I just read a post of Necra's where he mentioned flourescent bulbs. We used to use them but never will again. They seemed to mess our outlets up. Seriously; we had those kind of bulbs in our foyer chandelier and the last few times anyone turned it on, it would cause lights in the adjoining room to flicker, and now two outlets in that room no longer work. I do not trust them. My two cents. We now have regular bulbs everywhere and the light flickering has stopped. |

Look at your electric box first....See if any thing is tripped...Run your finger, with a little bit of pressure down the the breaker switches. It's safe Tulip...you will not get shocked. You see, some times a breaker can switch to off and just barely move.If you find that no breakers are tripped,[if they are tripped, they will clicked, suddenly to the off position, once you touch it] then look at every single one of your outlets. If there is a red button that says [reset],and a black button that says[test]...Push the test button,[the black one],and then push the red,[reset] button hard if need be,until it clicks...If it doesn't click, you need to replace that outlet...It is very easy and cheap to do yourself. If you payed a company to do this,it would cost up to 200.00 bucs. You can get a new outlet for way under 20.00 bucs.If this is the problem Tulip, let me know.I can walk you guys through it if need be.It's very easy. |

stock up on the regular bulbs quickly...bush passed a law banning them after 2010. they will not be made anymore. we will only have those spiral ones. and whatever U do do NOT break a spiral one. full of mercury vapors and whatnot. U need a hazmat crew to come out and clean the room it was broken in. cost one woman something like 3 grand when her daughter threw something up and broke the bulb. i dont think the schools have a clue about this. it could be that UR electric boxes simply burned out. they are easy to change as long as the power is shut off while the new box is being hooked back up.U could probably do it urself. weve got two rooms completely out of electricity right now. hes got a buddy with a little hand held device to scan the wires in the walls, it will find the short. our boxes were replaced in those two rooms but that wasnt the issue. it is a short in the wires somewhere. he wired the other side of the house himself with new wire so this is just odd. these rooms barely get used. |
