Preferred Name: Ribonuke or Ribo are fine. ^^

Age (optional): 18 since December 21st 2009

Years role-playing: Since I was about 11, but I didn't really get a better grip of reality and the human psyche in fiction until about 15. So...maybe about nine years?

Favorite Genre: Action, Adventure, Comedy, Black Comedy, Slasher, Sc-fi, Sci-fi/Fantasy

Least Favorite Genre: Straight-up Fantasy, such as Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter kinda stuff don't usually sit well with me.

Anything you’d like to add: Well...I think you guys should know that I'm a relatively asexual person; it might take me a while to get me to come out of my shell within my fiction, but I am trying to remedy that.

Also...um...I have a tendency to include a lot of violence in my fiction. I will be sure to categorize them appropriately.

So...while I'm anything but perverted...I guess I'm more of a 'gorevert'? I have a few 'kinks', but...okay maybe I'd better just shut my trap before the plants start dying.

Role-playing Sample:

((A year ago I would've been proud of this, but now I know it's going to come out cheesyyyy... D= Also, yes, I know this is a female character in the sample, but...yeah.))

As expected from yesterday's news forecast, the October weather continued to play it straight with the citizens of Holly Branch, the chilly air stung her dry nostrils. Beatrix LaMontagne was an all-natural girl who always sought out herbal remedies in lieu of Tylenol, but she still couldn't bring herself to give up Afrin. Alas, she would have to wait until she came to another place to sit before she could administer it; what, with Jody tugging so hard upon his leash, wrassling a nosespray bottle from her purse was going to be impossible with only one hand.

Some knew her as a good and honest friend. Others, noteably her neighbors, knew her as the strange lady next door with the Doberman. Despite the latter reputation, she was not at all particularly strange; she had a decent sense of fashion, and her social life wasn't at all limited or bare. Perhaps it was the Doberman that made her strange? She'd never know.

Jody was her darling boy, the sweetest guy she's ever known. True, he did have a loud bark when visitors came, but once he knew that the 'intruder' wasn't a threat, he would become relaxed. After all, she knew that he was only trying to do his job in protecting her. Nevertheless, the stigma that surrounded his breed proved troublesome to her romantic life.

At last, as she rounded the corner of the block, she found what she'd been looking for: a park bench. Brushing away the damp brown leaves, she sat down upon it. Ouch. The metal strips were spaced just far enough to make the seat uncomfortable. Oh well. She threaded the coiled arm of the bench through the loop in Jody's leash, satisfied that he would remain secure. She then sat her purse at her side, unzipping the internal compartment and removing a bottle of Afrin.

After quickly inhaling it a few times, she carefully twisted the cap back on the bottle and replaced it into the bag. Now all she needed to do was sit back and enjoy the view. From her vantage point, she had a clear view of the lonely bay. The overcast sky gave the water a grey wash, making it pale but beautiful, like the skin of a fashion model or something. Like the ocean, she too was feeling a bit under the weather. Jody seemed to sense this as well, for instead of going off to sniff at a nearby leaf, he sat loyally at her side, keeping vigil.

"Oh, Jody." she sighed, leaning over and giving him a pat on the head. "God love ya, but pretty soon you're not gonna be enough to keep me company anymore."

((Aaack, that came out disturbingly like a section from a Mary Higgins Clark novel. Ah well, Beatrix was always a sort of yuppie anyway. ^^;; ))

Not much I can add to critique except maybe more details. Like dealing with the park or what kind of town Bea’s located in… or even her clothing choice. (More descriptive versus just saying she had a relatively good fashion sense.)

Other than that, good job. ^__^ Welcome to High Voltage, Ribo.

PS: Don’t worry about it being a female character. We do roleplay het and yuri on here… just not often because most of us are originally from a Yaoi site.
