do you know how close this is to yellowstone? or which direction they were heading?? they show "what if" movies of yellowstone exploding in the schools there and wondering if that is a fear tactic or possible. hmmmmm... all the ash would kill everyone instantly right? |

Woa! To children? What more impressionable minds could they have than that? Seems like they are pulling out all the stops in the last few months milking every last drop of emotional excess they can drum up. They have been going on about yellowstone for the last 15 yrs. however, quakes have increased everywhere, especially on the ring of fire. that is one spot on the map i hope never activates. yes, you are right, anyone in the immediate 10 miles or so is toast, 100-200 miles toast later due to inhalation/gases depending on the direction. if it does go, that dust will be ALL over the US. It is literally like inhaling cement dust. Your lungs come to a complete stop, no fix. Just thinking about it makes me wonder if they have been dropping silica on us from above in addition to the aluminum, barium, fungus and germs. It stops your engine too, that is why planes are not allowed to go ANYwhere near those winds. yes, please let us know what your first hearing of it said...which way they were going. As later they probably changed the info to keep ppl from panicing. Edited by epona, Apr 9 2014, 10:10 PM.
