Alchino sighs, eyes half lidded as he smiles at the general, as he chuckles. " Well don't look at me...I can't fly...I can't drive," murmurs Alchino as he grins, " Which in my case is probably a good thing...the one time I tried to drive a car...I crashed it into a lake..."

Alchino grins as he hears about the tailer and hears the thing about planes as a smirk graces his lips as he tilts his head in thought for a silent moment. " I'm known to be strange," murmurs Alchino, sighing as he stretches as he grins. " Ah the plans...they mostly involve trying to loose my assassins...at all costs..." And this is where Alchino went off on his elaborate plan that involved, planes, boats and at one point something about camels and sled dogs?

***

Alchino groans, nudging Erik in the side, eyes half lidded, dressed in a suit as his hair falls into his eyes. " Shut up, " snaps Alchino, looking around. " Foreigners speaking or cursing in Japanese always draw attention...and we do not want to draw attention to ourselves." Alchino sighs, shaking his head as he sighs, making a face as he rubs his head. " It took three months because we dealt with a crashed plane...you pissed off the Russian government with your lack of control...you moved away from MY plan...we'd have been here alot sooner...but I can't much do anything about that now."

Alchino sighs, looking a bit tanner now, hair falling into his face as he groans. They'd been on the cruise for nearly 2 weeks...amazingly there had been no assasination attempts...but he'd been sea sick the whole time, staying in the cabin almost the whole time other then once in a while when he was feeling well enough to get up and go eat. " Once I get home I am taking a good bathe," murmurs Alchino, groaning as he rubs his forehead again, feeling ill. " I just hope I don't puke again..."

***

Meanwhile Mashihiro, Mohiro was out on a visit to his new perspective bride. His assassins had told him that they had killed Alchino, regretfully. He trusted them so he was out, trying to find a new person to be his bride. Of course he hoped that Alchino wasn't dead, but for all he knew his assassins could have been lying to him for forever and the other yakuza heir could have been dead for years now.

***

And while the ferry pulled in too dock, a black Ford Mustang was not far away, a smile painting the lips of the person sitting in the vehicle. Who was this figure? None other then Alchino's beloved mother, come to make certain her child was safe.

Erik remained grudgingly quiet for a few minutes with Alchino resting against him. It figured that the one mode of transport that Erik liked the least, but didn't dread, was the one that Alchino had a problem with. Erik had dealt with quite a few clients that got seasick, and usually Erik would pop a few pills into the clients drink, or knock them unconscious with his fist, so they could sleep the overseas journey off in relative safety, without puking that much. Erik couldn't exactly do that with his current client though, seeing as how Alchino was the heir to a yakuza gang. There are ways you could make transporting a diplomat shut up during transport that wouldn't work on a yakuza heir after all.

Hell, the memory of actually knocking a certain pompous diplomat from Nigeria out with a few bottles of wine and a child's toy mallet brought a smile to his face, more because the child had squealed in childish laughter at the sound the diplomat made as he hit the table. Fortunately nobody had been looking his way when Erik clubbed the man..

Patting Alchino's shoulder, "Don't worry kid, you'll be onshore soon, so save the puking when you get concrete, or whatever the road is made of here, underneath your feet. Sure you're okay in that suit? I still say you look better in a kimino, though maybe that's because that's what you wore when I transported you the first time."

Smiling again, Erik looks down at Alchino nudging himself into Erik's suit, the same one he'd worn when Erik first took Alchino into his car. It was the only suit Erik had, and he only wore it on the first day of a job, or when he felt an unreasonable desire to look good for others.

"Hey, don't get smart with me kid! I can't be blamed for those rebels shooting the pilot, and you saw how they treated our escort as we were brought back into Moscow, it took until we were three city blocks from the capital building in Moscow before the rebels would bugger off!" Much to others chagrin, Erik often found pleasure and delight in tormenting politicians with their inadequacies, though it too often hampered Alchino's efforts to get home in one piece. That was another reason why Erik wouldn't have made it as a mercenary, he mouthed off too much to those around him.

He didn't do that with Alchino though, at least not to such an extreme. Erik usually just called Alchino 'kid' or 'sport' or something like that. Only once did Erik rise to a higher insult than that, when Alchino puked on Erik's shoes when they hit the first swell one the tugboats got the cruise ship into the river where the big ship could maneuver itself out to see. And that time he only rose to calling Alchino 'little mikey', which Erik could never adequately explain, even to himself, why that particular name popped into his head as to what to call Alchino for puking on his shoes.

"Haah... At least we'll be- Hold on Alchino, I got someone watching our boat from the port. We might have to execute plan B..." That would normally bring a groan from Alchino, or any client who associated with Erik for this long, as usually 'Plan B' called for quite a bit of explosives, and more than a little bit of a police ruckus. Fortunately, Alchino had forced Erik to swear that his next 'plan B', if it happened, would be something less spectacular. So Erik said that if something happened in port, he'd only put the two of them in a lifeboat and hope for the best.

Getting a pair of binoculars, fortunately civilian issue ones that wouldn't attract attention, Erik looked at the vehicle in question. The windows were largely grayed out, as if someone had put shading all along them, but he could just make out a figure in the car... Just one figure though, which confused Erik. "Hey, Alchino? Do you know of any women who would come to meet you, on their own, in a non-descript black car, a Mustang by the looks of it, with shaded windows? I can't see through the windows that well but..."

" I promised I wouldn't puke on your precious shoes...I didn't promise anything else," mutters Alchino, eyes half lidded as he groans, sighing as he shakes his head. " Anyway, there isn't anything to come up, I'd just be heeving and I doubt that'd be a nice sight..."

Alchino sighs, eyes half lidded as he raises an eyebrow a strange expression on his face. " I'll be bloody twenty in a week you yankee...I'm no kid,"mutters Alchino, sighing as he looks down at the suit an expression of obvious disgust on his face. " I hate suits..." Alchino tilts his head, chuckling as he shakes his head for a silent moment. " Yes the streets are concrete, just like the USA...and I do look better in a kimono...you'd just look ridiculous..."

" Oh...I am smart," murmurs Alchino, raising an eyebrow as he smirks. " Don't forget who it was that talked the Russians into getting rid of us..." Alchino smirks, thinking of that as he giggles, eyes half lidded. " US BIG TROUBLE...YOU NO WANT...TERRORIST WITH BOMB AFTER US...GO BOOM!" Alchino giggles, blinking as he groans as he hears what Erik says. " Oh joy...no fireworks this time...please...that will make me puke..."

Alchino blinks at Erik's words as he grabs the binoculars as he smirks, raising an eyebrow. " Oh, I can assure you that she isn't entirely alone," murmurs Alchino, stretching as his hair falls into his eyes. " That happens to be one of the vehicles of the clan...and my mothers driving it...no worries...we'll be safe for now...though I hope she'll still recognize me...I haven't seen her in nearly 10 years..."

***

A smile plays at the womans lips, eyes half lidded as she sits in the car, black hair falling into her eyes as she sighs. " Finally after so long my beloved son comes home," she murmurs, shifting in the car as she opens up the door, stepping out to reveal a dark haired woman, eyes sharp and black with tanned skin. She was dressed in a business suit, the heels giving her a few inches of height as she leans against the car. A smirk was set on her red painted lips. This was Asune Kuriko, the current head of the Kuriko Yakuza and Alchino's beloved mother.

Erik smiled, his eyes dancing in delight at the 'bomb go boom' part of Alchino's recital. "Ah yes, bombs do go boom, don't they? I always liked explosives, but I never liked someone ordering me how to set them up when I already knew how to do it myself. Probably why I didn't make it in the military, never did take too well to being ordered around.." Taking his eyes from the binoculars to look down at Alchino, Erik pats Alchino's head. "I wouldn't be caught dead in a kimino, reminds me too much of a floral print dress my sister's once tried to pin on me."

That was the first time Erik had said anything about his family in the months that he and Alchino had been working to get to Japan, and Erik obviously wasn't the type to share his family history. "She died in Iraq during an attack on her convoy in Baghdad, she'd just given one of the children nearby a bottle of water, and her truck got too close to a landmine that they hadn't detected in the road. Always told her to check the electronics in your ride to make sure it works properly." That would explain why he didn't mind sharing about his sister, she was already dead.

Shrugging, Erik put the binoculars away, gently peeling Alchino from his suit. "Hey hey, we're about ready to dock now, so pull yourself together. If that's your mother, I'm not going to have her thinking that I caused you to get sick. I'm pretty sure that your being seasick isn't much of a problem to your future territory, but I'd rather not see your first moments with your mother be mixed with a vomit bag."

Looking around for anymore assassins, for a moment Erik thought he saw one, but someone else, presumably someone from Alchino's future gang, knocked the person out without anyone noticing, thus no peace was disrupted. That brought a frown to Erik's face, since he always preferred to cause chaos, at least when he wasn't in a car. That was probably why he only got jobs for driving clients, since the only fancy things he could do then was drive as creatively as possible in order to save his clients. While having a car like Robo-Cop was cool, it just wasn't possible at this point in time, otherwise Erik would have bought such a vehicle himself.

" Yes, bombs go boom and I don't like them," mutters Alchino, eyes half lidded as he groans, shaking his head as he sighs. " But then again anyone in Japan is much fond of bombs of any sort now adays...fireworks though are fun...on occasion." Alchino chuckles, eyes half lidded as a smile pulls at his lips. " I've noticed that about you...you don't much listen to others very well...you do what you want...which almost got us killed in South Korea when you smarted off to my Auntie..."

Alchino blinks, listening to Erik's tale as a smile pulls at his lips, tilting his head a bit in silent thought. " And here I've been traveling with you for 3 months and now's the first time you've told me really anything about your family," murmurs Alchino as he sighs as a pout plays at his lips. " I have 5 Aunties...3 Uncles...a bunch of cousins...no siblings...that I'm aware of...and a few of the clan members are like brothers to me...a crazy fiancee...who I hope at this point believes I'm dead..." Alchino chuckles, eyes half lidded as he stands up straight as the ferry docks.

" Well if I do vomit, oh well...mama knows ships make me sick," murmurs Alchino as a smile plays at his lips. " They make her sick as well...we like to fly...but ships...are not our bodies friends..." Alchino stretches, straightening his suit as he sighs. " I wonder if mama's got any good pain meds at home...I need something...my head hurts...alot..."

Alchino smiles as they are told they are allowed to get off the ferry as he moves to get off, eyes half lidded as he tilts his head a bit in thought. It had been so long since he'd seen his mother, he'd been 9 at the time, and had been dressed in a long raincoat the last time he'd seen her. It had been the ne time she'd visited them in the United States...five years later everything had changed when his father was killed. Now he was finally back home, but would anyone even remember him.

The yakuza member Erik had seen was one of those "brothers" that Alchino had mentioned in passing. There were two main one's he often spoke of, a pair of twins a few years older then him that his mother had taken in when he was on a few months old. The one Erik had spotted was Kire and where Kire went his elder twin Inesi was sure to be close by.

Erik shrugs, not wanting to get too deep into a discussion about his family history. "I don't really see the need to talk about my family in this business. Transporting people specifically isn't as dangerous as being a full-blooded mercenary, but people would still try to find out about my family to make me give up a client that I might be transporting around. You learn to avoid talking about your own family after a while, if you want them to remain safe."

Erik looked at the car as it pulled around to the docks, somewhat relieved and worried at the same time that Alchino's family can cause police to look the other way when they want something to get through customs without being inspected. That Alchino's family has such power is encouraging, since it also meant that he'd not need to worry as much about Alchino getting harmed anymore. The thing that worried Erik about Alchino's family ran along the same lines, the family had a lot of political power.

Still, as far as greetings went, this wasn't looking too bad. The police obviously weren't being forced at gunpoint to let Alchino get through the port without being inspected, which meant that the gang didn't practice the usual ham-handedness that other gangs were known to use. That also meant that the police were also on the gangs payroll, or at least enough of the police force was under the future Alchino gang to make police activity less of a concern.

So Erik escorted Alchino through the landing ramps, being sure not to get separated from Alchino, which Erik was pretty sure some of the police and gang members would still try to do. Erik made it plain though that he wasn't about to be separated, mainly by holding his 'guitar bag' close to himself and Alchino, letting Alchino's mother know that while Erik acknowledged that she was the one who Erik was taking Alchino to, that Erik wasn't about to let Alchino out of his grasp until he was sure Alchino was completely safe again.

A reaction born out of months of having to keep Alchino safe, and perhaps unnecessary, or even excessive, given that anyone who hurt Alchino would answer to his mother. Yet a protectiveness nonetheless that Erik was clearly going to enforce strictly until Erik was sure that his client was safely transported. Erik also watched as his car was finally set upon its wheels into the port, and discreetly pressed a button on his guitar bag, causing the car's alarm to beep twice, assuring Erik that nobody had messed with the car. Oh Erik was sure there would be a few bumps and scratches on it, but nobody had tried to break into the car.

Upon getting through customs without incident, Erik put himself to the side and slightly between Alchino and the rest of the gang, though not between Alchino and his mother. Erik was protective, not stupid. He knew that the woman was the one who Alchino was being delivered to ultimately, so she could approach freely, but none of the other guards.

To make sure this point was made clear, Erik placed a hand on a big, red, shiny button of his guitar bag, and since the gang obviously would know that a weapon was concealed, they knew that Erik wouldn't hesitate to open fire if anyone else tried to get close. "Mam, I'm sure you know my client, so you can approach to see to the clients safety. Later, once we're secure, we can discuss payment, but for now, I hope you don't mind how long it took to get your son back into your arms. I'm not much when it comes to being subtle, as your son will be able to tell you."

" I can understand that," murmurs Alchino, eyes half lidded as he sighs softly. " When I was a kid, whereever I went with my mama I'd have to stay quiet. At the time alot of the clan didn't trust her much...she was young...she inherited the clan when she was only 17...I was born when she was 19..."

Alchino tilts his head, eyes half lidded as he looks around, a smile playing at his lips as even after all these he recognized people. " It seems even after all these long years...mama still has the same old friends," murmurs Alchino as he stretches, eyes half lidded. " It's nice to be back on land again..."

Alchino smiles, eyes half lidded as he see's his mother, sighing at Erik's actions as he pokes the other in the side. " Stop that," hisses Alchino. " Some of these people may be old friends...but if you go actting like a nitwit they won't hesitate to arrest you..." Alchino sighs, eyes half lidded as he relaxes as a smile plays at his lips.
" You're almost a bit too protective...I'm your client I get that...but hell..." Alchino giggles, eyes half lidded as he sighs a strange expression on his face. " You'd make someone an awesome lover..."

Asune sighs, the mothers eyes half lidded as she smiles as they reach her, looking at Kire and Inesi who had nearly run forward to hug Alchino until she'd glanced at them and they'd paused. She chuckles at what Erik says as Alchino giggles. A smile plays a bit at Kire's lips, the younger twin raising an eyebrow as he moves to lean against Asune's car.

" First off...even my clan doesn't call me mam...the names Asune...Asune Kuriko," states Asune as she tilts her head, looking at Alchino as she chuckles softly as Alchino pouts. " My, my...I never thought I'd see the day that'd you'd be wearing a suit Alchino..." Alchino sighs, making a face as he shakes his head as Inesi just chuckles softly to himself. " As for how long it took and subtly...I can tell myself how subtle you are...I pray you can learn some while here...it will lengthen your life span and usefulness if you aren't doing something nuts..." Alchino just rolls his eyes as Asune sighs, moving toward her car as she tilts her head. " As for your payment...once we get back home that can be discussed...for now lets get back home..."

" And straight to the point she goes," mumbles Alchino as he grins as Asune tilts her head, touching a finger to her lips in thought.
" Mom...you're supposed to be taking me into the clans custody to protect me..."

" Of course, of course...but there's no troubles right now," murmurs Asune, grinning as she tilts her head as she looks toward Erik. " Do you wish to put your car into storage or drive it too our home? If you wish to store it we have a storage lot nearby...and once you drop it off you and Alchino could drive with us...if you wish to drive to our house Kire or Inesi will have to accompany you...Alchino doesn't know the way..."

Erik just shrugged, taking the mild rebukes without getting riled up. He's dealt with this sort of thing, so it doesn't bother him so long as the person is speaking in a sane manner. "If you say so ma-, Madame Asuke." Erik immediately blushes beet red when Alchino says he'd make someone an awesome lover, NOT the sort of compliment he expects from anyone. He ended up not hearing the rest of the conversation as he struggles to bring his physical reactions under control, and doesn't tune back in until his car is mentioned. "Dinged and banged as it is by the ride over, I'd rather drive it than sit in the backseat of someone elses car. I'll drive with either on of them, so long as they don't touch anything in my car."

Obviously Erik is quite possessive of his car, much like any other typical guy who put a lot of time and effort into their own vehicles. Then again, being a Mercedes Benz also makes Erik that much more careful with how he drives it, as well as all the different modifications he put into it. So if repairs had to be done, he couldn't just take the car back to the factory and ask them to fix it. He'd have to go to Siberia where he initially got the car modified by some rebels there...

Shaking himself back to the present, "Madame Asuke, you're going to have to live with me calling you Madame. I've always called people 'mam', 'madame', 'sir', 'mister', and whatever else when I'm on the job. Until I stop thinking of you as another potential client, I'll continue to call you 'mam' or 'madame'. It's a business practice I've kept up with, that's a hard habit to break. Sorry if that irks you, but that's how it is. Helps me to get more work in the future, being polite and all."

Rolling his eyes, "I'm only obvious when I'm impatient, which I've been most of this trip. Usually a job lasts no more than 3 days tops before I can hand off my client. This job, however, has lasted more than half a year for me to complete. I never take on jobs that would last more than a week for transporting people, otherwise I get stir crazy. Too much time trying to keep the same person safe gets on my nerves, not that I'm complaining about your son. He's a lot more patient than he needs to be sometimes, but that's not a bad thing. He'd surely make a good leader, with enough time and training."

Asune smiles, eyes half lidded as she sighs, stretching a bit as Alchino giggles. " Well, if you have to call me by some title then it's Lady Asune," murmurs Asune as she moves toward her car as Kire moves to stand somewhat near Erik's car, looking at it with a strange expression. " Ah it seems Alchino's learned to speak his mind..." Alchino grins as Asune sighs, stretching as she smiles toward everyone. "

"I will meet you at home...Kire make certain you give the yankee good directions...and as for Alchino's leadership skills...he was able to get you out of Russian territory...and kept his Auntie from killing you for your rudeness...that speaks in and of itself of his skills...and as for the job lasting so long...well from what I understood Alchino's plan would have had you home alot sooner..." states Asune as Alchino groans and Kire blinks, shaking his head as Asune giggles as she gets into her car, Inesi quickly getting inside as well.

" She's such a child," mutters Alchino, shaking his head as he grins a bit too himself. " Though given she is only 38...only 18 years older then me." Alchino shakes his head again, moving toward the car as he looks toward Erik. " You turned an interesting color...I meant what I said..." Kire grins, tilting his head as he pale hair falls into his eyes. " Are you going to stand there grinning like an idiot Kire or you going to actually introduce yourself?"

" Oh...well I'm Kire Zakama...the younger twin of Inesi," murmurs Kire, fidgetting as he smiles shyly, eyes half lidded. " I'm 23, known little Chino there since he was born...he's like a little brother to Inesi and me...thank you for protecting him all these years...and I apologize for Lady Asune's rudeness...she's...never dealt the best with foreigners."

" You can say that again," mutters Alchino, shaking his head as he notices a bag Kire's holding. " What you got there ?" Kire smiles, eyes half lidded as Alchino tilts his head. " What is it?"

" A change of clothes...I thought you'd want to get into something more...you," mumbles Kire as Alchino grins as he tilts his head. " I was wondering if he went prancing around in kimono's in America?"
Alchino blinks, giggling as he tilts his head for a moment as Kire looks at Erik.

Erik, ever patient, once he sets his mind to it that is, simply shrugs away the continued rebukes. Normally he'd deck someone for making him blush for saying what Alchino said, but that aside, Erik did actually have a thing for Alchino, but he kept an irongrip on his reactions, though he couldn't keep from blushing. "Yeah yeah, I don't feel offended by being called a 'yankee', since I was born in New York. Don't know much 'bout it though, I moved with my family when I was only 2 years old, so being a yankee sticks oddly enough."

"A sub-machine gun if you must know." Apparently, Erik had thought that someone had been asking him what he had in his bag, and since he was walking with the yakuza at this point, and no longer within earshot of police, he figured that it was safe to tell what kind of weaponry he was carrying. Though when Kire said that the bag he carried had clothes 'more you', meaning Alchino, Erik made a mental note to himself to pay more attention to those conversations around him, he'd gotten too unguarded at a moment he shouldn't have been.

"Ah well, soon as you get in Kire, we can get going, I'm certainly not interested in remaining in port while other people here besides me are hungry. Hop in." Erik got his remote out and beeped his car alarm, and smiled as the car drove itself right up next to Erik. Erik knew quite well how rare such a program was in a car, usually being able to self-drive was the prerequisite of either NASA Mars rovers, or otherwise for military vehicles. "What, a guy's gotta have a few toys at his disposal when transporting people, right? Wish this was a real night rider though... Man that was a good show."

Getting into the drivers seat and opening the back-right passenger door for Kire, Erik stared at Kire until he got the message that Erik wasn't about to let him into the front seat with him. When Kire did take a seat in the back, Erik promptly rolled up the bulletproof glass separating the drivers and passenger cabin in the Mercedes. Picking up the microphone, "I hope you don't mind my using the speakerphone system, since while I doubt you mean me any harm, let's just say I'm suspicious of those people who are in my car who aren't my clients. Where to?"

" She calls any foreigner a yankee," mutters Alchino, sighing as he tilts his head, eyes half lidded as he sighs. " It a bad habit of hers..." Alchino chuckles softly as he smiles as he takes the back from Kire.
" Of course her experiences with foreigners is rather limited...her first real experience being with my father...and that didn't end well...he almost got himself killed that day by angry yakuza members..." Alchino giggles, smiling as he sighs as he tilts his head.

Kire blinks as he hears about the sub-machine gun as he groans, just shaking his head. " Anything else illegal?" mutters Kire as Alchino giggles as he looks in the bag, finding a cute girly outfit as he smiles happily. " I'm glad you like it Alchino...seeing you in a suit is just bizarre...and I'm sure your protector there would rather see you be all cute then all professional..." Alchino blinks, blushing as Kire just grins as he sighs softly. " I'm ready to go whenever you are..." Kire blinks as he see's the car move as he chuckles slightly.

" Well...even Lady Asune doesn't have a car that fancy..." mutters Kire as Alchino smiles, moving to get into the front seat as Kire pouts as he's delegated to the back as Alchino starts to strip out of his suit " I don't mind where I sit and as for the trust thing...I don't know you and you don't know me so it's understandable. I'm in a hurry to get home myself...I have someone I need to take care of...take the road until you reach the Mirine Shop on the left hand side...then take a left..."

The yakuza heir rightly didn't give a damn if there were other people in the car, he wanted out of that suit. So his suit jacket ended up unceremoniously n the floor, and he soon managed to wiggle out of the pants and his boots, leaving him dressed in a loose sleeve-less top and some ruffly underpants as he moves to pull on the outfit Kire had brought for him.

The outfit consisted of a pair of black leggings, a thigh length brocade spagetti-strap dress, a pair of cute black, high heeled boots and an ankle length silk jacket with fur on the collar and edges of the sleeves. Alchino grins, happily removing his top and pulling the leggings on and getting the dress on and finally the boots and the jacket as he grins happily. " So Erik...how do I look now?" murmurs Alchino as he tilts his head, grinning. " Sexy enough for you?"

Erik nodded at the directions, though he grew worried about the fact that the Yakuza lady didn't have a car 'as fancy as this'. Erik was quite conscientious about his car, and the thought that someone might want his car themselves didn't appeal itself to him. "I'll make sure to keep my car locked tight then..." Not that Erik thought that the woman would actually try to take his car, but better safe then sorry. He took good care of his car, and some of the modifications were... non-standard to say the least. If it weren't for the need to project the worst case scenarios into the design of his car when transporting whatever needed moving, Erik wouldn't have gotten close to receiving even an eighth of the upgrades he'd needed for his job.

"Fine fine, just tell me when the shop is in view Kire, I can speak Japanese, but I can't read it, so I won't know any of these turns unless they're in English." Erik focused in driving, glad the lanes are still plenty wide this close to the port. Erik could hear the rustling of clothes being changed behind him in the passenger seat, but he wasn't about to take his eyes off the road while in a new city he knew nothing about in terms of the political lay of the land. So when Alchino asked him about his dress, Erik grew slightly testy. "Don't distract me right now Alchino, I'm trying to make sure I don't miss anything. Your family may control this whole area, but I've learned that every organization, no matter how secure, has plenty of people who have no problems selling out their own for profit. Don't take my attention away from driving to comment on your new clothes."

A small beeping on the comm-line in his car sounded, and it took only a moment for Erik to see that Alchino's mother had gotten the number for his car. He didn't keep the number a secret, and there wouldn't be many mobile phone numbers that were connected to a Mercedes in Japan at this point. So picking up the phone, Erik switched on the phone line that Alchino's mother had called on. "You want to talk to me, Alchino, or Kire? I'll connect you to them if you wish to speak with them privately Madame Asune."

" You needn't worry about your precious car...no one would take it," mutters Kire as he sighs, laughing softly as he sighs. " I doubt Lady Asune could drive it...she can barely drive that mustang of hers..." Alchino giggles, eyes half lidded as Kire sighs to himself. " Though as far as I know Chino there can't even drive..." Alchino shrugs, eyes half lidded as Kire tilts his head in thought for a silent moment.
" My bro can drive...but the only thing he'll drive is the mustang or more commonly his cycle...I don't drive..."

" He can't drive," murmurs Alchino as a smirk plays at his lips as Kire pouts. " His lover won't let him after he tried to drive into a lake once..." Kire blushes, sighing as he tilts his head as Alchino sighs softly, eyes half-lidded.

Alchino sighs, pouting as he rolls his eyes, shaking his head as he tilts his head to the side. " See what I must deal with Kire?" groans Alchino as a smirk plays at his lips. " He's been like this the WHOLE trip...no fun at all...in more ways then one...hell most guys would be falling overthemselves to see me in this...and he gets all snippy with me...and here I thought he'd make a good lover...but he won't even compliment me on my new clothes..." All that Kire's resposne consists of his a fit of loud laughter in the back of the car as Alchino giggles softly to himself.

" Ah...go straight...until you see a large gate," gasps out Kire as he breaks back into a fit of laughter. " Then someone should open it up for you..."

" I wish to speak with you Erik," states Asune, sighing as she holds her phone, sitting in a chair in her house as she blinks, being able to hear the laugher as she raises an eyebrow. " Did Alchino put Kire into a laughing fit...or did he get hold of more pot?" Asune shakes her head, sighing as she smiles a bit. " Nevermind...how does $10 million sound to you for your services...and I'll pay for any repairs your vehicle may need...and anything else you may need while you're here..."

Erik rolled his eyes. "A mustang is like a rhino, powerful, but not easily controlled on the best of days unless you can go fast enough. A Mercedes Benz on the other hand, thank you very much, is like a panther. Sleek, smooth, and able to maneuver with ease at any speeds, on anything except the rockiest terrain." Erik concentrated on the directions then, recognizing a few characters of the Japanese written language as he sees them, his memory of the language slowly filtering back. He still can't read Japanese at all, but at least he can recognize the symbols telling whether the place is an eatery or clothing shop. Course you could always just look at the story below the writing to knew what the store is much more easily, but hey..

When Erik heard Asune's question, Erik was halfway tempted to say yes to both answers, but didn't want to give any false impressions. "Alchino made Kire laugh, and I wouldn't let any drugs in my vehicle, that'd be a real quick way to lose my license to drive an undercover vehicle." Erik looked into the backseat, where Alchino sat sulking a little, then he put his eyes back to the road. "Mam, if I were in any other situation at the moment, I'd swear that price tag was meant as a bribe. As it is, that amount would just about cover the time spent transporting Alchino all the way here. As far as my continued services..."

Erik again looked into the backseat, thankful that nobody back there could hear the conversation, a bit of concern is seen momentarily in Erik's eyes, then quickly vanishes. "I'll leave that up to Alchino. I've never been interested in working for one particular employer for any length of time, and I'm leery of working for anyone long term, no insult intended. I don't like to be seen as favoring one client or group, and this smacks of just the sort of thing I've been trying to avoid. Long term association with one group, person, or country for too long."

Sighing into the phoneline, Erik doesn't say anything, just looks back at Alchino in the backseat, not responding for a moment. "...I'll ask him as soon as we're safely back at your residence. I've never wanted to work for the same person for any length of time, and I'm not about to make a mistake I'll regret. I'll let Alchino decide for himself whether he'd feel safer with me around." With that Erik hangs up the phone and continues driving. While Alchino wouldn't have known what Erik had been talking about, Erik knows that it would have been quite obvious what the conversation had been centered on. For all Erik's coldness up to this point, Erik did have some genuine feelings for Alchino.

That was the problem really. Alchino had made an impression on him, and Erik didn't want to lose him. That was always an issue when you start getting too attached to someone, you won't be able to do your job properly. So Erik had made himself react more coldly to Alchino to try and avoid getting too close to him. It had worked a little too, to the point that while Erik was still more attached to Alchino that he'd like, he was nowhere as close to ALchino that he'd fail any mission to protect him. Erik found that he couldn't leave Alchino on his own though, but since his line or work was got too dangerous when staying in one place for too long, that left Erik in a quandry.

Leave Alchino in someone else's care, and hope Alchino survives, so that Erik could stop worrying about being seen to 'favor' one client over others, or stay with Alchino, and hope that compassion doesn't get him killed?

" That's why Inesi prefers his cycle," murmurs Kire, sighing as he tilts his head as he stretches, smiling a bit. " We don't drive much...and Lady Asune doesn't drive well...we usually call a cab or something...but she wasnted to come out her mostly on her own to welcome you two here..." Alchino sighs, pouting as he fidgets as they get nearer to home, eyes half lidded as he yawns. " Ah, poor Chino's so tired..."

" Well that's understandable," murmurs Asune, sighing as she smiles, eyes half lidded as she chuckles. " It was a joke...I don't approve of drugs in my clan...though Kire's had to have morphine before for injuries..." Asune giggles, eyes half lidded as she shrugs a bit to herself. " It's a thank you gift and if you need more to cover the trouble Alchino's put you through I'll happily pay more..."

Asune sighs, listening to Erik's words as a smile plays at her lips.
" I think that's for the best...forcing him to accept you too watch him or anything of the sort wouldn't go over well," murmurs Asune as she sighs, rubbing her head slightly. " He's stubborn that way...but if he hasn't tried to escape from you during this whole trip then I'm sure he at least feels safe with you at his side...which I can't say he probably feels with me or any of the other clan members at this time..."

Alchino sighs, sitting in the back, eyes half lidded as he tilts his head as he pouts. " So bored back here," mutters Alchino as Kire chuckles, having gotten over his laughing fit as Alchino tilts his head for a moment. " Is this the end point Erik?" murmurs Alchino, a strange expression on his face. " After you get paid I'm out of your hands and you back home...that's how it goes isn't it?"

Kire blinks, looking toward Alchino, noticing tear trailing down the younger males pale face as he sighs softly, eyes half lidded as he sighs softly, a strange expression on his face. " Erik...if you break his heart I swear," mutters Kire, shaking his side as Alchino quivers in his seat, looking like he's about to break into a sobbing fit.

" Don't leave," gasps out Alchino, fitting back the sobbing fit as he curls up in his seat. " Don't leave me...don't leave me here Erik...I beg of you! Please don't just leave me here! I won't be able to stand it! I've been relatively safe with you...sure it's been hectic, but it's been fun. I haven't had to worry so much...please...don't leave me here all alone...no one understand."
