You're the species, I'm the extinction... raw!
Today, Monday August 25th 2008, several college students emerged from their dens of boredom, woe, and hemiphotophobia to return to the academic plane of reality, albeit on the collegiate echelon. Some emerged in the upper atmosphere of the state, whereas others surfaced in the arid lowlands. And even some others tread new ground from afar in the east.

What has caused this new insurgency of erudite vagrants? Was it a desire for knowledge? A need for fulfillment? Or has the supply of cheetos and mountain dew run low for some? Or perhaps, in a darker sort of light, a need to feed...?

Whatever the cause may be, one thing is for certain, folks: A new age is arising.

One can only imagine what this could mean to the circle of Galadil's denizens. Yes, I mean denizens. Our peoples are sundered, but by the bond of our love for one another and our kinship and amity, by the cries of our fellow nerd-like peoples and those with whom we have grown with and from over these years, we can remain vigilant and steadfast, unshaken by the uncertain winds of these times.

I call upon you O! fine beings I think fondly of! Though we may be burdened by the Atlas-like weight of oversized and overpriced schoolbooks, though we may be cleaved from our friends through distance and traffic, and though we may be lost amidst an endless abyss of woeful homework and tedious studies and workloads:

please.... do not abandon those you care for, do not forget one another. Come to the forums once upon a time and post as you can! You needn't say all you can, just enough so your livelihood can be made known to those who would ask. Let your heart pour out a story, let your hands fly and join friends in a shared roleplay, let not our Company be parted; lest the good times and fond memories be naught but that, nostalgic and forlorn, never to wax again.

We came. We saw. We drank your internal fluids with our trunklike mandibles. It was a good time.
