was almost creepily ironic after such a dark deed on the minion's part. Oh well. It was only her nature. She skipped off, humming a tune to herself as she headed towards somewhere to hopefully blow off some steam and regain quite a bit of control. |

"I don't think you're going anywhere," chimed a voice that made Cy want to shiver. The words didn't click in the Hufflepuff's head until a moment after the ominous Asian had uttered them. The phrase seemed so out of place that Cy almost thought he'd imagined them; for a moment, his mind had taken him into the bowels of one of those old mafia movies. Nathan hadn't really just threatened him. No one really did that sort of thing. He turned to look at the boy, and managed to choke out, "What di--" before he noticed how uncomfortably close the older boy was. The rest of his sentence caught in his throat, which was just as well, because he wouldn't have had time to say them properly anyway. Just exactly at that moment, chilled fingers wrapped around his wrist, holding him tightly, almost painfully. "So, you like girls like Damn Baby Fangs?" Cy didn't understand the question, and made no attempt to answer. Conversation hardly seemed important at a moment like this; his head was reeling with confused, out-of-place thoughts as he tried to determine what was going on around him. Where was Shayla, and what, in God's name, was Nate doing? His face was aglow with a demonic grin, and he had tugged at the younger boy's arm sharply. The combined irritation of having his hand held immobile so, and being made to stand so unbearably close to the intimidating boy, made him wince. Fingers, or rather, claws, clutched a piece of his shirt with an unbreakable, iron grip, and pulled him even closer. Before Cy had time to react to this untoward development, or even realize exactly what had happened, a set of hard lips crashed into his own. A kiss? A flash of light made Cy see stars. A kiss? But... who... the suddenness of the moment, the confusing burst of light, had his head spinning. He couldn't think straight. His lips were still up against someone else's but--Another flash, with a small click, and this time Cy recognized the noise as the sound of a magical camera. A picture? Someone was taking a picture. But who took it? And what had they taken it of? A picture of him, it must have been. Now who took it? Who was there? Shay... Shay had disappeared. She must have been the one taking pictures. But why was she-- The truth of the matter came crashing down on Cy just as Nate pulled away. He released Cy's shirt and wrist, and immediately the Hufflepuff reeled back, his face clearly portraying his disgust. His lips--and--that--EW. There was no other word to describe the twisted scene that had just taken place. "You got it, Damn Baby Fangs?" Shayla smiled, and Nate was smiling too--Cy couldn't comprehend why. What kind of sick person was this, who went up and k--kissed people he didn't even know, and had some innocent bubble-head take pictures? Why wasn't Shay as appalled at this action as he was? She seemed almost... pleased. Definitely not what Cy would have expected or wanted. They exchanged the camera. Cy watched, motionless, still frozen on the same spot he'd recoiled to. The blond girl cast one more look back at him. Cy merely gawked. "Well, I gotta go... erm... to class. I guess I'll see you around soon Cy! And, I'm guessing I'll see you soon too, Natey. Seeing as, well... Nevermind. Bye guys!" With that, she skipped away, exactly as if nothing had ever happened. Nate, too, seemed to have disappeared into the shadows, leaving Cy alone to contemplate what had just happened. His mouth was still open, disgusted. It seemed to him as though there was a particularly nasty taste in his mouth, one that would not evaporate. The entire thing made no sense--perhaps he'd been dreaming? Perhaps he'd wake up the next morning and be fine, and nothing would have happened, and the dark Nathan Helsing would not exist except as a figment of Cy's odd nightmare. In the meantime, however: Cy turned sharply with a sort of retching noise, putting one hand over his mouth and the other over his stomach, and bolted for the nearest bathroom. |
