So Watchmen is getting a prequal comic series called "Before Watchmen"... I don't have much faith in this.

If it is successful I'll be fine with it but does the series need a prequal? The book itself detailed the character's backstory and origins well enough on its own.

Watchmen prequal comics

If it was overseen by Alan Moore I would have some faith in it. But it isn't, so I don't see why they are even trying to do this.

This really doesn't seem necessary, Watchmen was a pretty complete story on its own.

Also, I bought Joker by Brian Azzarello and Lee Bermejo and the part one of Batman: Knightfall. I have read through Joker and thoroughly enjoyed it.

So far so good on Knightfall. If you're cool with oldschool, colourful, 80s Batman, this should be fine.

that said, I'm only just passed the first chapter.
