Rains in Afghanistan kill 21

21 deaths, officials said.
Mohammad Aslam Sayas, the deputy of the Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authorities, told CNN that at least
108 homes were destroyed by the floodwaters.
At least
11 of the deaths were the result of
cars being washed away or caught in
flash flooding, Kabul Police Chief Mohammad Ayoub Salangi said.
An election registration office was also damaged, he said.
The International Security Assistance Force on its Twitter account called it the first "real" rain in months.
Photos from Kabul Saturday showed flooded streets and traffic jams in the city.
Dime-sized hail also pelted the region, ISAF said.
The heaviest rain lasted for about two hours Saturday, the police chief said.
