My queue is empty... mostly. Now, maybe I can get to the other projects I have at home. You never know when these crisis will crop up and occupy your complete and undivided attention. May the Spirit of love be with us, with the people of Japan, and with all those experiencing suffering and death of those dear in these increasingly frightening and horrific times. Haiti and Iraq and the many other places in which humans are enduring an onslaught of malign forces and events so overwhelming and devastating. It would be nice if more people would wake up in consciousness. It's the reason we were told in the Native prophecies that if we didn't spiritually awaken things like this would happen on the planet... because we'd all be so busy living material lives and lusting after things we wouldn't pay attention and realize what the snakes were up to... destroying our world and the life and inhabitants in it. If our eyes were open and we were all working with one great consciousness... well, that's a no brainer. Knowing so many people and their diversity of mind and awareness I realize the odds are against that, but keeping in mind what Gregg Braden said that if we could create with a certain number of people, .01% of the population, then we will have an affect. You might recall the electromagnetism generated on 911 spiked, going off the charts, which was linked directly to human emotions...an event which was broadcast worldwide affecting a great many human beings, polarizing them with fear. The human heart, as Gregg stated, is 100x to as much as 3,000 times a more powerful an electromagnetic generator than the brain. The mustard seeds Jesus referred to would be a good figurative example. Quake toll surpasses 6,900 dead, 10,700 missing![]() An ambulance drives past the ruins of buildings at Onagawa town, Miyagi Prefecture, northeastern Japan, Friday, March 18, 2011. Updated: Fri Mar. 18 2011 2:24:17 PM One week after Japan was rocked by a powerful earthquake and tsunami, the toll from the twin disasters has soared to more than 6,900 people dead and 10,700 missing. According to the National Police Agency on Friday, 6,911 people are now confirmed dead, and 10,754 are still missing -- for a total of 17,665. The still-rising number represents the deadliest incident since the end of the Second World War in 1945. To mark the one week milestone on Friday, evacuees, rescuers and officials in the hard-hit prefectures of Miyagi, Iwate and Fukushima observed a moment of silence at 2:46 p.m. local time -- exactly one week after the magnitude-9 quake hit northeastern and eastern Japan. Kyodo News Agency reported that some 90,000 rescue workers have managed to reach about 26,000 survivors. But with the more than 10,000 missing, the toll could still climb much higher. It's likely that many of the missing were sucked out to sea by the tsunami, and their bodies may never be found. Meanwhile, infrastructure such as roads, airports and ports is finally being repaired, and the flow of supplies is slowly beginning to be restored to areas that were previously cut off. Sendai airport, which was submerged in the tsunami, is once again dry and being used by helicopters and airplanes on relief missions. Still, the challenges remain immense with hundreds of thousands displaced, and with thousands of homes and even entire towns completely destroyed. On Friday, Miyagi Gov. Yoshihiro Murai offered "non binding" encouragement to quake survivors to consider moving to other prefectures where more housing is available. "Living conditions will improve if they move to other prefectures," he told reporters. "It is a nonbinding request. I hope people affected by the quake will co-operate." The Japanese government reported Friday that the quake and tsunami caused roughly 269 fires, destroyed 11,991 houses and damaged 1,232 sections of road. http://ottawa.ctv.ca/servlet/an/local/CTVNews/20110318/japan-officials-110318/20110318/?hub=OttawaHome ![]() Survivors use a plastic bucket to get water from a well at the devastated town of Yamada, northeastern Japan, on Friday, March 18, 2011. ![]() Vast areas of Kesennuma, northeastern Japan, still remains under water on Friday, March 18, 2011. ![]() Quake survivors observe a moment of silence at the time the massive earthquake struck their village of Tanohata, northeastern Japan, Friday, March 18, 2011. Note from yass - See all the orbs in the background of the last picture? A while back there was a thread, one where a battle field had been and many died, and there were lots of orbs. I kind of thought they might be the souls of the departed. |

Thought I might post this here, too. I put it in the Spiderwort thread earlier. Worldwide reports of iodine overdoses: WHO The World Health Organisation (WHO) says it has received reports of people being admitted to poison centres around the world after taking iodine tablets. Fears about harmful levels of radiation coming out of the damaged nuclear power plant in Fukishima has seen panic buying of iodine pills in many countries. Iodine is thought to protect the body's thyroid and glandular system from radiation. The French government has dispensed half a million tablets to its Pacific territories as a precautionary measure. But WHO Western Pacific environmental officer, Steven Iddings, says there are already reports of overdoses in countries close to Japan. "These would be from maybe frightened people who have self-medicated without the advice of a doctor," he said. "This treatment is really meant for people who are close up, perhaps workers who are associated with the response in Japan." http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2011/03/18/3168067.htm?section=justin |
