It is encouraging to hear the dems start taking bringing the troops home seriously. Unfortunately they are still allowing the U.N. corporate representative, Obama proceed with reducing the size of the military. WE ARE FACING THREE WARS!!! This is obviously NOT the time to reduce the size of the United States Military. The only problem is our leadership, not our military strength. There is no need to reduce the size o the military, we simply need them to be on U.S. soil in order for them to defend the country. We don't need to be wasting resources in desert poppy farms. We don't need to be funding military bases in hostile countries. Obama is obviously only paying lip service to actually reducing military presence on foreighn soil. This is just a last ditch attempt to weaken our military in order to somehow make a terrorist invasion seem realistic. Reducing the size of the military is the only goal, not increasing the security of the United States. This could possibly create backlash if the bad guys are planning on installing a republican this time. Hopefully this is obvious. Here are some interesting relevent articles: --- http://www.americanfreepress.net/html/151_congressmen_derive_financi.html 151 Congressmen Derive Financial Profit From War Blood money stains the hands of more than 25% of members of the U.S. House and Senate By Ralph Forbes Who profits from the Iraq war? More than a quarter of senators and congressmen have invested at least $196 million of their own money in companies doing business with the Department of Defense (DoD) that profit from the death and destruction in Iraq. According to the latest reports, 151 members of Congress invested close to a quarter- billion in companies that received defense contracts of at least $5 million in 2006. These companies got more than $275.6 billion from the government in 2006, or $755 million per day, according to FedSpending.org, a website of the watchdog group OMBWatch. http://www.americanfreepress.net/html/151_congressmen_derive_financi.html --- http://wri-irg.org/node/6902 On this site you can find short information about companies which profit from war. This can be in various ways. On the one hand they can be the supplier or manufacturer of weapons and on the other hand they can be directly involved in the war zone and on the battlefield as companies who provide special private military. This information is not complete, because of that you can find some links for more facts. Also you are welcome to ad more companies. The military provides them with the basics to live, but our troops have to buy all their personal items and any special treats for themselves. By sending a care package to the troops during the holidays (or anytime), you can make their lives a little more enjoyable while they are protecting our freedom. http://www.sheknows.com/holidays-and-seasons/articles/848451/care-packages-for-the-troops i love you all as i love myself |
