I'd try, of course, to be a ref, but I probably won't be good at it. |

Could we posssibly be a ble to ref our own matches in the future once we get approved? I can see where cheating would occur in the coin flips, so could we just have a mod flip a coin for us at that point? It would speed up battles A LOT. |

Alright, here is another word wall! Anyways, as some of the normal members have shown interest in becoming Stat Posters, I think we should start setting something up. So, in my opinion, I think that they should be: a.) They should be ‘active’ members. An inactive or hardly active person taking the assessment would be somewhat pointless, as they do not show up frequently enough to participate in reffing. It would be a pointless endeavor. b.) Should be reliable to not get in trouble. We want members who are well behaved and reliable to be there to post the stats accurately and cleanly. We don’t want to give such honor to member who are undeserving or are ‘troublesome’. At the moment, I don’t think anybody here is like that, but it may apply in the future. c.) Should be honest. We want members we can trust to not be biased and to be fully competent at what they are doing. They should post the stats as they are, not favoring one combatant over another. Anyways, from there, I think the test should be a five card battle against another member. An Admin or Mod or Card Maker will be keeping track of the battle. They will be assessed in these points: a.) Neatness Nothing is more frustrating than sloppy stats. Though everyone has their own way of giving out stats, these stats should be easy to read and understand for all members. This includes grammatical neatness as well as clearly shown statistics that are neat and organized. b.) Accuracy Inaccurate statistics can be a great frustration from any battle, as they tweak the results and may even change the tide of battle because of a mistake. They are also fairly annoying to go back and fix. Thus these members should be accurate in their stat posting. c.) Thoroughness The member in question should be able to keep up with their own stats and not slack off or abandon a battle. They must be very careful to read the cards in question and post the stats accordingly. I cannot stress this enough, reading a card incorrectly or simply assuming a card is a certain way can be disastrous in battle. Professional Posters of Battle Statistics must be well versed when it comes to card typage, card abilities, and weakness/resistance. So, that is my proposition to solve the ‘Referee Quandary’. Tell me, friends, family, users, what are you view and opinions on this proposition? |

Seeing as how I'm not Staff, I'd say 'No, not yet'. The reason why is because none of the Staff have posted their ideas about my proposition. Therefore, until somebody posts something or other here, this test is not in effect. |

Well, to basically sum up what's been discussed in the staff room, we've at this point determined that we'll want applicants to try refing a few battles that contain at least one staff member. Then if they've proven capable and we're comfortable with them, they'll be promoted to the position. |
