I have always had a hunch that Atarctica holds a key to a lot of answers, Peter Mungo Jupp is currently studying what this mysterious part of the Earth is revealing, I'm sure he has many hunches too;

Peter Mungo Jupp is making a film on Antarctica - once a tropical paradise . The group's mission is to investigate the creation of the ice sheets some 3 miles thick. Why are there tropical rain forests and marsupials under that ice? Also what about the validity of the Oronteus Fineus maps depicting Antartica ice free some 4000 years ago? What part did the Electric Universe play in this? The group's input will make this an exciting film!

Don't understand why this is a surprise. Like, you know they found a mammoth in the arctic circle somewhere, so if it was tropical up there, same below since we live on a sphere.

Bet there are all kinds of interesting stuff under that ice. No telling what archeological finds will pop up that they will hide those too for about 25 yrs before releasing the edges of it, just like everything else. I am not in a good mood, sorry.

Epona, it's not so much as a suprise but an interest that Iv'e followed up on whenever information becomes available.
The North has always had a strong history of religion , cultural & historical events including myths & legends, here in the South apart from local native legends that are kept mostly unshared, we've only got the Western historical time line which just goes back a few hundred years & usually traces the odd story of the whaler or explorer that was blown off course.
It sometimes feels like your living in the land where time forgot, as I live quite close to the Antarctic & it's only relatively recent that certain archeologists are breaking their code of silence & bringing to light a more conclusive picture of what was once here. They need to be encouraged to speak out more as I feel some of them get persecuted when breaking away from the mould.
I remember going through the desert & seeing in my minds eye a picture of a lush, beautiful landscape & all ancient texts attest to the fact that this earth was once a paradise, not the harsh, extreme & unforgiving environment that it is now.
I've also read somewhere that once, long ago there were no salt oceans, just fresh water streams & rivers running through & connecting the earth.
