I know you'd rather avoid these pies necra but these are unavoidable. I'm bringing in the pumpkin now but don't worry, they'll be topped with whipped cream to soften the blow.

I wish I could embed these. So funny and silly. Edit - I guess this one does embed and play here in the post.

I hadn't noticed you posted in this thread until today, Petunia. Pumpkin pie with whipped cream it is!

All silliness aside for the moment. I was wondering where I might have got the idea about the original intention of film, why it was developed as I described in the OP, that if it wasn't necra who posted about it, I wondered if it could it have been size_of_light that did. I did locate an interesting post by him that I'd read some time ago that was very interesting about film. It was in the Monsterquest thread which was about the Gable Film. I read through that whole thread one time and it took me a very, very long time. It has 2,102 replies and is over 211 pages long. My page count is skewed because after reading through it, I was so angry at a guy named metacomet for the hateful way he was treating size_of_light, aka SOL, that when I eventually found the ignore feature at the board and how to use it, he was one of the first that went on it. When a person is put on ignore it removes all their posts from the viewers sight (who has them on ignore) and can alter the page count because of the space that gets removed.

That was a defining event for me in that I realized that not only did I want to ignore the soulless, empty shelled, reptilian (demons), freemasons, ever-what, who flame, thwart, bait, derail anyone and anything that seems to come close to the truth especially those that delve into the mysteries. From that point on I made it my routine that if someone was laying on someone in a hateful, underhanded, below-the-belt manner, I just swept up their names and put them on my ignore list. It didn't have to be aimed at me for me to make that decision. There are differences between things and it seemed out of the realm of normal disagreements and anger.

I didn't want to spend my time emotionally reacting to the flamers whose soul intention and purpose it was to flame, nor did I want to entertain those who couldn't conduct themselves properly with others. I can understand to a limit, but there is a limit.

Okay, just wanted to clear that. Now, maybe I should go on to the interesting part about what he posted about film because it gave me lots of ideas about how film might have hypnotized people in mass.

SOL is talking about skinwalkers and how they perform their black-magic, then about what film is composed of:

But even if they're real, the idea of a skinwalker using a film to possess the minds of it's victims like that is preposterous, isn't it?

Is it...?

The creature resorts to grave robbery to increase its own personal wealth, as well as to collect much-needed ingredients for use in its own brand of black magic.

Except for an animal skin, the Skinwalker prefers to go about naked, even in the dead of winter. Because of the Skinwalker’s choice of shapeshifting into predatory animals, wearing the skins of those particular animals is a major taboo, and is deeply frowned upon by the Navajo community. Wearing the hide of a sheep or a cow is acceptable, but if an individual should choose to wear the skin of a predator, he is liable to be accused of being a Skinwalker. The Skinwalker is also known for wearing the skulls of the animals it becomes in addition to their skin, which is said to bring additional power to the witch.

The Skinwalker is adept in the use of black magic, using charms, chants, and spells to induce supernatural fear into its chosen victims, so that it may manipulate them into doing the Skinwalker’s bidding.

Quote:

The Skinwalker has a wide variety of weapons at its disposal, in addition to the human shinbone bows and arrows mentioned earlier. One of the most potent of these is a tiny bone pellet, which is fired from a blowgun into a victim’s body. These pellets imbed themselves into the skin without leaving so much as a mark, and afterwards causes sickness, social misfortune, and eventual death. Bone dust, once again made from ground-up infant bones, induces bodily paralysis and eventual heart failure.

Gelatin recovered from bone is used primarily in photographic applications...The so-called green bone from the slaughter of cattle is cleaned, degreased, dried, sorted, and crushed to a particle size of about 1-2 cm...From this point on in the manufacture of Type B gelatin, both cattle hides and ossein receive similar treatment.

Unfortunately, we do not know of any film that is made without gelatin. Over the years, PETA has pressured film manufacturers to find a gelatin substitute, and while Kodak and Fuji have researched non-animal alternatives, they still claim that they cannot replace animal gelatin in film.

Wait a minute.

Film is bad because it's made of a gelatin base?

What the heck do you think jello is? What most pill capsules are made of?

You also eat gelatin every time you eat a steak, stew with beef chunks in it, hamburger meat.

Btw, I don't understand why they can't use plastic anyway. There are so many different versions of plastic, surely they could find one in the pile of sythetics. But plastics are made from oil, some from wood.

Hmmm.....maybe we should just all go back to washing real cloth diapers, using wax paper for sandwhiches, and glass containers instead of tupperware.
