Hi all, and don't laugh at me either pauly, just after a decent training schedule to compete in tri's / duathlons, competed in my first duathlon couple of weeks ago 2km run 10km ride and 1km run, came 11 out of 54. next time want to get somewhere up near the podium at least, any ideas are welcome.

A lot better than I can ever do. I'm a sprinter, not a stayer, lol. Put it this way, you were faster than the majority of people in the event. Hey, I've discovered werribee street is a ripper of a street to ride down. I've been riding down it on the chopper to avoid the magpies on ballan road. Bit of a tail wind this morning, I think I'm sitting on at least 40k's, possibly close to 50, as the car that finally came past me and went around the corner, I ended up meeting the car again at the traffic lights near the pub! I was wrecked when I got to the shop though, lol.

lol...watch out for those speed wobbles mate...think that chopper was made for cruisen not speed.
