Reviews at the moment are pretty good. Apparently the lightcycle scene is epic.

By the looks of it, rock 'em sock 'em robots.

They ruined Transformers

They ruined GI Joe (more so)

It only seems logical that they ruin another old toy that people had forgotten about.

I watched Megamind on friday night. I must say I was impressed by it. Lots of nods to old superman movies and superhero movies in general. But it did feel to drag in the middle.

I watched Devil tonight... I knew it would be bad... I underestimated the levels of retarded, here's a quote from the movie referring to beelzebub

“When he’s near, things go wrong. Toast falls jelly-side-down, children get hurt…”

and they're full on serious, this isn't said as a joke. He even throws a piece of toast in the air to prove his point.

The main retardedness to it is that toast mostly does fall jelly side down. So if things were going wrong when the devil was near then toast would fall jelly side up. but that would make it good, and not necessarily wrong oh my god I've gone cross-eyed....

I watched Black Death a few weeks ago with my mum (we normally watch random movies together), it was certainly not what I was expecting. It got ridiculously dark in the end and when the movie ended me and mum looked at each other and then decided we needed something happier to watch.

I watched the trailer for Centurion (?) before i watched the Black Death one, and at first though "yay, two silly slashy slashy movies" then it got interesting. Also, Sean Bean makes everything badass.

Boromir got screwed over, dammit

Centurion is a great movie. Neil Marshall has a great skill of taking a story idea thats been repeated to saturation and making it feel fresh again (see Dog Soldiers and The Decent).

Classic 1980's movie playing on go called the last star fighter. Have not seen this movie in ages and its great. Basicly a young teenager plays a arcade game and gets the top score, then they come from outer space to recruit him to fly the real star fighter. Also remember the actual game on the Amiga 1200 and comm 64.

I used to watch that movie religiously, I should give it another go.

I watched Tron today. I enjoyed it but don't go in expecting a cinema changing experience, it's a popcorn flick but the special effects are amazing and Jeff bridges gives the movie a Dude feeling "You're messing with my zen man".

Suprisingly there were only a few short close ups where young Jeff Bridges looked overly cgi, otherwise they did it really well and it's well worth a watch.
