thread view counts for moved threads

I previously noticed that if I merge two or more threads into one thread, the thread view count for the new, merged thread is set to zero just like a brand new thread. I've only merged two or three threads, so it's not a big deal, but I wanted to mention it.

I've also noticed that when I move a thread from one forum to another, the thread view count shows accurately within the forum to which the thread was moved, while the "moved" thread/link in the forum from which the thread was moved will show zero views. That makes sense as the "moved" thread/link is really just to redirect you to the thread's new location. In some cases, there may be more than one "moved" thread/link, if more than one forum subject applies to the thread. I may occasionally move a thread more than once so that people can easily find the information when looking in any of the relevant forums. A thread's view count will show accurately in the thread's new location but not in the forum from which it was moved.

what's the other forum?
the meek shall inherit the earth.
not many meek people on message boards.
I'm just here to hone my communication skills,
not looking to convert anyone.

So my suspicions were correct and I did manage to be confusing after all that rambling. Sorry about that.

I meant the different forums within the Free Thinkers board. If you go to the main/index page http://s6.zetaboards.com/Free_Thinkers/index, it shows the different categories and the forums within the categories.

Here is an example of what I meant about moving threads and thread view counts. If you go to page six http://s6.zetaboards.com/Free_Thinkers/forum/33031/6 of the general discussion forum, near the top of the page you will see a moved/redirect thread titled "the AKAN WEBSITE AND BOOK." If you click on that thread, it takes you to the thread's current location in the Websites forum. If you go to the Books forum http://s6.zetaboards.com/Free_Thinkers/forum/4007332/, you will see that there is also a moved/redirect thread there with the same title "the AKAN WEBSITE AND BOOK" which also takes you to the thread's current location in the Websites forum. Because that thread relates to books and websites, I first moved it to the books forum and then to the websites forum. Also, if you go to the second page of the topics posted by Wio http://s6.zetaboards.com/Free_Thinkers/search/2/?c=4&mid=165190, you will see that the same thread title "the AKAN WEBSITE AND BOOK" appears three times, twice as redirect links with zero replies and zero thread views, and once as a link to the thread's current location in the Websites forum with several replies and over a hundred thread views.

No one needs to be concerned about any of this, I'm just posting it as an explanation, and partly so I can refer back to this thread when I try to remember this stuff myself.
