who was it that clinton sold secrets to. the chinese ...what was the chinese backers name? http://www.jpands.org/hacienda/yearrat.html Given what we now know, President Clinton was lying when in April 1996 he stated: "For the first time since the dawn of the nuclear age, there is not a single solitary nuclear missile pointed at an American child tonight. Not one. Not a single one." |

yes....the tiannamen square debacle still haunts the chinese.. and they apparently are revolting in various smaller areas of china.. btw.. yesterday's rally reports were hilarious.. a group of about 9 of them.. hired a russian cargo plane and pilot and went to the next destination to acquire the penthouse hotel room and their booze.. the rules of the race had nothing about airplanes in the rule book.. which has many rules.. so that group going from russia into kaszatstan.. apparently were first with their crews and vintage autos.. this race on the whole seems much more difficult than the last race.. the bloggers, i dont know if they have been able to get thru reports..but the reports from pekingparis are rather funny...i think we all need a laugh for the day the way the american economy is going.. not to mention it is 107 in phoenix today.. the hottest sept i remember ever... ah ho WIO |

tiannamen was a real shock..wasn't it a peaceful demonstration? some of the leaders were given scholarships at harvard...wonder if the guy that stood down the column of tanks survived...i think i read that he was killed for his efforts http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tank_Man Eyewitness reporter Charlie Cole believes that the man was arrested by secret police and was just one of the many executed in the aftermath of the military crackdown, since the Chinese government was never able to produce him after the images became public.[3] In April 1998, Time included the "Unknown Rebel" in a feature titled Time 100: The Most Important People of the Century. ![]() ==== any tanks in the race, wio?
