Username: Shin Preferred Name: Isabel / Is Age (optional): 20 Years role-playing: 6-7 on/off Favorite Genre: I'll try everything once, except for what I list below. Least favorite genre: horror, pirates, would like avoid werewolves/werefoxes if at all possible. Anything you’d like to add: I used to go on SBY...but I returned and it looks very dead. Role-playing Sample: It was a Saturday afternoon, and honestly, you'd think that someone that was eighteen had something better to do than wonder out to the town graveyard and sit. But then, Kelley guessed he was wierd that way. He was wierd in a lot of ways, actually, he sported the title of the only High School Dropout in town, and he would rather sit in the family cemetary and polish tombstones rather than going to actually try to hang out. But it wasn't like anyone wanted to hang out with the town Gravedigger. They called him that, he knew, he wasn't deaf, nor was he stupid. Although his parents and his brother and sister certainly thought different. Lynne was a dentist, while Isaac was studying to become a brain surgeon; although he was sort of kind of failing at it. The fact that Kelley, their younger brother, was a high school dropout and had earned the nickname of the 'Gravedigger' was unthinkable. Kelley knew that he gave his parents more than his fair share of headaches, but he never forgave his brother or his sister because they had had the nerve to discuss the fact that Kelley was crazy in more ways than one, and wanted to send him off to some psychiatric hospital to relieve their parents. Kelley really resented them for that, just because they were more successful and out of town didn't give them any damn right to interfere with his life. If he was perfectly happy to polish tombstones for this rest of his life, then well. They shouldn't stop him. But no, that wasn't right. Kelley paused, the wet cloth still in his hand, on the smooth porcelain stone. That wasn't right. He wasn't perfectly happy, in fact, far from it, his reasoning was that if he hadn't been happy, he wouldn't have tried to drown himself in the freezing lake just last month. That incident had been the talk of town, and Kelley didn't come out of the house for a week. He stared down at the tombstone he was polishing. There was a large white rose there engraved carefully into the center, this person, whoever he had been in life, must have loved roses. Kelley didn't think anything of roses, they were pretty, yes, but all you really had to do, was step on them once (and it iddn't even have to be all that hard) and they wouldn't be pretty again. Besides, pretty things were hardly practical. Too many people didn't understand that. Didn't admit that, those people were very stupid in Kelley's book. He stopped briefly to light a cigarette and blew smoke towards the sky. |

***Approved*** Yes, SB is rather dead-ish, but more than a few handfuls of members from there are currently here, so you may bump into some familiar faces (screen names?) around the forums. Welcome to High Voltage! Enjoy yourself~. |
