Fasting?????

In a few days I want to start fasting for five days. During this time period I dont want to eat any food, but I will be drinking lots of water. Also I want to rest during the fast and not do to much physical activity. I have been wanting to do this because lately I have been feeling crappy with brain fog and low energy. I have read that fasting cleanses the body and helps the body heal itself. Fasting is said to sharpen your senses, give you lots of energy and reduce depression. I have read that the first two days of fasting are the hardest, as the body craves food, but on the third day hunger subsides and your body starts to burn fat for energy and starts to clean itself of toxins. I have even heard that fasting can cure many diseases and ailments. I've read somewhere that the average American has enough fat to survive several weeks without food, as long as they drink plenty of water.


Do you guys think that it is a good idea? Also, what are you experiences with fasting?

I fasted when I was young. The first 2 days are the pitts. By day 3 you start to say "I can do this".

Make sure you have no major health issues (like diabetic or kidney probs, etc.). And drink LOTS of water. Like a gallon per day. You have to dilute all the crap going through your kidneys. It's your kidneys you have to worry about, the delicate filters, so water is very important. There is such a thing as detoxing too fast. All the poisons come out of the closet when you fast, so the idea is to do it slowly and don't overwhelm your body's capacity to deal with these becauase they recirculate and actually hurt your organs otherwise.

Some do a veggie fast (like v-8), some a soup fast (no chewables), some fruit fasts (non-citrus fruits) and those that have been doing it for a good while can do citrus fasts as those really dig out the crud.

The more you fast, the longer you can go. Take one or 2 days and see how bad you feel. If it is really bad, you can always go on veggies for a third day and then back to regular stuff. The longer you fast, also the more careful you have to be getting off of it. Don't fast and then eat a big fat sandwich getting off fast. Take one day light things and then semi-heavy and then normal. If you are young your body can stand more punishment, but why do it? Love yourself, and enjoy your adventure!

i read once U begin fasting 'stay away from people', because U will begin to stink.
this is the toxins coming out...our breath and body odor becomes atrocious.

several years ago, when i met my reptilian 'contact', i stopped eating.i had no desire to eat as i felt so wonderful and energized and full of life.
my husband would bring me a sandwich and force me to eat it after several days of not eating.there was just no desire to eat.
i came to the point where i realized hunger was an ILLUSION.this made me laugh.
the hunger pangs went away after a few days.i could feel them, but from far off.
they didnt affect me whatsoever.

least, but not last, fasting these days makes good ' on money = YOU short YOUR daily expenses = ha,ha,ha ? - sorry, i couldn' t help it ...

U know what i remember thinking when i realized that hunger was, and truly is, AN ILLUSION??
i didnt want to come back 'down', and eat again, with all of the accompanying mess eating brings.

my mind was expanding and my body was so much lighter and 'out of my way' so to speak.it felt more 'right'.

i saw hunger like an insistent, bratty kid, demanding and demanding every second of my life...i was appalled at so much time just wasted, having to feed and void, the preparations and cleanup, the whole deal.
it all looked and felt just 'heavy'.eating is very grounding i realize now.

the weirdest part which i will NEVER forget was that i had a choice to 'keep going' and i really wanted to...it was so nice.
but in my heart i felt my husbands spirit ask me to stay though he never spoke the words out loud, he was afraid of something, i saw it in his eyes, and i didnt like seeing him so distressed, that is when i realized i COULDNT go...i would have to make that hard choice. so i did.

it wasnt suicide, it was a freedom i wanted to experience more and dare i say FULLY?
i knew i would lose something if i came back and layed down to the hunger.
its not so bad, its not like im not used to it.
but that is one of the worst things about being here in this 3d life is having to bow to that hunger in order to continue.

U will have UR own 'deep thoughts' depending on how far U go.
