I thought it looked garbage, which is weird considering the talent involved with it.

Watched Chain Letter today, which is a bad horror movie about email chain letters. I expected horrible and I got it, that damn ending, they must have run out of money. Features Horror movie royaly; Brad Dourif and Keith David. So terribly directed, so terribly acted and makes no fucking sense.

Here's hoping you like Milla Jovovich and her seemingly never-ending role as the star of the Resident Evil films, because Sony Pictures has announced that a fifth film based on Capcom's classic survival horror franchise is on the way.

The news comes via Box Office Mojo, which reports that the next RE movie -- currently titled Resident Evil 5 but almost certain to gain a silly subtitle by the time it hits theaters -- will arrive on September 14, 2012. The series has traditionally had September start dates since the second film. Resident Evil 5 will also maintain the last film's one major addition to the series: 3D.

If you agree with the critics that the last film, Resident Evil: Afterlife, was kind of awful, I've got even worse news: Apparently everyone else in the world doesn't care. Box Office Mojo reports that Afterlife grossed an astounding $236 million in the foreign box office, which equals up to about as much money as the first three RE movies made combined.

Though this news confirms what aforementioned lead actress Milla Jovovich was saying way back when Afterlife hit theaters, I'm curious about the rest of her prediction. Jovovich said that she and husband/director Paul W.S. Anderson would be interacting with fans and taking suggestions on what they want to see in the latest installment. Perhaps you should leave a comment here telling us what you'd like to see just in case Jovovich is watching?

The only good thing about the last RE movie was Shawn Roberts, his Albert Wesker was pretty good.

I just watch Buried god, that was an awesome movie. It wasn't too long nor short, and the ending was awesome but sad. I really wished it got more awards because it deserves them.

Crystal Dynamics and GK Films announced today that the larger Tomb Raider brand reboot will encompass a new feature film. GK Films (The Town, The Tourist, Rango) has acquired the rights from Square Enix to translate Tomb Raider for the big-screen, and is aiming for a 2013 release for “the first film.”

The movie will be produced by Graham King and Tim Headington and "create daring new adventures for the young and dynamic Lara Croft."

“We are very excited to be rebooting what is already a hugely successful film franchise and continuing the Tomb Raider phenomenon,” said King.

Paramount Pictures released two previous Tomb Raider movies, both starring Oscar-award winning Angelina Jolie. The 2001 and 2003 films grossed $432 million worldwide. A lead actress has not been attached to the film as of yet.

Who would you like to see take the helm of the new Tomb Raider feature film?

I'm yet to see a video game adaptation that i'm interested in.

Its either eastern franchises or games that were shit in the first place.

I'd love to see a Duncan Jones helmed Mass Effect trilogy with Christian Bale in the lead role as a renegade aligned Shepard.

Neill Blomkamp directing Half Life would fit well as well.

I honestly think that a Bulletstorm film could work if directed by Neveldine/Taylor AKA the guys who did the Crank movies and Gamer, the only way you could fuck it up is if the violence was toned down and the story was made more serious.

Also, I want my violent, scary Bioshock movie.

I always thought a Legacy of Kain movie could be either really awesome, or really cheesy.

I loved the movie but hated the ending. I was expecting a major payout at the end, some sort of twist but none came.

The original Silent Hill film adaptation didn't set the world on fire, but quietly pulled in a respectable $97.6 million worldwide at the box office. Today, Konami confirmed that the long-discussed sequel, Silent Hill: Revelation 3D, has begun filming in Toronto. This is also further confirmation that soon every movie will be in 3D. We expect to get a press release for The King's Speech 2: The Stuttering 3D any moment now.

Sean Bean, who starred in Silent Hill (2006), is not announced as returning – presumably he's been too busy with the HBO adaptation of George R. R. Martin's A Game of Thrones. However, Kit Harington (another Game of Thrones cast member) is starring in the film alongside lead actress Adelaide Clemens (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) [pictured above], who plays the film's main character. Heather Mason.

Here's a brief synopsis of the plot provided by Davis Films, the company behind Silent Hill: Revelation: 3D:

"For years, Heather Mason (Clemens, pictured above) and her father have been on the run, always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn’t fully understand. Now on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by terrifying nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she’s not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her in Silent Hill forever."

According to Australian movie blog What’s Playing, Doom may get a second chance on the big screen.

Universal is allegedly shopping around for a script writer as we speak, looking to craft a new film that will ignore the events of the 2005 movie entirely. The only other tidbit of information we’ve got is an intent to shoot the movie in 3D.

If the rumor pans out, Doom will join Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li, and more recently Tomb Raider, as game franchises starting clean on the silver screen.

Anyone here actually like what The Rock was cooking in Doom?

I just finished watching the Batman Beyond series and the accompanying movie Return of the Joker. It's was absolutely awesome, I always enjoyed how the series would reference back to past events from when Bruce Wayne was Batman and the movie was based on that exact feeling. I definitely recommend it, but only after watching the series.
