My brothers used to like to tie strings around the legs of metallic looking beetles that look like the first three here and fly them around in a circle. While looking for images of them I ran across silver and then gold beetles sometime after reading a forum post about someone seeing gold beetles in his garden and worrying whether they would do any damage. omg i LOVE beetles! they are so awesomely colored! when i was little i considered them something like a living TREASURE and felt so happy when i came across one. i liked that their colors didnt rub off on my fingers if i touched it. and they dont bite so they are like little moving JEWELS. to me anyway. |
