Cecilia Cheung’s upcoming movie hanging by a thread The Hong Kong actress’s hectic schedule is slowing down the filming of movie The Lady Generals of Yang Family Hong Kong actress Cecilia Cheung made a high-profiled comeback last year, after the birth of her second son Quintus Tse. She first made a guest appearance in Lunar New Year movie, All's Well, Ends Well 2011, which earned an estimated NT$23 million (S$1 mil) in box office sales after 10 days. The Hong Kong actress then took on roles in upcoming comedy flick The Invaluable Treasure and period movie The Lady Generals of Yang Family, pocketing a total income of NT$60 million (S$2.6 mil). However, it was recently reported that the investor was unhappy with Cecilia, as she did not have time to complete the filming of The Lady Generals of Yang Family, due to her busy schedule. The investor also put down the rule that the movie must be completed by the end of the month, else it would be cancelled. Last November, director Frankie Chan received a NT$3 billion (S$13 mil) funding from a Shanghai production company to begin filming The Lady Generals of Yang Family. Cecilia was invited to join the cast at a price of NT$30 million (approx. S$1.3 million) and was signed on for 47 scenes. However, the actress had only completed 31 scenes, due to her commitments to Wong Jing's The Invaluable Treasure. "Maybe she (Cecilia Cheung) has too many movies to film. There's only 24 hours in a day and there's only one her. It's very difficult to manage her time," Frankie said recently, acknowledging that the actress has yet to return to the set of his movie. http://entertainment.xin.msn.com/ |
