Just thought of something. Since you want Hyppie, Bliz, why not have it be the first card you get in-game, your starter Materia, if you will? It can have 4 levels; At level one it lets you poison your enemy, at two it lets you burn them, at three you can paralyze them, & just like all Materia there's one more level above that, after which it is 'Mastered' (a Mastered Materia makes a level 1 duplicate of itself, we can implement this if we like).
The three skills it gains as it levels up can be switched around, but it fits with the actual card, Materia system, & your wishes for both your moveset & that particular card's presence.

Sorry for not replying that for awhile, I was just trying to figure out the right way to express how much I freakin' like that idea. But, alas, I couldn't think of anything good enough, so I'm forced to just scream "YUS" in agreement.

I've updated the first post with our specifics so far; pary members/weapons, our foes, cards, items, & equips; though the latter pair are empty. I can fix that easy; there's a ton of stock RPG items we can use, & I just need to give RPG traits to my weapons & they're mostly ready, since I already know what all 18 of them will be (I can be an outlier by having less weapons, more weapons, or I can be the base line, it's up to you guys).
EDIT: Updated with my swords. But, due to a combination of not having all of the swords entirely designed & not knowing exactly how this game will work, I don't have all of them complete. Also note that I'm entirely assuming that we'll work off of the same set of elements we have here.
