For an alternative, there is Tanakaya downtown at the Market Garden. Its a bit easier to get to, and they have sushi there (and ramen!).
I haven't had Wonder Sushi, so I can't compare the two, but I always enjoy a trip to Tanakaya. ^w^

i just checked on Google maps and noticed that there are two Wonder Sushi restaurants here in London. the one i was talking about is the one on Highbury and Cheapside. But that doesn't change the fact that i would like to go to Tanakaya as well

Wonder Sushi is pretty boss! Though my favorite place in town is the new one by Oxford & Quebec, they have some real quality with a reasonable price tag, where wonder sushi can be a little pricey at times. Tanakaya was really enjoyable for their ramen, but the sushi was really disappointing for a carnivore like me, they really skimp on the salmon over there.

It's called Hanata and I like it better than wonder sushi. Plus, right now, there's a 15% discount on all orders because of their grand opening!

yeah they have other stuff than sushi http://menuspot.ca/Wonder_Sushi/Page2/. one think i like there is they have all you can eat sushi but it can be pricy. since we'll be going at dinner time it will be $20 for all you can eat and they have a service tax added on to that so it will be pricy. but they have platters that you can order as well

that guy.

I don't get your obsession with oriental food is, or fake oriental food. Most of the stuff is Canadian versions of food, since meat is rare in those areas. Maybe it is growing up eating twice a week, has jsut made me bitter.
Context isn't always a good thing.

Ah, good! Everything on the menu sounds so tasty! I was worried at first because I can't eat sushi :P

I loooooooooooooove sushi!

My favourite place in London closed down, but my new favourite would have to be Blu Rice. All you can eat for $13.99 (lunch) and I believe it is $21.99 for dinner. I personally don't think it quite compares with the place I loved that closed down, but it is still really really good.

Google Maps is telling me that it is in my area. I'll have to check that place out!

I find the Wonder Sushi on the other end of town is a bit nicer. There's also Tokyo Sushi in Hyde Park, which is nice.

The nice thing about St Catharines is that there are all-you-can-eat sushi places all over, as low as $12.

I've never been to that one. I've been to the one on Wonderland Rd, and they used to be good, but then they doubled the price and kept the quality the same, so I haven't been back since.

Yes, Tokyo Sushi on Hyde Park is good. I'm guessing you mean Hyde Park and Fanshawe Park, near the Wal-Mart? It's a good one.

And I totally agree. I love St. Catharines for that. My favourite would definitely be the "Real Sushi" on Carlisle St.

I meant the one at the plaza at Hyde park and Oxford.

I've been to Real Sushi a couple times, and it's real convenient, but I hear Sushi Ai is nicer and the same price.

Ben, you're in St. Catharines?!
Are you going to Brock or are you just hanging out with Sham and my parents?

But back to the St. Catharines sushi: Amakara is the best place to go for quality, but it's a la carte
Real Sushi is my favourite when I need to get back on the sushi wagon after a long dry spell
East has a little bit more class, but only a few of my friends like it
Jade has just been average for me and I've stopped going there (mostly because I hate having to write down my order - I wanna talk to cute waitresses!)

Unfortunately the only sushi place I've been to in London is Wonder Sushi on Highbury - I went a few days ago and made the mistake of bringing someone who wasn't sure if they liked sushi. Let me tell you, that warning of having to pay for left overs is very true and very steep. But on the bright side I've been eating sushi for the past four days.

I'm down for trying the new place across from the Super Store - it's tempted me on numerous occasions, and I feel it's time for a visit
;) ;) Tonia!

Hey its that one guy...

To be honest, I am not a big fan of sushi. I don't know why but it doesn't sit well with me. T_T

I think that if we want sushi, we should take a trip to Stratford. A certain club member works at a sushi place up there and he needs a visit from us.

paying for left overs has not happened to me yet. now that i think about it do other sushi places charge you for left overs or is it just Wonder Sushi on Highbury?
