dear james, i put where mine came from,..one of the lost books, shepherd of hermas..written about 150ce

mr eds quote came from gospel of thomas, another lost book, which was written about 200-250ce...

the new testament kjv books were mainly written 1200ce, except one half a verse, (which is not even for sure)..written prior to 600ce.

The Lost Books and Dead Sea Scrolls can be found in books and some online.

Hope that helps!

I always try and give background/links as to where I get my information from,:)

Couple more favorites(amoung others) from the Gospel of Thomas(wonderful quotes)

Jesus said, "Be passersby."

43. His disciples said to him, "Who are you to say these things to us?"

"You don't understand who I am from what I say to you.

Rather, you have become like the Judeans, for they love the tree but hate its fruit, or they love the fruit but hate the tree."

He saw a Samaritan carrying a lamb and going to Judea. He said to his disciples, "that person ... around the lamb." They said to him, "So that he may kill it and eat it." He said to them, "He will not eat it while it is alive, but only after he has killed it and it has become a carcass."

They said, "Otherwise he can't do it."

He said to them, "So also with you, seek for yourselves a place for rest, or you might become a carcass and be eaten."

These last two remind me of my favorite gospel---The Gospel of Peace

Jesus said, "How miserable is the body that depends on a body, and how miserable is the soul that depends on these two."

Mr Ed, is that where you get that vegetarian scripture? The Gospel of Thomas which isn't included in the bible? You know, I was a vegetarian for two years and I never felt better or had better energy, and it was very spiritual, and my body felt great. Have you ever read the book "2150 AD" (A Macro Love Story by Thea Alexander). If you haven't, I recommend you locate a used book and read it, then I would like your feedback. The story goes to 2150 AD and on the subject of diet, it was all vegetarian, but synthesized so the taste and texture (and look) were like meat, because humans had consumed meat so long (a mind thing) they needed it for the transition... something like that. It's an absolutely wonderful book and I recommend it to anyone and everyone, I sincerely like the way she took so many concepts and wrapped them up and put them into that story. May God bless Thea Alexander for the wonderful contribution she made.

Yes, one time you posted some scriptural story about eating meat and I almost went vegetarian again.. but not quite. For one, it's something you have to get psyched up for, then organized, then spend wads of money trying different products... one time I bought a veggie pizza from a natural foods store that looked great in the picture on the box, was about three times the price of a regular store bought pizza, but out of the box looked nothing like the picture, raw or cooked, and was inedible, about like eating cardboard. It,and the money spent for it, went into the garbage. Same thing one Thanksgiving holiday when I made Tofurky... and it was for several people. It was YUCK... all I can say.

lols.

I have always felt that way in my heart and tried when I was a cowboy, hippie, surfer in my teens but did not last and fell to peer pressure. Then about 4 years plus ago I ran into the Gospel of Peace in my search for the truth. Keep in mind I am from Texas and as a kid did a lot of hunting and fishing with my Dad, Granddad, brother and friends. It was a lot of fun walking(stalking) around in the woods looking for something to kill but when it came time to pull the trigger I did not feel right and my heart was trying to tell me so. Even my dad got woosie when it was time to gut the kill. So in all reality we know it is wrong. Even in the Canon you have this struggle between those that would offer sacrifices and those against it. Isaiah-------To kill an ox is as if to kill a man etc. etc. The canon is the truth mixed with lies and this becomes obvious once you study it. The gospel of peace is a wonderful document and as soon as I read it I cut out the meat and have not looked back since. Never felt better in my life. I run into people constantly that say I keepīgetting younger----it really is incredible----I ran into a fellow yesterday that always eats steak etc., he made a big real estate deal and moved back to the states and he came down for a visit because of some health problems. Well he looked like walking death and the first thing he said to me was a repeat of the above. I strongly recommend you read the gospel of peace , if ever there were true words from our creator to us, these are them.

Thanks for the reference and I may give it a shot, but I donīt like fiction that much and donīt read books that much unless they are true stories. I canīt stand the look of meat, much less the smell now, I can smell it a mile away and I can smell the death in peoples breath, quite a turn off. They say the truth will set you free and boy will it but you got to know the truth first.

They will not hurt or destroy in all of my holy mountain for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.

Iīm 58 and have 16 year old girls hitting on me----------quite a problem, but that may be because I have the millionaire face(people in the street are always hitting me up for money)
