THUMP, THUMP, THUMP

"Azure Sapphire Knight! If you don't open this door right this minute!" Coral Knight screamed as she stood outside her teenaged daughter?s room banging on the door. "Blue!"

Oh sock it to me, sock it to me,
sock it to me, sock it--

"Mommy?" Blue asked as she pulled the black headphones off her head as she looked up from her bed to stare at her bedroom door curiously. She had been lounging across her king-sized sleigh bed reading the Daily Prophet while blasting some Aretha Franklin through her headphones when she thought she heard someone call her name. It was only her and her single mother living in the two story townhouse in London's suburbs. The young girl's room was located on the second floor and was decorated in every shade of blue imaginable from the carpet and walls to the huge bed and even the slender girl thrown across it. The girl; Blue, had mid-back navy blue hair with multi-hued blue streaks which was currently pinned up, held in place by a black butterfly clip. Though it was early morning the young girl's face was adorned in heavy blue eye shadow and liner and matching lipstick, both which matched her hair exactly. She was also noticeably wearing shimmering blue polish on her fingernails and toe nails. The only thing not of the color blue was the white silk nightgown she was wearing which fit loosely and stopped at her ankles.

THUMP, THUMP, THUMP

"Shit." Blue cursed before covering her mouth quickly, though it was already too late.

"I heard that. Open the door, Blue." Coral said from the other side.

"Sorry." Blue apologized as she sat up with her legs crossed facing the door. The music from her headphones could be heard still playing softly in the background as they lay forgotten on top of the Daily Prophet which was also now forgotten. "Door." Blue called out and the door opened inward revealing a petite woman of about thirty-six who looked exactly like the young girl on the bed except for the fact that she had shoulder length golden brown hair and her face was devoid of make-up accept for pale pink lipstick. She was however wearing the exact same silk nightgown as her daughter and her fingernails and toenails were polished, pink instead of blue. Identical electric blue eyes looked across the room at each other.

"I thought I asked you to remove that charm from your door?" Coral asked as she crossed the thresh hold and entered the bedroom.

"I forgot." Blue replied knowing that she hadn't. She had placed the charm on her door the day they had moved in and hadn't even considered removing it since then. It was really useful actually barring anyone from entering even if they had a wand. It was the same charm she would place on her dormitory door when she got back to school. Assuming she ever got to school. It still hadn't come yet... "Are you sure they know the new address? Have you written them?" she questioned her mother as she looked over towards her window as if expecting to see an owl. There was none.

"Please have the charm removed before you leave. I really don't know why you felt the need for it in the first place." Coral said as if she hadn't heard her daughter?s questions. She had. She stared around the room as if doing an inspection and Blue knew she was. The young girl smiled playfully.

"Everything's in its place, Mommy. I'm all packed and I have all my school supplies. Have you ever known me to not be prepared?" she asked smirking as she met her mother's gaze. She watched as her mother crossed the room and went to stand in front of window briefly before she turned around and walked towards Blue. The young girl's eyes flickered as she spotted the tan envelope her mother now clutched that she knew hadn't been there before. "When?" Blue questioned smiling.

"It came earlier. Maybe you would've noticed had you not been destroying your hearing with those." Coral answered nodding her head towards the headphones as she dropped the letter in Blue's lap. As Blue stared down fixatedly at the letter Coral crossed the room heading for the door about to leave when she stopped just inside the doorframe and turned back to Blue. "Headphones." she said and the headphones disappeared only to reappear in her hands.

"Hey! I was listening to those." Blue cried out looking up at her mother.

"Not anymore. You'll get them back when you do as I say. Remove the charm from the door, Blue." Coral answered as she turned and exited the room leaving Blue staring at her retreating form.

"If you wanted to borrow my headphones all you had to do was ask!" Blue yelled.

As she made her way down the stairs leading to the first floor Coral had a mischievous smile on her face as she slipped the headphones over her head and began bopping to the beat.
