NOIR was one of my favorite anime series from several years back. The story, intrigue, and music all added to unique viewing. I recently got a live DVD of Yuki Kajiuri/Fiction Junction (she has composed numerous anime soundtracks)...For those that remember how great the music was may enjoy this clip. I don't use the term much, but I'd say i found this performance "blissful"! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=98e6lM6IZik...rom=PL&index=50 |

I watched this series, I thought it was pretty cool at the time, I loved the music in this series, the end theme was bliss. For the most part it avoided fanboy pandering, the action scenes could get abit derivative though. |

I loved NOIR....it was fantastic. the music is so very awesome. I also like Madlax. they are both part of The-Girls-With-Guns trilogy from the same animation company. the third and final in the trilogy just came out on dvd recently called El Cazador de la Bruja. havent watched it yet but it looks awesome

I know. The music added so much to both series and I became a big fan of Yuki kajuira. I've never heard of El Cazador de la Bruja. I'll have to check it out. That's awesome if it is another series with the same vibe and soundtrack style. Wasn't the show Avenger by the same animation company? |

I've seen the first 2 episodes of "El Cazador de la Bruja"...I love it. Nearly the same set up as Noir where 2 girls are on the run ;one that is a bounty hunter and one that has an unknown past...and the music is great again. |

I need to order volume 2 since I'm up to episodes 12 and 13. It is great, but the plot goes at leisurely pace, where each episode focuses on who they meet on their travels (like Kino's Journey). I like how they are standalone but that is probably why I haven't watched them all quickly, because so little of the main plot progresses per episodes (don't get me wrong, as I have grown to like both characters more and more each episode). For now it is something to watch in between games and movies. |
