Fact is: It works wonders. I invite you to watch Tina's documentary about her work with AIDS patients in rural Kwa Zulu Natal. This is really mind blowing and deeply touching. Tina has achieved total recovery of more than 90% of those cases deemed terminal, meaning people who could not even feed a spoon to their mouth. In cases of "full blown AIDS" where people are just slightly sick and still walk about on their own 2 legs her recovery rate is 99%, fully documented in over 400 cases. This is in stark contrast to the poor patients who for lack of unbiased information follow the Antiretroviral programme as advocated by the medical establishment. 18% of them are dead after 6 months. Since the programme flushes the body of toxins and restores health it has also shown great promise with cancer, diabetes and many other systemic diseases. It is easy to follow and not expensive. The following has been compiled by Tina v/d Maas herself for your perusal: BASIC WELLNESS PROGRAM This basic Wellness Program can be used when suffering from any (chronic) disease as it detoxifies the body and restores the biochemistry of the body, so the body has the tools to repair itself. It can also be used to maintain health and well being. Key to the Wellness Program is the lemon and olive oil mixture, which detoxifies the body, assists the liver to function properly, and helps to get the ph of the body back to normal in the shortest of time. People who are not well have usually an acid body, which means the ph of the urine is below 7. For optimal health a healthy person’s ph should be between 7.1 and 7.3. When you have cancer, your ph should be 7.5 or above, as than any cancer stops growing, which gives you time to get rid of the cancer. You can buy urine strips to test your urine yourself in SA at Dischem or any good pharmacy. [note - ebay is a resource] To make 1 portion of the lemon / olive oil mixture: 1. Soak the lemon for about 10 minutes in water with some vinegar added 2. Cut the lemon in pieces and put it in the blender 3. Add 1 tablespoon of Extra Virgin Olive oil and 1 cup of water 4. Blend 5. If you do not have a blender, soak the lemon as above, grate the lemon and put it in a container, and add the water and the Extra Virgin Olive oil 6. So you are using the WHOLE lemon, the peel, the white, the flesh, the juice and the pips! When you are sick, you drink 3 portions per day – which means 3 lemons, 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil and 3 cups of water till you are completely symptom free. You can make for 5 days at a time – which means 15 lemons, 15 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil and 15 cups of water. Keep the mixture in the fridge Following are the other ingredients you need to take or what to avoid: Garlic 3 Tablespoons per day: 1 in the morning, 1 in the afternoon, 1 in the evening *use raw garlic, grated or finely minced and pressed some with the back of a spoon Ginger As above Beetroot 2 large beets or 4 small beets Brazil nuts Eat 2 per day at least, more if you are sick Pumpkin seeds At least 1 tablespoon per day Lemon / olive oil mixture 3 portions per day: 1 in the morning, 1 in the afternoon, 1 in the evening Multivitamin In SA, a good one to use is the multivitamin from Bioharmony available at Dischem, Clicks and Health shops. In the rest of the world, Dr Mercola (USA), Jon Barron (USA), Patrick Holfordt (UK) and Solgar produce good supplements. Take twice the recommended dosage when very sick Fruit and vegetables As much as you want, especially what is in season in your country Eggs When ph is in the normal range, 1 soft boiled egg per day Chicken or fish Only when your ph is in the normal range, or if you have cancer, when your ph is above 7.5 Exercise, fresh air and sunshine Do some fun exercise like dancing or brisk walking at least 4x per week. Keep your windows open, even at night when it is cold. Spend at least ˝ hour per day in the sun. If living in a climate where the sun “disappears” during winter, take at 1 tablespoon of Codliver oil per day Water 2 liters of water per day. For people with arthritis this is very important. As the acid leaves the joints, you don’t want this acid to form kidney stones Tea Herbal teas like Green tea or Rooibos tea Brown rice Only once ph is right YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE THE FOLLOWING TILL YOU ARE SYMPTOM FREE: Beverages No “normal” tea, no coffee (instant or bean), no alcohol, no juices (even the “natural” ones or the no sugar added ones), no frizzy or gassy drinks, no diet drinks, no milk or yoghurt Starches No sugar, no refined foods, no bread, no wheat products, no pasta, no flour, no potatoes, obviously no cakes etc., no diet products Other food No red meat till you are healthy, and then eat occasionally “green” meat (from cattle raised organically). Stay away from all processed meats including sausages, and also meat from pork like bacon and ham Artificial sweeteners Do not use any of these. They were designed to kill ants, so if you want to get rid of your ants in your garden or house, just sprinkle artificial sweetener powder and the ants will die Fried Food Heating oil and frying food make the food and the oil toxic. Avoid especially when sick This Basic Wellness Program works for most chronic diseases like Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol, Arthritis, AIDS, Asthma, Epilepsy, stomach ulcers etc. It also helps you to loose weight easily, or in the case of AIDS and some cancer patients to pick up the weight – whatever is needed. Some diseases need extra things either to do or to take: Diabetes If you really crave sugar, add Chromium (which is a supplement) for a month or so Epilepsy Add 2 to 3 tablespoons of Hemp oil to your lemon / olive oil mixture every day Arthritis Do not forget to drink your 2 liters of water per day Asthma Take extra ginger when you feel short of breath. It works as an anti-inflammatory! Do the following breathing exercise a couple of times per day: Breath out, till all is out (bending even over). Breath in on the count of 8, hold your breath for the count of 8, and breath out again, bending over. Singing songs where you have to use up your air is also a good way to do this exercise You NEVER stop your medication on your own – this is dangerous and stupid. Have yourself monitored every week by a doctor (or a registered nurse who is allowed to adjust your medication) for insulin, high blood pressure medication and cholesterol medication. You will need less medication as you stay on the program till all medication may be stopped. You can reduce medication like painkillers and anti-inflammatory drugs yourself, but for example cortisone or steroids (often prescribed for arthritis and asthma are drugs you have to be weaned of, depending how long you have been on it. Although you will not need your asthma pump anymore, keep it with you till you know for sure you will not need it anymore. Don’t just throw it out when you have not used it for a week or two. Once you are well, you can reduce everything to twice per day. Keep on monitoring your ph so it stays in the normal range, and than you can reduce everything to once per day. You will notice that when for example you have eaten many things you should normally avoid, like cakes, puddings and meat, your ph may drop and you may feel sluggish the next day. Just for one or two days take again 3 portions of everything, so you can get all the junk quickly out of your body. Do not see this as a diet but a lifestyle change. The saying “You are what you eat” is so true. You eat junk, you become diseased! Many people develop shingles when they are sick. To get rid of the pain shingles (herpes) or chickenpox cause mix the following: 1 Tablespoon of Aquas cream, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and 1 Disprin or Asprin. If the area is big, mix more accordingly. Apply thickly on the affected area with cotton wool (never touch oozing blisters with your bare hands) and only put clothes back on when it has been absorbed. Wear cotton clothes as synthetic material can irritate the skin. Apply again 4 hours later, and again the next day. With chickenpox apply as needed for a couple of days. The pain is usually gone within a couple of hours. When you had shingles and the blisters have disappeared, but the pain is still there, the cream mixture will take a bit longer to work – usually about 24 hours. Avoid peanuts or peanut butter as they can trigger shingles. Go on the Wellness Program as above. The reason you got shingles is because your body is taking strain, just like you can get fever blisters when you have the flu or a cold. The Wellness program will bring your body back to balance. When you have eaten something that makes you feel nauseas, or causes you to vomit or have diarrhea just take 2 tablespoons of activated charcoal every 2 hours till it has stopped. You can also grind some burned wood or plain charcoal into a powder and take that. We advise on many other diseases like Lupus, cancers, autism, strokes, heart, emphysema, etc. The basic Wellness Program is than still used but with other things added. So... I am gonna try the Tine Van Der Maas protocol. Anyone here ever try it? I have read that if you drink too much beet juice you can go blind. I assume this is false, but you never know... |

I've tried it and it made me feel better. Only thing is I wasn't consistent. I'm not sure I made more than two of the lemon drinks in a day and I don't think I had more than one day in a row in which I've had two lemon drinks. I don't think I've gone longer than 3 days total with it. I've only done this a couple or a few times, not much, just enough to know my way around the process and measure the results. I didn't really notice the beets listed when I read through at first, or the item just didn't get my attention. I did the whole lemon drink, seeds, rinds, pith and all, with a cup of water and a tablespoon of olive oil and blended it. The first cup I had a hard time with, the second I was liking it, and the third and then on pretty much enjoyed it. If I didn't find it a pain to make I'd probably have it more frequently. I also had a tablespoon of grated garlic which I chased down quick-like with water, and a tablespoon of ginger. When I came back to the thread and was rereading later I noticed the tea, which I'd have to read again to tell you what it is... it seems like red tea... Rooibos? I did a search to learn about the tea but one of the main ingredients is fluoride. I lost my anxiousness after that. Later when reading over again I noticed the beets. I've never cooked with beets and whenever I've ever had them it was pickled beets out of a can. I picked up some beets from produce, stuck them in my little fridge and there they sat until I thought they needed to be thrown away which I did. I thought I'd better study up on whether they can be eaten raw or figure out what I should be doing with them before I go off trying to buy some more that I might end up throwing away. So, I studied a little and found raw beets are super healthy, but even more than the beet, the beet top is full of nutrients, vitamins... whatever all it was, it looked good. I'd honestly have to have the info in front of me to repeat it right. Only thing, and it was noted by whoever wrote some of this about the beets, the beet tops from beets at the grocery store are wilted and don't look good... I wouldn't want to eat them, ruled out. I read that if you cook them at all it's best to try and steam them and that their skins will easily slip right off after a little steaming (or parching?), and it's better to remove the skin by this method than by using a paring knife. I just used a paring knife, then the same little grater I use for grating garlic or ginger. I had some leftover chicken soup I'd made the day before, a recipe my grandmother had made a few times with chicken, zucchini, tomatoes, onions, and potatoes, and I warmed it up and added the grated beet without any further cooking. It turned the food 'beet red', I had a couple servings of it and it was ok. I felt like I survived it, ha. I had more soup leftover but I got rid of it. I'd had enough of that adventure, enough to try out and call it good. One thing, taking garlic and ginger by the tablespoon will make your tummy hurt. Taking a tablespoon of each one of them will hurt more than just taking a tablespoon of garlic. That tummy ache is not a bad thing though. Around the same time I began doing it a relative had called and on her list of complaints after having been to the hospital for something, was the tummy ache she had from the strong anti-biotics. That garlic will also burn like a hell in any part of the mouth it might touch because a mouth is full of germs and the garlic goes to battle instantly. One thing I got out of this and appreciate is the 'measurement' of garlic. Before, I might have used a clove, big one, or smaller one, but it's not the same. A tablespoon of grated garlic is one hefty potent measurement to go by. It increases my energy and I feel better. |

Garlic
Garlic, is a true Anti-biotic. It is more than that, among other things, garlic is: Anti-Bacterial, Anti-Cancer, Anti-Fungal, Anti-Parasitic, and Anti-Viral.
Garlic's medicinal properties are only potent if it is raw and has been crushed, mashed, grated, pressed, minced, or chewed, and consumed within one hour. Allicin is the most powerful medicinal compound derived from garlic.
About 10 years ago, researchers determined allicin from garlic to be a potent sulfur containing antimicrobial. Its chemical name is thiosulphonate. Its only found in small concentrations in a group of food plants called the Allium group which contains onions as well as garlic. But the largest concentration of alliin is actually found in garlic which is why they selected garlic as the source of allicin. This is the structure of allicin or diallyl thiosulphonate. In some ways it almost resembles an antibiotic- two cysteine derived molecules on the ends, but it is this S-S double bond which is the very potent part of the molecule that gives it its very strong antimicrobials activity. This comes down to the fact that if you take a garlic clove and you peel it very carefully and you smell it. There is very little smell. But as soon as you crush it...boom! You get an instantaneous smell. This is a clean smell, that is allicin that is produced. And the reason is that in garlic itself you don't find allicin but what you do find is a precursor molecule called alliin. And alliin is found within the garlic clove within the mesophyl cells and also in the garlic clove you then find around the phloem in the cells around the vascular bundle you find an enzyme called alliinase. These two are physically separated within the cell. When you crush it these two come into contact and immediately the combination of the two produce allicin, and the other thiosulphonates. "It is important to note that the garlic MUST be fresh. The active ingredient is destroyed within one hour of smashing the garlic. Garlic pills are virtually worthless and should not be used. When you use the garlic it will be important to compress the garlic with a spoon, crush, mash, grate, press, mince, or chew . If you swallow the clove intact you will not convert the allicin to its active ingredient." Garlic goes back many millennium: Indeed, garlic has been employed for medicinal purposes by more cultures over more millennia than any other plant product or substance. The first recorded use was by the Sumerians of Mesopotamia, in the now Mid-East regions of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. Garlic was of great medicinal importance in nearby Egypt. It has been found in the tombs of the ancient Pharaohs dating back to 3,200 B.C. Its use by the pyramid builders, who believed garlic gave them strength, is inscribed on the Great Pyramid of Cheops. The only slave revolt in Egypt (beside the Jewish Exodus) was by laborers over a lack of garlic one year when the Nile flooded the garlic fields. In the Egyptian "Ebers Codex," written in 1550 B.C., there were 22 different medical formulations that included garlic. The ancient Israelites were fond of garlic long before Moses led them out of Egypt. In the Mishnah, a collection of Jewish traditions incorporated into the Talmud, the ancient Hebrew writers refer to themselves as "the garlic eaters." In the Bible (Numbers 11:5), still on their way to the Promised Land, the Jews lamented the absence of garlic, as well as other foods from Egypt. Today, nearly 70 variants of garlic grow in the Holy Land. The widespread dissemination of garlic around the world is attributed, in part, to the Jewish diaspora. The Greeks used garlic to bring strength to their athletes at the Olympic games and in other contests, and employed it, as well, to help heal battle wounds. Hippocrates, who lived 460 to 370 B.C. and is considered the father of western medicine, recommended garlic for pneumonia and other infections, for cancer and for digestive disorders, as well as a diuretic to increase the flow of urine and a substance to improve menstrual flow. Another Greek, Dioscorides, who lived in the first century A.D. and is held in esteem as the founder of the modern pharmacy, dispensed garlic to treat rabid dog bites, snake bites, infections, bronchitis and cough, leprosy, and clogged arteries, as well as other conditions. The ancient Romans carried the garlic medicinal practices of the Greeks forward. Galen (129-199 A.D.), personal physician to the Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius, and whose writings were to influence Arabic and western medicine for over the next thousand years, called garlic "the theriac of the peasants," an inexpensive near "cure all" for a wide variety of almost countless ailments. In the Middle Ages, a German nun, St. Hildegard of Bingen, who wrote two medical textbooks, advocated raw garlic to heal the sick. The London College of Physicians recommended garlic for the great plague in 1665. A leading English physician, Sydenham, also used garlic about the same time to cure small pox. As more science began to enter the picture, Louis Pasteur demonstrated, in 1858, that garlic could kill infectious germs. Albert Schweizer, in the early and mid-20th century, used garlic in Africa to cure typhoid fever and cholera Garlic was used throughout World War I to treat battle wounds and to cure dysentery. During World War II, garlic was known as "Russian penicillin" because it was so effective in treating wound infections when adequate antibiotics were not available. So, where does that leave us today? Multiple scientific studies indicate that garlic can lower cholesterol and triglycerides levels, improve the outcome of coronary heart disease, reduce high blood pressure, improve claudication (leg muscle cramps on exertion), prolong infant feeding time for breast nursing, reduce or cure the fungal infection of Athlete's foot, and reverse some middle ear inflammation. And, it can do much more. There may even be some value, in addition, for garlic in the potential reductions of certain cancers, especially those of the colon and stomach. http://www.amazingherbs.com/meduseofgari.html BTW, 'Elephant' garlic doesn't cut it, it is not the same nor does it carry the medicinal properties as does regular garlic. Wild garlic, however, is more potent than regular garlic but to my knowledge is harder to come by. One of its older, more popular, names in England was 'Poor Man's Treacle,' meaning theriac , in which sense we find it in Chaucer and many old writers. A writer in the twelfth century - Alexander Neckam - recommended it as a palliative for the heat of the sun in field labour. It was also mentioned in several Old English vocabularies of plants from the tenth to the fifteenth centuries, and is described by the herbalists of the sixteenth century from Turner (1548) onwards.[/big]
