Username: Kaitu Preferred Name: Kai, Kaitu Age (optional): Over 18, less than 30. Years role-playing: Damned if I know. More than ten years I think. Favorite Genre: Anything with a decent amount of action and romance. Least favorite genre: Most really hard things. Anything you’d like to add: Meh. Role-playing Sample: Clive had been excited to hear that his parents were going to take him and his older brother with them to the beach house this summer. He had hoped that they would spend the time together as a family, but in the end, everyone had gone their separate ways the moment they had arrived. His mother had gone to some salon, his father had gone to a friend's to watch 'the game', and his older brother went to a nearby mall to find others to 'hang' with. Despite the mutual dislike of his older brother, Clive would have liked it if he had been invited to go with him. But as usual, his brother showed no consideration for him. Neither did his parents, for that matter. So now Clive was stuck spending the summer by himself, being too shy to approach any of the kids that he had spied his own age. That was the reason why Clive and his father didn't get along. His father wanted Clive to be more like his brother, James. He wanted him to be the popular, out going jock type who had multiple girlfriends. His mother simply stopped paying attention to him once Clive started to form his own opinions, which often contradicted his mother's ignorant view of the world. And his brother simply disliked him because they both knew Clive was far more intelligent. There was a jealousy there that James would never admit to, no matter what circumstances. Clive himself never really hated his brother, but he never found any of James' hobbies to be interesting enough, so Clive never tried to take part in them. That is, when he wasn't forced to. Usually his parents forced him to go to his basketball, or baseball, or whatever else -ball sports he was currently playing, but Clive would often bury his nose in a book to ignore his father's constant comparisons. Clive wasn't a bad looking kid, by no means. The boy had good genes within him, to the point that he often had a few female admirers. He had dirty blond hair, which was often shaggy and uncontrollable. His hair color often got lighter in the summer, and darker in the winter. His eyes were a dark shade of blue, and his skin tanned up rather easily, provided it saw any sun. He was probably a little underweight, but the muscle would be there if he would work out. As for height, he wasn't the shortest kid in his class, but he was far from the tallest. Of course, once he got dubbed with the label of 'geek', no girl would approach him. Not that he cared, to be honest. Despite the occasional fixation on a boob, Clive wasn't really into girls. He mostly figured that he just hadn't met one worth getting into, yet. Clive had spent most of that day lounging around the house watching TV. He had forgotten his bag of books and his parents refused to turn around once he had noticed, so the boy was left with very, very little to do. Frustrated, he had finally decided to go to the beach in hopes of something to do presenting itself. He changed into his trunks, which were a pair of old black ones that were hand-me-downs from his brother. They were too big, and hung rather loosely off his hips, despite how tight Clive pulled the drawstring. He knew that going swimming was out of the question. The trunks would slip off too easily and he didn't want to imagine the run home. Once he had gotten to beach, he walked up and down it, lost in his own thoughts. When he had stopped walking, and just stood and watched, something amazing happened. An adult came and started talking to him. And despite the 'stranger danger' classes that were shoved down his throat all those years ago in grade school, Clive found himself talking back. They had a wonderful conversation, with the man hanging on Clive's every word. Clive found the man fascinating and intelligent, and was very disappointed when the other announced he had to leave for the day, but would return the next. Clive waited anxiously for Kama's visit the next day, and Clive had a second wonderful discussion with the man. Near the end of their day, Kama asked Clive to stay the night with him the following day. Clive, eager to spend more time with Kama, and mostly oblivious, quickly agreed. He knew his parents wouldn't care, so he simply told them he would be spending the night 'with a friend'. As anticipated, his parents shrugged it off without much notice and Clive woke the next day and packed an over night bag. After eating lunch, he headed out towards the place Kama asked they meet. Clive blinked in surprise as the other took him into his arms, but didn't think too much of it. He looked up at Kama and smiled brightly before nodding his head in response to the other's question. "Yeah, they don't mind at all," Clive said. |
