High school. What's the point really? He asked himself this every morning as he applied his eye liner to his perfectly round eyes, using colors just right to bring out his emerald green eyes. Soft red lip stick contrasted nicely with his soft white skin. He pulled his long black hair half up in the style his mom called the elven princess style. He sighed and straightened his tight tank top, adjusting the midriff 3/4 sleeve jacket fitted over his slim feminine shoulders and smoothed the pleats in his skirt down. What was the point? He sighed and smiled to himself. "Alright... time to face the day." he gave a grown and shook his head. "So not going to be a good day." "Charis! come on time to go!" He glanced at the door and sighed, walking out of the bathroom and grabbing up his bag as he went. "Do I have to go mom?" he asked, not controlling his voice at the moment. He never bothered doing it at home, even if his voice really was higher pitched than the average high school boy's. "Yes Charis. You never miss school." She smiled at him as she walked out of her own room, patting him on the shoulder and going down the stairs briskly. "Your dad has breakfast ready." She grabbed up her purse and car keys and looked back up the stairs at her son. He sighed and copied the movements his mother made, hopping down the last one and sighing. "I hate school mom... They're always hitting on my and staring when I walk by. It's creepy." "You know, Charis a real girl would be happy about that, they simply think that you are beautiful. Isn't that a good thing?" "Well I guess. But I don't want a straight guy!" His dad laughed as he walked out of the kitchen. "Stop complaining and eat breakfast." He gave each his wife and extremely feminine son a breakfast burrito. "Thanks dad." He sighed and headed out to the car, slipping in as his mom followed. At the school he glanced around, eyes falling on each person one at a time. He felt all their eyes. He was used to it. He sighed and slid into the school slowly, trying to avoid anyone who would want to talk to him. He wrinkled his nose and looked around and slid into the boy's bathroom. He never used womens bathrooms unless someone was in here. He checked all the stalls and slid into the last one. |

Seth Kanzantzakis “I’m making eggs, anybody want some?” Thanks to the headphones covering his ears Seth’s gruff voice came out a little louder than it typically would, hazel eyes turning to look over his shoulder and towards the living room. On the couch his parents sat in their pajamas. His mom was taking a brush through her criminally long silver hair, curled up next to his father who was languidly changing the channel on their TV with one hand and rubbing the woman’s thigh with the other. Seth looked at them until he saw two different hands go into the air, nodding in confirmation and cracking another egg into the countertop, stirring it in with the others and adding more salt and pepper before throwing in into the pan heating on the stove. A few minutes later the teenager walked into the living room, balancing 3 pates of scrambled eggs on his arms. After handing each one off to a parent Seth slumped down next to his mother and dug into his own. “You’ll be late if you sit and eat with us.” The gray haired tattooed woman pointed out to her son, setting down her brush on the coffee table and picking up her fork. Seth shrugged, focusing on the children’s show that his father landed on when he tossed away his remote in favor of food. Said man gave a sigh and a glance to his son, holding off on his breakfast food. “You know I wish you would put just a little more effort into school.” Instinctively Seth started to tune his father out, finding more interest in his eggs and what the tiny bear on the TV was going to do to get all of his friends back together again and restore harmony to the little woods. If there was one thing he hated about his father, it was when he started talking to him about his school life. Who was he to say anything about it? He dropped out of school when he was younger than Seth, if anything he should be proud that his son made it further along than he did. His grades and attendance were decent in spite of loathing a majority time he spent in the government run institute of education. Seth didn’t tune back into his parents until he felt soft fingers up against his cheek, brushing just under a Band-Aid he placed on his face a few days prior and above a fresh cut. “Don’t you think you should put something on this or clean it up sweetie?” More a mother than a biker any day of the week the aging woman pointed out the mark that was caked with fresh blood thanks to his agitating the wound with his tossing and turning the night before. Seth rolled his eyes, shoveling the last of his eggs into his mouth. That was his cue to get to school, no matter how on time he risked being. “Hey, get back from school quick. Joey wants you to take a look at his bike.” His father called out to him as he ditched his empty plate in the sink and grabbed his red and gray helmet off of the kitchen table. “He gives me full price and I’ll be here.” Giving his father a sign to text him to let him know about his fee Seth grabbed his jacket off the back of a kitchen chair. “Bye, love you.” He waited for his mother to coo out a ‘love you too’ and his father to give a whole hearted grunt before heading out to the Yamaha motorcycle parked beside a Harley and behind a beat up Honda, hopping out and pulling out of the driveway. As he neared the school he could feel his enthusiasm being crush and his boredom rising, his day already gone to ruins before it even started. Seth parked his bike safely in the lot near the outside entrance to the metal shop classroom, ensuring his kickstand was up properly before making his way into the school, helmet gripped with one hand and the MP3 player that he shoved into his pocket earlier in the other. Seth was swimming in a sea of disinterest from the moment that he got off of his bike, so his attention wasn’t in the same world that everyone else’s was as he made his way in the hall. It could cause some problems, and it did as he bumped into another student, something wet quickly covering the front of his gray hoodie. That snapped Seth back into the world, eyes peering down at his soda stained garment. “Dammit!” That curse was meant for himself, but by the way the other student dropped his cup and ran off he thought it was for him. Seth didn’t give him a second thought, sighing and looking around to see how far he made it into the school. Seeing that the bathroom was closer to him than his locker the dirty blonde made his way into the pretty empty restroom. Setting his helmet down on the edge of the sink counter Seth worked off his hoodie, flicking on the water faucet and running some of it on his article of clothing. As he waited for the stain to go clear hazel eyes turned to the mirror, noted the fresh drop of blood trailing down his cheek. “Shit…” Seth sighed out, closing his eyes. 5 minutes in school and he was already ready to get out. Only lord knows how many left to go… |

He hadn't heard the other come in. he flushed and slid out, smoothing his skirt down. He moved up to the sink before finally noticing the least liked boy in school. His eyes grew comically wide as he tried to move away, hoping with all his might the other didn't notice him. Internally he yelled at himself, he'd known it was gonna be a bad day. Should have played it safe and just used the womens. His back hit the section between two stall doors, rather hard, making the entire row shake. If he hadn't been noticed before he surely would now. He felt like a cornered cat. Please don't notice me. Please don't notice me... He repeated the mantra in his head over and over again, green eyes fixed on the back of the biker's head as he slid towards a stall to slip in. I'm not here.... Don't notice me!. He couldn't stop repeating it, like his mind was on an infinite loop. And just his luck, he stumbled as he slit into the stall and fell down, landing on his bottom rather hard, legs awkwardly under him as he felt the door swing fully open, bounce off the stall wall and hit him in the side. Just my luck. He thought it to himself silently and stared at the other. Why hadn't he just stayed home from school today? Played sick? He could think of hundreds of reasons he could have, and should have stayed home. And yet here he was sitting awkwardly on the men's bathroom floor staring up worriedly at the most disliked young man in school. It was quite obvious from the other's vantage point that the most popular, most sought after, most beautiful girl in school, was a man in girls panties.... He tried to smooth his skirt down, press his thighs together, but chances were the other had probably already seen. |

With music blaring from his headphone and into his ears and a stained hoodie on the brink of being unstained Seth was paying no more attention to the world around him than the man on the moon. After he caught that blood dripping down his cheek his eyes went back down to his clothing. Thanks to the mirror he saw a flash of a stall door being opened but didn’t give it a second thought. It was a public restroom after all, meant for more than one person to occupy it comfortably. As soon as there was no trace of Coke left on his gray garment the teenager used his elbow to push down and turn off the faucet, squeezing out the access water covering the stain. It was when he made the move to the dryer sitting on the wall a few feet away from him that he really noticed the other person in the bathroom. Though they took a fall as soon as his hazels landed on them Seth didn’t give too much of a pause, shoving his hoodie under the dirty silver nozzle sticking out of the white dryer and letting the hot hair take care of his wardrobe problem. Still lethargic thanks to being in the one place in the world he could happily avoid for the rest of his life it took Seth’s brain a moment to process what he saw. That much was evident in the way he stared bored at his clothes as he waited for them to dry. Eventually something he saw did click and he turned back to the one sitting on the floor. It was a girl. Seth blinked twice slowly, looking at her as she did him. Am I in the girl’s room? That wouldn’t be much of a surprise if he’d wandered in by accident, but a look over his shoulder towards a row of urinals on the wall told him that wasn’t the case. So she wandered into the men’s room and since there was no guy coming out of the stall she was just in it didn’t look to be an intentional thing. Honestly it wasn’t a big deal to Seth. No one was using the bathroom, everyone had their clothes on, no harm no foul. She could have washed her hands and walked out and the biker would have never thought about it again. However by her sitting on the bathroom floor staring at him like she was going to extend his 100 foot tongue, grab her up with it and swallow her whole she got the thing that she probably didn’t want right then, the teenager’s attention. Seth pulled out his earphone and then tugged his hoodie away from the dryer, waiting the 3 seconds for the stream of air to stop before speaking. “So…are you okay?” Slowly enunciating each syllable Seth broke the silence in the room, raising one of his bushy brows and studying the girl. His brain started moving a bit faster, cluing him into something that he wasn’t aware he’d noticed earlier. It was the girl that every straight guy in the school seemed to like and was talked about fondly by every male sitting in the back of his classes. Seth could only imagine what would have been going on if one of them found her in an empty bathroom instead of him. “Do you want some help?” Seth offered, though sticking by the dryer. The last thing he wanted her to do was think some harm was going to come to her and whip out pepper spray. That stuff was torture. |

He slowly got up when the other asked if he was okay. He gave a nod, not trusting himself to speak and sound like a girl at the moment. He took a few deep breaths. "Ye..yeah I'm fine." He was trying to talk low to cover the fact his voice sounded like a guys at the moment. "I was just.. shocked is all" he forced a smile and moved to the sink to wash his hands. "The girls bathroom is always full of girls fixing their makeup this early in the morning... I prefer to use the mens..." easy lie... But he just couldn't control his voice. He glanced at the other in the mirror and hoped to any higher being that the guy wouldn't notice his voice. Maybe the biker's hearing was slightly impaired from the headphones he always wore? Wishful thinking. He dried his hands with a paper towel and fixed his skirt, feeling just a bit awkward in the boys bathroom with a normal boy in here with him. "We..well please don't tell anyone I was in here... I'd rather not have to deal with the animals." He always referred to the men as animals. That's all they were to him, they thought with their dicks, not their mind. They noticed him only because he was beautiful, if one looked close enough it wasn't THAT hard to tell he was a cross dresser. He grew facial hair like any normal teen boy, though he did get it waxed every other week along with regular shaving. Even for a girl his hips were a bit too narrow. His shoulders, while narrow for a guy, were rather wide for a girl. His stomach was perfectly flat, even the skinniest of girls had more of a curved stomach. He turned to walk away, crouching down picking his backpack up off the floor, adjusting a strap on his heeled sandals while he was down. He glanced over at the biker again and offered him a slight smile. They were really in the same position he realized. Everyone hated and feared....Seth was his name right? And every male wanted in his skirt, even some girls did. He gave a slight sigh, unintentionally. He stood straight again, smoothing his hands down his shirt and heading for the door. "You...You won't tell anyone right?" He paused and looked back at Seth. This was the most he'd talked at school while not giving a presentation in a long time. It was slightly shocking to hear his own voice while in the building. |

As soon as the girl said she was fine Seth turned his attention back to the dryer and the hoodie that still needed to be rid of water before he would even think about going to class. If it took him all of first period then so be it. Algebra II kicked off his day and he didn’t mind putting his clothing on a higher level than quadratic functions or whatever was being jammed down his throat that particular week. Before he could get the damp spot of fabric back under the dryer however that girl started speaking again, prompting him to stop what he was doing and give her at least some of his attention. His mother was big on chivalry, in spite of the roaring feminist spirit that she portrayed to people. She raised his son to be respectful, full of manner, and to do everything that a perfect gentleman would do, in hopes that her baby boy would be a hot item when he was in high school and would have ladies to woo left and right. Even before Seth knew that without a doubt he wasn’t going to be anything that a girl in his school would want half of those lessons barely got into one ear before they were reject. Some were beaten in until they were simply unconscious mechanical habits, which was why Seth set his hoodie on the counter and abandoned the dryer for a moment, so he could listen to the out of place girl. It sounded like she might be sick, or like one of the women on his dad’s side of the family, the one that could fool you into believing they were a young guy over the phone. “You were shocked to find a man in the men’s room?” That made no sense. Her reasoning behind why she was in there did, so he chalked it up to him not being able to understand what she was thinking at the time and gave her the benefit of the doubt. Seth grabbed a paper towel from nearby, wetting it a little before dragging it across his cheek to clean off the stray red mark that was decorating it. Seth hummed lightly when the teen girl spoke up again. Animals. For Seth, that meant everyone single person within the building, but he didn’t ask her to be specific. He let her go, drying his face with another paper towel and staring in the mirror to see if his cut would bleed again. Upon hearing her voice for another time he turned back to look at her, chuckling lightly. The idea that he would have someone to say something to was a sad and hilarious one. “I don’t know who I would or why I would. This kind of thing could happen to anybody.” He shrugged and yawned, tossing his used towels into the trash and grabbing his hoodie once again. “But if you don’t want anyone else to know, you might want to stick around until the bell rings and this hall clears.” Seth wouldn’t say anything to anyone but if she left she would just be setting herself up. Not to mention if curious people made their way into the bathroom and saw the biker there then rumors were going to kick up, rumors that would bring about more unwanted attention. “We only have a few minutes left, then you can go between the first and the tardy bell so you don’t get caught in the sweep.” That was probably the most any person in the school ever let Seth say to them without it leading to a fight. Seth picked his hoodie back up, shoving it under the dryer as his brain still worked to fully process the sight of the girl falling earlier. There was something that he caught that just wasn’t getting to him yet, it would probably take him a few more minutes to grasp it. |

He hated to admit that the other was right. He sighed and moved away from the door, setting his bag on the counter and lifting himself easily onto it, crossing one leg over the other. He watched him with slight curiosity, glad to know that the other outcast wouldn't tell anyone. But he was right, who would he tell? He sighed and leaned back, letting his head hit the mirror rather hard. Why did minutes seem so long when you were actually waiting for them to pass? He closed his eyes and moved a hand up, pulling his long hair over his shoulder and running his fingers through it. He was easily relaxed by the silky soft feel of his own hair between his fingers. Charis opened his eyes and looked over at the other. Had he seen anything that could make this awkward? Charis stopped really caring to do anything to hide the fact he was male...his own manhood could be easily seen if he sat wrong. He used to go to great lengths to make sure that it wasn't as easily noticeable, but he'd gotten sick of it and half hoped someone would find out. He only had a year and a half of high school left and if no one was looking at him it would make his time a lot easier. He hefted a sigh and flicked his hair back over his shoulder, pulling is old flip phone out of his bag to check the time. Still two minutes to go. He glanced over, watching Seth a moment. He didn't really seem so bad. They had only English together this year, and with how often Seth was gone, and always sitting in the back Charis had never really taken notice of him. He knew that they were at the same level of being outside the rest of the school population, but on opposite ends of the spectrum. He smiled a bit, while he himself was on a pedestal to the boys in the school, Seth was no better than gutter trash. He half wondered if Seth was any different than the rest of them. |

After plugging his other ear up with his headphones once again Seth started whistling over the sound of the dryer going, closing his eyes and using his scarred fingers to feel out the spot that was covered with soda earlier. It was almost dry, he might be able to get out while the tardy sweep was going on. That was actually the best time to skip, since all of the teachers who were supposed to perform the duty were all concentrated in a few halls and didn’t bother to check outside. Seth decided that he deserved some breakfast and made a plan to stop by his mom’s friend’s diner before making it back to school in time to catch his Metal Shop and English classes that finished off his day. At least I can say that I was in school. Thinking about to his dad on the couch at home Seth gave in a little, also because if his friend was willing to pay him full price for his work the school was a lot closer to his house than the tattoo parlor or any of his usual haunts. His mind continued to wander in random directions, no particular destination in sight as he continued to wake up. Seth almost forgot that the girl was in the bathroom with him, not that he would have done anything differently if he was there by himself instead of waiting with her for the bell to ring. Maybe picking at his fresh scar— Slowly Seth poked out his lower lip, his thoughts finally catching up to what he saw earlier. It made him turn to look over his shoulder at the girl sitting on the counter, hazel eyes giving her a once over. He couldn’t have seen what he thought he saw…then again it wasn’t exactly unheard of, and it would make more sense out of why she was in the guy’s restroom instead of the girl’s. The teen quickly shook his head. He definitely needed some breakfast and he couldn’t be expected to sit through class with his mind still have asleep, so he was fully determined to leave. As soon as the bell rung over their heads Seth pulled his dried hoodie away from the tunnel of hot air and pulled it on over his head. Grabbing his helmet and his backpack Seth took it upon himself to be the first one to leave, heading towards the door. If there was anyone lingering out in the hall they would surely start running in the other direction and clear it out when they saw Seth approach, or either follow him and heckle him all the way to their class. “Be careful in the morning if you really do make a habit out of using the guy’s.” Seth stopped and turned to look back at the girl sitting on the counter. “Some really bad things could happen if you catch the wrong guy in here with you instead of me.” The biker could appreciate beauty as much as the next guy but it wasn’t enough to attract him. He was told by older women in his life that he was miles ahead of guy’s his age that still only needed a pretty face and a nice figure for them to declare love and do whatever to have the girl…or maybe the guy in this case. He couldn’t very well ask the girl to lift up her skirt to confirm his thoughts so he didn’t. “You might just want to use one of the handicap bathrooms around here or something. Either way, have a nice day.” Seth gave a two finger wave to the girl before pulling open the door slightly and looking into the all. It was fairly empty and sure enough as soon as eyes were on him it started clearing out. With a sigh Seth made a right and started down to the other side of the school to where he could make his escape for his second breakfast of the morning. |
