"And you're telling me all this... why?" Tish asked, unimpressed. "You can breathe and walk, and the guvvies have their heads firmly lodged up their own assholes. You're not the only codeless guy running around here." Obviously, the youth wanted to talk right now. Tish wasn't going to stop him. Talkative people were a good source of info, and he didn't even have to get this one drunk first. That meant Simon was almost certainly a newbie in the underground buisness. Maybe he'd end up saying something useful. So far, the boy was stuck in the middle of his own pity-party, he hadn't even realised that Tish had carefully avoided to tell him any actual information about himself. A nickname and the possibility that someone out there was after his ass, that was worthless. Everyone had someone after them nowadays. It wasn't anything special. Still... Tish was feeling generous. He'd been a rookie too, what felt like a whole lifetime ago. He'd been an eager, bright-eyed youth, before his personnal world fell appart. That had been a long, long way away, though... "I can help you find a place to sleep and lay low for a couple days." He offered. "You'll owe me a favor. You already owe me one, but since you're not familiar with the price system... " |

Right away, at the mention of the 'price system', Simon smiled and interrupted. "$20 dollars for a feel-up, $50 for a full-body groping. $130 for a blowjob, $200 for anal and you pay for the condoms. $530 for actual sex, and that brings about a $50 deposit for the room, which I know of one that'd suffice around here. Another $30 to $500, depending on if you have any fetishes you want satisfied. You still interested?" Only then did Simon turn his head to look at Tish, after spouting off the prices for the 'services' he'd listed. And judging from the way Simon smiled, he had told Tish the prices both to get a reaction from Tish, and as an actual recital of the services he provided, quite seriously if Tish were interested in the actual sales pitch itself. "You gonna pick that jaw up off the ground, or do I have to do that for you? That'd be another 5 bucks if it led to a bed." A look of almost pure delight twinkled in Simon's eyes, knowing full well what most people thought when that list was rattled off from someone as good-looking and innocent (Well, when he's clean he looks innocent enough) as Simon. "As to the place to stay, X takes care of me, as well as paying me for any information I can provide them. You still want to take me to your place for the night? Or would you rather come swing by mine? Don't worry, it's not connected to X itself, merely a flat that's rented out to those in the employ of X. No one is allowed to be contacted by people in X while in their own place, so you'd not need to worry bout much at mine." Again, that twinkle in his eyes at throwing Tish for a loop. If Tish had thought Simon to be just a random person, Simon has just quashed that thought. It also explained why Simon had no real problem with speaking without inhibition, since X was well known for protection their own. |

Dear God, or whatever creator one would feel like following, or not following, whatever... Dear God, that kid was a complete sexual deviant! Tish frowned, managing to keep most of the surprise off his face. It shouldn't have come as such a shock, Tish had met some people no one would've thought of as disgusting perverts before. "You're a little... young, to be in that buisness." He said weakly after a while. "Then again, some people like it that way. That was, quite honestly, not at all what I had in mind. Chalk it up to cultural differences." Still, Simon seemed to expect something from him. Tish shook his head. "I don't swing that way. I don't... hah... swing at all, when it comes to this. Sorry to disappoint, kid." That was... broadly true, at the moment. Sometimes, information from others would cost more than just money or a small errand. Mostly, when that happened, Tish would close his eyes and think about something else. That hadn't happened in a while, though. Well, he wasn't getting any younger after all, and some people had told him that he looked older than thirty these days. A life of being badly fed, badly treated and addicted to a couple unhealthy things like painkillers and cigarettes could take their toll on someone. |

Simon shrugged, smiling away as he laid back onto the table. "Well anytime you want a casual fling, the offers there. I gotta make some supplemental income too, after all, so long as I'm making the pitch, I wouldn't mind." That was certainly true, Simon didn't mind having sex with someone when he himself made the offer, but when someone else asks, Simon isn't so interested. Especially since those people tend not to take 'no' for an answer, saying that Simon's sold out his body before, so why not now? And really, Simon couldn't answer that question. He didn't mind having sex with anyone at all, regardless, but he preferred to be the one asking, not the one getting asked. Somehow being asked to have sex by somebody else ticks him off, unless he likes the other person to some strange degree. "Ah well, might as well get off this table. Doc' might use second and third hand stuff, but it works regardless. Lessee.." Carefully leveraging himself off the table, Simon puts his weight onto his feet, finding himself a little shaky. Taking the iv out of his arm and carefully swabbing the wound clean with a nearby disinfecting swab, Simon carefully puts his weight into standing, finding himself a little light-headed. "Huh, guess I'll need to eat something first. I certainly don't feel like staying hooked up to that table for much longer." |

"Well, don't look at me like that, I sure as hell won't taste good." Tish shrugged, offering an arm to help Simon steady himself. He didn't particularly care wether the boy took it or not, but if he lost his balance and brained himself on the table, it might look bad for whatever secret society he was working for. They'd looked like serious people, and made Tish nervous. Besides the man who could read his fucking mind, that is. Actually, now that he was thinking about it, it had been a while since his last meal. Getting some sustenance would be a good idea. He gathered his gear, which had been carelessly tossed down on a nearby table (except for his gun... he'd have to get that back from a man who was standing guard outside) and put his tired old leather jacket back on. "Tell you what... I'm off to the Grill. You know the place? It's on third avenue. Not a bad place if you avoid their fish dishes. You can come along if you like." He left it at that. It was as much of an invitation as Simon was going to get. Tish didn't really dislike the boy, honestly. He'd just... hadn't ever kept anyone close enough to him to become friends. The last time he'd tried friends hadn't exactly ended on a positive note... The firesoul stopped at the door and glanced back at Simon, waiting for an answer. Seeing that the kid had been reduced to looting a burned bar and offering sex for money, he doubted Simon could afford to pay for his meal... Not that Tish himself had much money to spare. |

Simon blew a few stray strands of hair out of his eyes, looking a little miffed. "I'm hungry, not a cannibal you fucktard. I only eat what's edible, and you ain't it. I prefer to eat stationary food anyway." He levered himself carefully off of the table, trying for a few steps unassisted, then decided that some help would be better than face-planting himself onto the floor. So Simon grudgingly accepted Tish's outstretched arm, knowing that until he got his sense of balance back from the painkillers, he'd need that extra arm to lean on. "You're warmer than I'd expected, considering you smoke. Most people I've met who smoke are almost cool to the touch. Nice change of pace.." Simon shut up as they walked out of the medical shack, noting that the guard with Tish's gun gave resistance to giving the gun back. Probably wanted to keep a better gun for himself. So Simon merely cleared his throat and looked pointedly at the guard, who quickly blanched at Simon's look. Though a Turtlesoul, obviously there was something about Simon that made the guard fear the slightly unbalanced young man. What that was could be anybody's guess, but the guard quickly handed the gun back to Tish, and kept his gaze nervously away from Simon. Simon simply shrugged. "Well, you wanted your gun back, and just as you've got your secrets, I've got some skeletons in my own closet that they hear about. Nothing dark or sinister, just enough to make them sweat. I'm one of Cerberus." That comment alone would enough to bring 3 corps of infantry to an immediate stop. Cerberus. An underground organization that specializes in the trafficking of information, legal or illegal transportation, and the frequent assassination of corrupt people in a variety of different businesses, from the government itself, to the marketplace supervisor who won't pay for a worker's benefits without getting sex first. Cerberus isn't choosy about who they dig up dirt on, or shovel dirt onto, so it's never a good idea to be on their bad side. So for Simon to be in Cerberus, and to tell Tish so... That either spells good fortune for Tish, or his death. Simon simply smiles. "I just wanted to see the look on your face, you should see it. Seriously, I am a member of Cerberus, which is why that guard back there gave your gun back so readily when I looked at him. He knows I could have him killed for doing something like that. As to the Grill, I prefer the Egg. They serve some great burritos on the cheap, if you don't mind the occasional bit of extra protein in it." "And... Don't worry about money. Cerberus doesn't pay much, but I earn more than enough for myself. I can't have much of a romantic life in Cerberus though, which is why I worked at that bar. It's damn near the only way I can get any sex without contracting all the diseases this world has to offer." |

A cold chill went down Tish's spine. Cerberus. Of all the underground gangs and criminal groups this kid could've been from, it HAD to be the absolute worse of them. He managed to keep his composure, but there was no way he could've avoided to twitch every time Simon mentionned the name. He was a regular, no way he could know about how Goddamn complex politics were for someone like Tish who wasn't entirely human. Cerberus? Of course he'd heard of them! No streetear worth over a penny ignored the existance of the organization, not if they wanted to live. Tish had mercifully managed to stay under the radar, well, right until this kid had come up and his own damn conscience had kept him from letting Simon die. They were bound to take an interest, if the kid mentionned anything to them, and he most certainly would. Simon looked like the kind of guy who couldn't keep his damn mouth shut. At least he couldn't tell Tish was a firesoul. Humans couldn't spot the weird two-toned hair unless he actually dyed it that way, or the blazing orange eyes with a reptilian vertically slit pupil, or all the other subtle signs, really. They might be able to see his firesoul mark, which took the form of a lizard crawling on his stomach, but it looked exactly like a regular tattoo. Cerberus... the three-headed dog. One of them, he was fairly certain about, was a reference to a guy who called himself Fenrir. An icesoul of great power who absolutely hated anything that wasn't in the watersoul families. Firesouls? They were kill-on-sight. Fenrir ruled over half of the Goddamn continent. Had he known about the guy ten years ago, Tish wouldn't have bothered to come up here. "I wouldn't brag about that if I was you." Tish warned with a strangely distant voice. "They're not keen on outsiders knowing too much about them. You should know." He was stuck now, unfortunately. If he turned and ran, that'd be too suspicious and Simon could get him killed. With his instincts screaming to skip town, not even bothering about getting his stuff back from his home, Tish followed Simon to the Egg. "Guess I can do with that. It's not like I've never eaten bugs before." He wisely chose not to comment on the last bit. People with an over-active sexual life baffled him. It wasn't that he hated sex, but he couldn't see why he had to base his entire life on it. |

Simon watched with a delighted glee at Tish's expression as it changed. "Spoilsport, even if I told you about them, it's not exactly as if anyone else could prove it, just the ramblings of a crazy guy with no life as far as they're concerned. And those that do believe it when I say I'm with them...," Simon was clearly giving Tish a break, calling Cerberus as merely them, "...well they'd either leave me alone because of fear, or they'd kill me later on. Chances are I'll die either way, whether by the hands of someone with a bone to pick, and seeing as I'm human, I wouldn't exactly be able to stop most people anyway, least not without help like you rendered a while back." As they neared the restaurant, Simon put a hand on the small of Tish's back, whispering fiercely in his ear, his lips almost touching Tish's ear. "Don't fight it idiot, the people here prefer their clients to be couples, so you'll just have to deal with the contact for now. I'm not going to vamp you, they just give better food and better prices for couples than for singles. If you want to get ripped off then feel free to act like an idiot, otherwise, deal with it, and we'll get more to eat this way." Pulling back from Tish's ear and licking his lips as if he had nibbled on Tish's earlobe, Simon grabs one of Tish's hands and leads him to the receptions. "Table for two, I believe?" The receptionist was a normal human. "Just for my benefit, which one of you is..?" Simon smiled, "He thinks he's wearing the pants of the family, but the uke is really the one in control. He can still dream though, I'll make sure of that." The receptionist actually blushed from the comment, liking such candidness, but still unused to it. "Very well, we'll get you the Victor suite, that should afford you two some privacy, should you wish it. Your waiter, or waitress should you prefer, should be waiting for you. Please follow me..." Simon didn't let go of Tish's hand, pulling him along until Tish finally got over being forced to hold hands and act like a boyfriend or couple with Simon. When they finally reached their table, the receptionist finally returned to the front desk, and the waiter would have waited around to see if they wanted anything to drink, but Simon sat down provocatively in the booth seat, and pulled Tish down to him, looking about ready to start nibbling on Tish's neck, which caused the waiter to flee quickly, giving them privacy. "Good, now that they're both gone, you can sit under your own power now." Releasing Tish to his own devices, Simon scooted over so that Tish could sit down, but stayed close enough to Tish that if anyone else came up to take their orders, he could quickly, and quite quickly too, start fondling Tish to keep up the act of being a couple. "Don't be so stiff, we need to act the part, you think I normally do this with a random stranger? Believe, it's my hunger alone driving me to such lengths to get a decently priced meal. You're good looking and all, but I don't have sex with a stranger without getting paid by them first. So what'll you have on this menu? If you can get it from the markets within 25 miles of here, this place can make it for you, from simple eggs and pancakes, to the greatest quality dishes of the upper crust." |

Tish shook his head slowly, obviously unimpressed by Simon's antics. "Leave it to an amateur to mess it up..." He sighed. "No offense, but you looked like a prostitute out there, all show ang giggles." Well... that kind of made sense, following the kid's earlier comment. Tish wasn't surprised about this, Simon looked, what, nineteen? Age didn't mean much, come to think of it. Experience counted for a lot more. Where was he at nineteen? Right... Tish looked up over his menu. "Don't give me that look, boy. I'm, as you've noticed earlier, a drug addict, I've seen my share of dick out there. Real couples stay close, but they don't put on a damn show in front of everyone for the fun of it." He shrugged, then added on, as an after-thought, "...I appreciate you making me the dom, though. Not that I look like I could top anyone these days." Something attracted his eye on the menu. "They have fishhead soup here? I think I know what I won't be eating tonight... Living in the street doesn't make you difficult, but there are God damned limits." A few pages further showed something more in line with his tastes, though. Well, it was made with chicken rather than with goat meat, but the picture still looked very much like the kind of food he had back before his life went down the drain. Nostalgia food was the best food you could get, and it was affordable too. |
