Yeah, which means it's also equivalent to your deck in other games. But the deck in other games is both all of your cards and a defined set of cards, while the hand is the cards you have immediate access to, so our "hand" is both. And because a hand is more precise (cards you have brought to play vs. cards you can play at that moment) our "hand" is closer to a typical hand.

Despite confusion over terminology, it sounds like yall are considering this as if it were an actual game with physical cards. It's not. It's an online forum where we post images to do battles, and as such I don't think it's "lame" or "cheating" or "non-strategic" to have a more fluid deck. If these were actual cards than it would be different. But, since it's not... I don't understand why everyone is so upset. It's not like its giving me any sort of advantage, as shown by my win-loss count, and it's not like I'm just whipping out random cards like Missingno or Amphy. They're my cards that I have won, and honestly can play as I please. That's my opnion on it.

Also, the struggle of "deck" versus "hand" is real :P

Ok but this is a virtual card game based on real cards and played like real cards and it is exactly the same.

We're not getting mad or anything, we're just firmly stating facts. The facts include that this is considered cheating, but you have apparently been unaware of this so you get a pass, but you need to stop. It is an unfair advantage, whether or not it's helping you win, and whether or not you agree. There's really not anything more to talk about, other than having a discussion about enforcing it in the staff forum, as you've kindly pointed out was an issue.

I... pretty much explained a very good reason why it is the way it is in my last post, which is aside from the "because that's just what it is" reason. It kills off a LOT of strategy and thinking from the game, which is pretty much the core of any TCG.

To try and explain why I get so upset about this, look at it from my perspective. I've put a lot of hard work and thought into preparing my hand for the battle, just as I am supposed to if I am following the rules. I go into battle, and I start to notice that every time I play something, my opponent just happens to pull out the best counter to my move that they own. Even if that card they play is VERY situational and would have been dead weight unless I just HAPPENED to make the exact move(s) that I did. Playing by the rules, I'm still limited to the cards I picked out for my hand. Meanwhile it becomes increasingly clearer and clearer that either my opponent is a psychic who knew exactly what cards I'd use and how the battle would play out, or much more likely, that they aren't playing by the same rules that I have been playing by. The rules that we were BOTH supposed to be playing by. THAT is what p***** me off about it.

The only reason you haven't seen a "visible" advantage from it is because any time you've lost it is a battle you clearly didn't have the cards for anyway. I don't mean to sound rude in saying that, but by pulling cards out of your deck as needed you are literally using the best set of your cards you could possibly be using. And yet that clearly wasn't enough, and without having had better cards there is next to nothing you could have done different to get you that win.

To be clear, I'm not mad at you now, but I certainly have been mad in the past when people have pulled this sort of thing. So with that in mind, I do apologize if this came off heated. I just take this mater very seriously from past experiences
