I refuse to believe tinlunlau when he says this flick was meh! I hope he's wrong!  :(

Dude, I paid 30 bucks to see this movie. Would you think I'd lie about that?
Although I have to admit, Huang Bo was great comedic relief. The scene where he argues with the white guy was priceless.

No, I don't think you would lie. I'm just in denial. The stills look so amazing.

Well, the thing with Andrew Lau is, he's a great cinematographer. I can't deny that! He is part of that reason why Infernal Affairs looks great. But he has always been very weak in the storytelling. Let's face it! He needs ALan Mak and Felix Chong back.

Ya, a review at Twitch was pretty negative about it as well.

Sucks hearing all the negativity. I'll probably still get it on blu when it comes down. I'm such a Donnie-phile.

Well, we can't expect all of Donnie's movies to be as solid as Ip Man.
I Saw The Devil at A Dirty Carnival with Lady Vengeance while having A Bittersweet Life of an Oldboy.

No doubt. He's been in some craptastic stuff in the past.

Whew! And I thought I was the only one saying 'nay' to this film!

I would image Andrew Lau is the reason behind the suckage?

Yeah, I'm pointing to the same thing.
I notice Andrew Lau knows how to package a great-looking film but is totally shitty when it comes to the story telling.

Surprised to see all the negativity being aimed at Andrew Lau (not that he's a consistent director). What about Gordon Chan (he's the writer after all)? That man has a handful of bad movies himself, in fact even more so than Lau I'd say. Painted Skin anyone?

I'm completely speechless about Gordon Chan. I still cannot forgive him for making "The King of Fighters".
