The Guidelines to Battle sin GJW

Some people say that our 'death policy' needs areview and some say we need to look at the entire policy. With us trying to run an effective game, we have decided to ask the players what they think.

If you say yes, please feel free to post what you mean and if you want to post an entire re-write of the policy that you propose, feel free to do so.

I chose no because, frankly, I'm too lazy to think of a way to improve them. :P

Though I also don't think anything's wrong with them.

I was at least one person who brought this up, a player completely controlling whether their character dies or suffers a lasting injury is foolish as it grants the defender god a like ability.

If a Sith squares off against a trader from Skor II that fuzzy garbage collector will not have much hope, we all know it, but if that fuzzy decides he just doesn't want to die then he can't be killed.

Thats the thing. Everyone is a force user right now, no acception.

How about this comprimise.

If someone is obviously going to die, but does not wish it, he must back out immediatly, leaving the planet via a lucky coincidence, and the victor is awarded bonus points to force training as they have beaten the enemy?

Ok, I could see giving them the choice between an honorable death or a cowardly life.

We are discussing this, my suggestion was that if a character gets his or herself into a life-threatening situation then the protection doesn't apply. This is more for when say the DLOS decides he wants to slaughter all the padawans. It isn't fair on the other players and thus they have this protection.

That might be something YOU'D do, but I can assure you I won't butcher anyone until my plans are complete.

It was an example :P

Besides, I'm switching to the Jedi ... there are too many Sith about.

I say the rules are fine, first this rule clearly prevents someone from walking around and owning nublings and we're realistic people, we'll all accept defeat if we are in a clearly inferior positon with no hope of escape.
