bacteria, synthesised and living hormones, dead and or living pus amongst other things are what white death is laced with...regardless of who is producing it and no matter where you get it.

i invite anyone who is curious to just try a true dairy free diet for 30 days. after the 30, go right back to your old dairy comsumption habits...stay near the commode and have plenty of shit tickets handy because in 24-48 hours you wil never, and i mean never be so sick..

the benifits of a dairy free diet needs to be experienced to be appreciated.

humans do not instincively gravitate towards milk like we would to a river if we were thirsty but we have been well conditioned over the years. it's marketing at it's best. let's toss some chocolate in there...really make them love it....after a while it's common place in the fridge and kids who drink it, are always less healthy, prone to sickness and this milk sucking generation with their ipods and terrible attitudes is, you guessed it, NOT expected to live as long as us....amongst other reasons of course.

don't be scared to dump it in the drain.

it's also worthwhile mentioning, dairy farming puts incredible strains on local eco systems, affects water tables, fecal run-off, field run-off. what was there before the dairy/hog farm, the forrests, can always be there but the farm itself cannot exist on that land for more then 200 years and the land is dead. it's the very essence of the way the farm is run...nothing to do with farming being evil in any way because it's not.

Good points, robby and the one. Many years ago... I read that if we didn't have to feed the animals that we use for meat, there would be plenty of food to feed the entire world, but as it is, the grain that could be feeding people, goes to the animals we slaughter in order to eat meat (or consume dairy products if you will).

I did a quick search for a reference.

Wasted Resources

Raising animals for food requires massive amounts of land, food, energy, and water and contributes to animal suffering.

Raising animals for food is grossly inefficient, because while animals eat large quantities of grain, they only produce small amounts of meat, dairy products, or eggs in return. This is why more than 70 percent of the grain and cereals that we grow in this country are fed to farmed animals. It takes up to 16 pounds of grain to produce just one pound of meat, and even fish on fish farms must be fed 5 pounds of wild-caught fish to produce one pound of farmed fish flesh.17,18 All animals require many times more calories, in the form of grain, soybeans, oats, and corn, than they can possibly return in the form of animal flesh for meat-eaters to consume.

The world's cattle alone consume a quantity of food equal to the caloric needs of 8.7 billion people—more than the entire human population on Earth.19 About 20 percent of the world's population, or 1.4 billion people, could be fed with the grain and soybeans fed to U.S. cattle alone.20 Learn more about the link between meat consumption and world hunger.

One of the things I read in the book 2150 A.D. by Thea Alexander in the setting of the futuristic year 2150, humans consumed meat that really was not meat, but synthesized meat made from plants, vegetables and grains, with the look, taste, and texture of meat. Because humans have consumed meat for so long, this was for their eating pleasure.

Locally, and for here and now, there is someone who has extra goat milk that they might be interested in trading for bread or raw honey.

I don't think I've ever had any goat milk but I might be willing to try it. I think it would be a good alternative to store bought milk.

-Love will lead

a species doubles in physical size in just 40 years and you want to drink the milk that it produces...unpasteurized or not...be my guest frind.
I totally agree. Girls have been developing too early and boys too. They don't have a childhood anymore, they go from children to teens and totally skip a step in development. Like, as in, the carefree fun years are marred by hormone brainstorms and relationship issues instead. More stress, less love at home seems to be encouraged.

Oh, but what I wanted to remind everyone on the subject of milk is that remember the old Elmer's Glue bottles we had to have for school? You always saw the name Bordens on it, remember? And it is white, duh! Same for the hard paste.

Out of glue, use some milk and let it dry.

A newer item from milk is synthetic fabric! They now make yarn from milk. No joke. Makes one reconsider drinking it. Personally, we now usually buy almond milk instead. A few varieties, and less calories than milk.

Something else to remember is that MANY babies are allergic to cows milk formulas. What is best tolerated? Goat milk. Think about it, the goat is small, so the protein molecule is more comparable to human milk in size......scratch goat milk, just read the notmilk article...whatever happened to breastfeeding anyway? It's free! Saw a neat bumpersticker the other day "If breastfeeding offends you, throw a blanket over your head!" ha!
