Echoes of Her Lullaby

GRENADIER Grenadiers are Drone variant, but they are dangerous enough that they warrant special attention. Grenadiers are one of only two types of Locust that use grenades with any regularity. Grenadiers can drop Frag Grenades, but they don't always drop grenades. Be sure to check their bodies after you finish them off. Despite their name, Grenadiers don't always continually fling grenades at you, but they can and will, and this especially dangerous on higher difficulty levels. You can usually spot Grenadiers at a distance due to their lack of chest armor—their pale flesh makes them stand out. Grenadier variants include Flame Grenadier, which carries the Scorcher, and the Beast Rider, that usually drives Reavers and Bloodmounts. Be sure to shoot the fuel tanks that Flame Grenadiers carry. This is one of the best tactics for dealing with this enemy. These burly creatures are far more aggressive than the Drones. Armed with the Gnashed and Frag Grenades, they can inflict sever damage from close range. Grenadiers aren't the most intelligent creatures, and they occasionally rush forward, hurdling objects in their path and foregoing cover in their rush to kill. The element of surprise definitely works well for Grenadiers, as they often attack alongside other enemies, such as Drones, Boomers, or Wretches. They appear suddenly and move quickly to get within blasting range. The key to besting them is to recognize their intent and either toss a Frag Grenade in their path or retreat to cover and use the Lancer or Longshot's range to your advantage. VITALS WEAPONRY Shotgun, Frag Grenades, Scorcher, Boltok Pistol HEALTH 900—Grenadier 900—Flame Grenadier 900—Beast Rider COVER Much like Drones, Grenadiers use cover fairly well. However, unlike most Drone types, Grenadiers are very dangerous to you when you're not in cover. Make them priority targets if you can't easily retreat to safer ground should they toss a grenade your way. |
