They totally screwed up the original movie in that 2.0 release. The sounds terrible and so is the picture. It looks much better on other discs. Take that into consideration when you watch it.

I've also heard CJ Entertainment is distributing Summer Wars and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. Hope that's true. I'll be all over it.

Might be a while? That seems to be the case with the UK release of those two, at least. October or something like that :(. Which sucks, because I want to see Summer Wars BAD!

That's right, I'd forgotten about the UK Summer Wars. I stopped getting my hopes up about UK releases since it seemed like the ones I always wanted would end up region locked. Maybe I'm finally due for a lucky break.

Sorry but a toll is a toll. And a roll is a roll. And if we don't get no tolls then we don't eat no rolls.

As far as I'm concerned, yes :).

I'm probably one of the few people that thinks anime is not specific to Japan animation. Hell, the japanese don't use it that way, so why should we?

We classify it as Japan style animation. Fanboys get mad when you call a western production anime, yet the same people just as easily call Wonderful Days, or any other asian cartoon, anime.

If we should adhere to that definition, then we can't call Ghibli movies anime either. The animation isn't particularly 'japan styled', the stories are pretty western too.

Anime = Animation, as far as I'm concerned. But like I said, I'm on of the few.

I typically just tell people that I'm into animation. If it's good, I don't particularly care where it comes from.
