" My problem with people...is different from your own," murmurs Kire softly, a strange expression on his face as he sighs softly, looking at Celestine as he smiles gently. " People LIKE to be around me...they try to group around me...my aura tends to draw certain beings to me...and in all truth it freaks me out..." Kire sighs softly, breathing out slowly as he looks at his bangles, eyes half lidded. " I'm not like my siblings...physically or aura wise...the only family member thats even slightly similar in aura is my eldest nephew...but only too the point that he draws people to him...and he can handle it...I can't..." Kire sighs, a lost expression on his face as he thinks to himself for a silent moment. " The realm I come from...is a very cruel place at times..." Kire smiles sadly, looking at Celestine as he tilts his head in thought. " And for a healer like me...losing not only a patient but the person you love the most...isn't exactly something that makes you want to draw near to others from that same realm..." Mizu sighs as he sits inside, hearing Kire's words as he can feel the others sadness seem to form a wave ebbing and flowing as he breathes out slowly a sad smile on his pale lips as he stands up, walking out to the balcony as Kire blinks. " Mikal's death wasn't your fault Kire," murmurs Mizu softly as Kire groans softly, sitting down as he pulls his knee's close as Mizu breathes out slowly. " You did all you could for him...YOU almost died trying to keep him alive..." " Happiness eludes those who don't look for it," whispers Kire softly as Mizu sighs softly, a strange expression on his face. " And it escapes from those who find it..." Mizu sighs, looking at the Moonflower as he smiles slightly. " So find it against Kire...no where does it say you can only be happy once in your lifetime does it?" murmurs Mizu softly as Kire smiles weakly, nodding a bit at Mizu's words. " As I recall you told me your sister found happiness again...and if I recall you said Mikal said he found happiness for the second time with you..." " You're right Mizu..." murmurs Kire, sighing softly as he looks toward Celestine a strange expression on his face for a silent moment. " And you really haven't tried to find yourself any happiness have you Celestine?" |

Celestine was somewhat surprised to hear that Kire drew people to him without intending it. He really was his opposite. He tried to imagine what it would be like for his aura to draw people willingly or not to it and then shook his head, sending his soft green hair back into his eyes as he realized he couldn't envision it. It was just too out of his depth but he imagined it would get irritating. "Mizu mentioned that you'd lost someone precious to you..." Celestine commented, glancing down toward the moon garden. It was too far for him to do any damage without intent so he was somewhat pleased to be able to gaze upon the flowers. He didn't want to pry, it wasn't in character for him. Celestine glanced toward Kire when he sunk down and pulled his knees to his chest. It must be difficult to lose someone you had such an attachment to. He wouldn't know. His parents were still alive, as was his brother and he had no one else, and either way it wouldn't quite be like losing a lover. When asked if he'd never tried for happiness, Celestine glanced toward the garden again. "It's hard to look for happiness when you cause pain to everyone around you. I used to think it would be easier if I died, but then that seemed counter productive since there is something that only I can do. So no, I haven't tried. It's painful enough to hope." |

" Mizu is wise beyond his years," murmurs Kire softly as Mizu just smiles, a strange expression on his face as Kire looks toward Celestine, tilting his head a bit as he can't help my giggle softly. Mizu blinks, looking at Kire as the "demon" breathes out slowly, a strange ethereal calm almost seeming to surround him as he sighs to himself. " It was about 10 years ago...during a rather unsettled time in the Bahara Kingdom that it happened...he was in the wrong place at the wrong time..." Kire looks up toward the sky, a gentle light in his eyes as he sighs softly. " My sister is the Queen of the Bahara Kingdom and though she's never there she's also the sitting Queen of the Zakama Court of Crowns...her sisters...my sisters don't like that and started a war..." " Which led to you picking up arms again," murmurs Mizu softly as Kire smiles sadly, a strange look on his pale face for a moment. " I remember hearing tales of the Nephilim Knight of Bahara when I was little..." Kire chuckles softly, smiling a bit as Mizu breathes out slowly. " You'd sworn off weapons after you met Lord Mikal, but too protect him and your family you picked up your sword again..." " I had him...my sister...my nephews...my niece...my son..." murmurs Kire softly as Mizu blinks, not knowing that Kire has a child as Kire smiles sadly. " He wasn't Mikal's Mizu...he was 50 when it all happened...young for one of my species...he wasn't living in Bahara at the time...he still isn't...but if I hadn't fought the war would have spread to where he was...and I couldn't allow that too happen..." Mizu nods, tilting his head as he wanders back inside, looking at Simon as a strange expression plays at his face for a moment. " Wonder how long it's going to take before he really breaks down," murmurs Mizu, sitting down on his bed as he breathes out slowly. " Telling all of this...it's just going to bring his emotions into stark contrast..." |

Celestine listened to Kire's story, paying quite a bit more attention than, perhaps, he would show to another being wanting to relate an important area of their life to him. He'd told practically everything important concerning his own family to Mizu and Simon earlier, but that was quite unusual. Somewhere Celestine had inherently sensed that Simon had a right to know about the family he came from, at least on his father's side. But maybe that was the only side he needed to know about. Celestine had heard about his mother and thought that she would make an excellent meal of despair had she managed to hurt more people. If his brother hadn't been on the outs with reality he would have loved to have rescued Simon from his harsh environment. Celestine kept his eyes toward the garden as Kire talked, though every now and then he couldn't help but look at the demon who was relating the story of how his lover had died. Strange, but he was sympathizing with the man as much as he was able to. Celestine felt emotions residually unless he allowed them to better affect him, in which case he sort of broke down. He was proud, though, that no one but his brother had ever seen him cry. "So you had a number of people to fight for. That's quite admirable," Celestine commented. He crossed his arms over each other and wound his fingers together before he finally turned back toward the interior of the mansion and looked down at Kire more obviously. "You don't have to say more if it's going to make you unstable," Celestine finally said. Simon glanced out toward Kire and sat on the bed next to Mizu. He'd already ordered the food and had been listening from inside the room. He looked over at Mizu with obvious concern in his eyes. "He seems like he's suffered a lot. I can feel it...it's different from Celestine. A little more open but...somewhat mature. Or at least more mature than I would be..." |

" My sister...raised me after my adopted parents...her parents passed away when I was only 200...a teenager in our realm," murmurs Kire softly, a strange far-away expression on his pale face. " Given she's 1000 years old now...but our general life span is between 1500 and 2000 mattering on circumstances and such...so right now I'm the equivalent of a 20 year old or so...my sisters roughly 40 in human terms I suppose...perhaps a bit older...she's past the age she can give birth to children though..." Kire tilts his head, smiling a bit as he looks at Celestine through half-lidded eyes. " You haven't seen unstable yet," murmurs Kire, smiling a bit as he breathes out slowly, his wings fluttering a bit as he looks up at the sky. " I was out on patrol of the palace when it happened...my two elder sisters attacked the palace...attacked the section where Mikal had been staying as he recovered from a snake bite and then blood poisoning...by the time I got there he was too far gone for me or anyone else to have been able to heal him...he'd lost too much blood..." Kire falls silent, looking at the sky as a strange smile plays at his pale lips. " He'd made these bangles for me...much like Mizu makes his orbs and charms and such..." " Kire's...strong but he's also broken and shattered," murmurs Mizu softly, a sad expression on his face as he watches Kire. " His birth parents died when he was just a baby...then one of his siblings...the closest one in age to him died when he was in his 50's...then his adopted parents at the age of 200...he thought his son's mother had died...found out years later it had been a trick by the royal family...then he found out he was a father...he hasn't ever even seen Okire other then in photo's...and then 10 years ago Mikal died...I'm just amazed he hasn't totally lost it.." |

Celestine was unsurprised to hear just how complicated Kire's life had been. Nonhuman creatures lived much longer and thus had more relationships over the span of many years so they had more to tell than humans. He had a feeling that Kire was keeping to the surface of these events to preserve his emotional integrity, which was fine by Celestine. He didn't really want to feed on Kire's despair, and he was so hungry that he'd do it without thinking if he managed to make himself in a state more distraught than the sadness he was currently experiencing. "Wow. You aren't kidding about needing luck," Celestine commented, smiling almost bitterly as he thought about his own life in comparison. "I had adoptive parents too...or something like that when I was a kid. After a few years in the heavenly realm my father was overruled and I was sent down to this plane with part angel foster parents to raise me since they figured it would be too dangerous for me to live in a world where I couldn't use any magical powers. I lived with them for about a year before my foster mother died. I was still pretty small and she took me to the park so I could get out of the house and she could write up something for work. I ended up falling off of the...whatever that wiry thing is, and struck my head against the fence that surrounded it. I bled all over the place and the other kids just ran off because they were scared but my foster mother came right away. She picked me up and took us home so she could try to heal me but right as she was preparing to help she realized that her skin was burning." He closed his eyes briefly as he recalled the situation. She had had long brown hair with lighter strands that were proof of her tie to the angelic world. She'd put it up when they went to the park and as she flailed about after she'd realized how badly his blood hurt he remembered it had flickered along after her like some sort of insistent puppet. His head had hurt so badly but he could only really watch her hair as she ran to the sink and desperately tried to wash off her hands. His blood didn't break her skin which made it odder that she was panicking so much. She'd screamed and clawed at her arms enough to tear up the skin and shed her own blood. Celestine had tried to stay conscious as she dropped to her knees and sobbed. Her hair was bathed in her blood from getting caught in the movement and it stained the floor with thin streams of red as she thrashed around one last time before becoming perfectly still. "She cut herself in her panic and my blood got into her bloodstream. She died then and I was conscious enough to call for help. My foster father came home a few hours later but had guessed enough to not touch me." |

" I lose luck like you take it in," murmurs Kire softly, a gentle look on his pale face as he sighs softly. Kire giggles softly, thinking to the past as he breathes out slowly, " But I suppose I could use for a bit of luck...I've never much had any...rarely some's come to me, but it's generally people have been drawn to other bits of my aura..." Kire breathes out slowly as he listens quietly to Celestine's words, eyes widening a bit as he takes in a deep breathe, a strange lost look on his face for a silent moment, thinking something over in his head as he smiles to himself. " There's little too nothing in the records about my parents...but from what Analai...that's my eldest sister...what she told me at least...speaks to the fact that they really didn't live for long after my birth...so I'm assuming that my mother died in child birth," murmurs Kire softly, an almost haunted look on his face for a moment. " And as alot of those of my species become so closely bonded...I don't doubt my father subcummed to his sorrow quickly after..." Mizu sighs, tilting his head in thought as he looks out, watching them for a moment before looking toward Simon, a gentle smile on his pale lips. " I think...it's good for the both of them to share," murmurs Mizu softly. " If you keep pains locked up...they fester like old wounds..." |

Celestine never enjoyed talking about that part of his past. Why would he when he'd had to live with the knowledge that he could kill someone just by being alive, with absolutely no ill will or bad intention toward the person at all? His foster mother's last moments were stuck somewhere in the back of his mind and whenever he considered meeting someone new it was almost like it kept going on repeat there. He couldn't afford to spend time around others more than they could tolerate or it was dangerous. He didn't want to be responsible for someone else's death in that way again. "My foster father was actually quite forgiving about the whole thing. He saw that it wasn't something I consciously did but he delivered me back to my father and brother without touching me ever again. I heard what he told my father, though they thought I was out of the room at the time. He knew it wasn't my fault but he couldn't stand seeing me all the same, knowing that I was innocent in the intention for her to die but knowing all the same that I was the one who had done it." Celestine trailed off when Kire spoke about his own parents. So he may have been responsible for his mother's death but that was quite a different case than Celestine's. Of course, he'd dealt overall with far more loss. "Perhaps you can take some of my luck then. I never have anything to do with it. You see, I don't have good luck or bad luck in and of myself. My aura negates everything so I just have no luck at all. I collect it unconsciously but I've never quite figured out how to give it to others." That would require experimentation and Celestine wasn't really excited at the notion of experimenting with his own powers again. He shifted his position so that he was less closed up on himself, his body unfolded slightly so he no longer looked cold and uncomfortable, and reached up to run his hand through his hair. "Experiments go badly with me. There's..." he trailed off. Too hard to talk about. Simon nodded and nudged Mizu with his shoulder lightly. "It's still tense but it feels like the sadness is easing up just a bit with their saying something." |

" The wounds deep in your heart and in your mind," murmurs Kire softly, looking at Celestine as he smiles ever so slightly. " And it probably always will be sadly...but if you share it might help...might make the pain a bit less sever..." Kire stretches a bit, tilting his head a bit at Celestine's words as he breathes out slowly. " It's...hard to forgive..." murmurs Kire softly, a strange lost look on his face for a moment. " I'll never be able to forgive my two sisters....I just can't...forgiveness isn't something those two deserve...not after all they've done to my family...and they ARE my family..." Kire falls silent for a moment, sighing softly as he tilts his head for a moment in thought. " I'm not certain I can take in luck...not like you can...my body seems to repel it...many people have tried to give me some...my sister...my nephews...Mikal...my brother...it just doesn't stick..." Mizu sighs softly, eyes half lidded as he smiles at Simon. " Yeah, they don't seem to be in as much pain," murmurs Mizu softly as he breathes out slowly. " I wonder when the food will arrive...I wish we could find Celestine someone to feed off of..." |

Celestine closed his eyes and sighed. "I suppose it would help if I talked about it but I can't even think about it most days without feeling strange. It's not sad...exactly, it's just painful. I'm sure that someday I'll be able to do so but maybe before then you'll just see it and spare me the trouble of explaining. But the long and the short of things around the topic I'm avoiding is that I don't take well to experiments." He finally sat down on the balcony next to Kire and stretched his slender legs out in front of him. Celestine glanced toward the other man then, realizing that he was a bit closer than he'd been to anyone else lately. He didn't know how he thought of that, only that it wasn't unpleasant. "Perhaps if you stay around me long enough then your defenses will lower, as will mine, and perhaps my collection will decide to spread itself out a bit. You have to admit it's a nice thought." Simon looked at Mizu with rather wide eyes. "You mean find someone who causes or is in despair and...what? Bring them in? That sounds sort of strange to say aloud." He got up when the buzzer rang and let in the nondescript servants who worked in the afternoon. They left the tray in the living area before the bedroom and Simon pulled the top off and started unloading things onto the large table near the second balcony window. |

" I like experimenting at times," murmurs Kire, a strange expression on his face as he smiles slightly. " With making things...making swords...using my abilities...but I know what you mean...some people's abilities don't lend themselves well to being played with..." Kire smiles as he looks at Celestine, his eyes seeming to twinkle a bit as he breathes out slowly, looking at the Moonflower as he reaches out slowly, brushing his fingers against it's petals as the flower seems to almost dance as Kire giggles. " Ah...well that's interesting...Gami somehow managed upon a Zakaman Desert Moonflower...how strange..." Kire blinks at Celestine's words as he smiles to himself, a wistful look on his face. " Yes I suppose it would be...I don't know how I'd handle all the luck though," murmurs Kire as he stretches a bit, licking his lips as he smells the food. " I wish there was something we could do to help your hunger Celestine..." " Pretty much so, and I know it's weird...but he's hungry and I don't like seeing people hungry," murmurs Mizu softly, a strange smile on his face as he sighs softly. " It'd be one thing if he fed off sadness...true despairs hard to find..." |

Celestine glanced at the flower, but he was too trained in the ways of not killing delicate living things to look straight at it. He could appreciate the way that it responded to Kire's light touch. "I wish flowers could do that when I messed with them. Once I touched a cactus and it wilted but didn't totally die. I gave it some water from one of my rings and it seemed to perk up just a bit. Oh..." Celestine sat forward a bit, so that his right hand covered his mouth as he smiled at the memory that came to him upon remembering the thought that occurred to him. "My brother...he was so sad when my powers manifested and we learned that no one would really be able to stand being around me for long. He said he wished, in that moment he wanted more than anything for me to be able to have even a small thing that could be around me. And he said the next day he practically tripped over a flower in bloom. Bizarrely enough there was a little fluffy green bird inside. He ran home with it and told me to loo k at it. After he yelled at me for an hour I finally did and the little thing chirped instead of died. We were sure it wasn't completely alive, but he was able to stay around me...but unfortunately he insisted on going with me just about everywhere and got lost...when I was pursuing a target. I looked for him for ages but never found him again." He sat back when he noticed that Simon had started to set out the human food in the next room. "I guess creatures of light tend to get lost in hell...which is why I didn't want Midi to come with me but he wasn't used to being separated..." Celestine got to his feet when Kire mentioned the food. "I'm fine. Once I manage to finish another job I'll be perfectly full. It's sort of a gnawing sense but I can ignore it pretty easily." Simon nodded when Mizu mentioned he didn't like people to go hungry. "It seems a part of Celestine's unfortunate nature that things seem to be hard for him. But he doesn't seem too upset about not being able to eat..." |

" Hmm, you shouldn't be too afraid of these two plants dying," murmurs Kire softly, a smirk playing at his lips as he giggles. " That Sunflowers not exactly from this realm either...I think it's from the greenhouses of the Meikelan demon kingdom...I have no clue how Gami managed to get these plants...but they're not going to go down easily...and believe me...I have not green thumb and I haven't been able to kill a Zakaman Moonflower for the life of me...and I did try once...I let some of my non-detoxified blood fall over it one and...I think toxins might just be fertilizer to them..." Kire blinks, hearing Celestines story as he tilts his head in thought a strange expression on his face. " A green bird from a flower?" Kire raises an eyebrow, thinking to himself as he falls silent for a moment. " All green...or did it pick up more colors when the sun hit it..." " I suppose so," murmurs Mizu softly, smiling a bit as he sighs, eyes half lidded as he looks at the food. " At least Kire won't be hungry and he can get too trying to heal your hand!" |

"Even if they don't die immediately then it's still not good for most living things, except for you I suppose, if I may too much attention to them. It defies logic, honestly. And I usually don't have the integrity to make sure. It's one thing if you decide to try my blood willingly but another if I destroy something beautiful just because I was curious." He put his hands in his pockets to cover them since Celestine didn't quite feel 'in the job' enough to don his gloves. He glanced back toward the moon garden when Kire asked about Midi. "He was mostly green, but in the light his feathers would take on a different sheen." Simon ate a muffin slowly as he watched Kire and Celestine again. He glanced at Mizu when he mentioned his hand and he managed a smile. "I wouldn't want to bother him with it...but he's such a nice person that I suppose he wouldn't leave without at least trying. And that's really because you already knew him. You're an amazing person. Mizu..." |

" Hmm, well I know of some species that are pretty hardy," murmurs Kire softly, eyes half lidded as he smiles. " Someday I'll introduce you too the demon horses of my sisters kingdom...they have rather caustic blood themselves...as I've learned on occasion when treating wounds..." Kire tilts his head, thinking to himself for a moment as he breathes out slowly, a strange far away expression on his pale face. " Sounds similar to a species of spirit birds we have down in my realm," murmurs Kire softly, a strange expression on his face. " The parents lay the eggs in the blossoms of a specific type of flowering plant...the plant keeps the eggs and the proper temperature and then after about two months those eggs hatch into this emerald green birds that glow a strange bluish color in the sunlight...I don't know exactly what they're called though...and I wouldn't doubt there's a species like that up in the heavenly realms as well..." " Kire doesn't like seeing people in pain...even if he just saw you on the street and noticed your hand...if he thought he could heal it without doing further damage he would most certainly try," murmurs Mizu softly. |
