So, I’ve noticed something. Some cards rarely get used and other cards overpopulate the site. Practically every member has at least one Platybelodon, at least one Phorusrhacos, at least one Gallimimus, at least one Herrerasaurus, at least one Agustinia, etc. Now at lower levels of battling, when you don’t have all that many cards, that’s great, those cards are pretty good for beginners to get familiarized with how abilities work and whatnot. However, once these members start battling actively, there’s always going to be a person who loses and a person who wins. Now keep doing the same thing over and over against members whose deck is increasing by one card, which you likely already have anyways as they won it from you, and you start to get a place that is overrun by the same cards. Not enough diversity to make a difference and not enough members to trade with, as members who already have that card won’t want to have more than two or three of those. So, I was wondering if we could start something to change that. I think ZD had an excellent idea going when he came up with the Trash-to-Treasure Teapot. It allows you to get a variety of cards that are worth the cards you won but are different enough to add variety and flare to the site. The only problem now is that ZD’s TtT Teapot is overflowing with orders and he hasn’t had time to attend it. So I was wondering if it would be possible to start some big community Trash-to-Treasure Teapot (if it’s ok with ZD as the idea was his and all) that includes cards made by all four card makers. That way, we can continue to accumulate cards without having to trade or give them away if we don’t want to, and we don't have to rely on just one single person to deal with everyones orders. It’s just an idea, but I want to know what you guys think about it. That way, all the members who have a lot of cards just sitting around collecting dust can get different cards, as well as the excitement of waiting to see which card they will get. Sorry if this idea (like all my other ones)sucks. |

Poppycock. You come up with fine ideas. That said, there are a few problems with a communal Trash-to-Treasure Teapot. First, that some cards are less available for a reason. Keep beating up the same guys, repeatedly choosing to take a weak Earth type, & throwing it in the Teapot, & eventually you're sure to get either Bruhathkayosaurus or Amphicoelias, which neither I nor DF wanted to happen. Second, the TtTT is definitely not the only way to get a variety of cards. We all have our own ways of releasing varied cards; ZD has the TtTT, Sigma has his starter packs, DF is boring & has his boring shop of boringness, & I have the Pawn Shop. |

well, certainly a better idea than waiting for ZD to get around to sell only his cards.

sure.... thanks anyways. Oooh, I'm glad you brought up that point, it was actually not smoething I had considered. I think that the cards the person should be able to get should be equal to the person's show of ability and competence. Kind of how ZD had said at thte Teapot that you can't get cards with higher than 100 something HP, but he'd make certain exceptions and allow certain members to get better cards than that if he deemed them worthy. I'm unsure if that rule still exsists in the TtT topic, but I do remember it was there at some point. And trust me, it's not just you and DF who don't want everybody getting an Epic. I know that I certainly am not ready to own an Epic IMO. And yes, there is all the shops, I know that already, but sometimes one wants to simply get rid of some of their old unused cards and there really isn't anybody n their right mind who would take them. Sure you can give them all away to weaker members, but then they'd just be stuck with the problem you had, except that they don't have anyone bellow them to pass it on to. I thought of it s being a way to get cards that fill in a similar niche to the one(s) you put in the 'teapot' without being the exact same card that everyone else has, and that way, when you battle weaker members, they don't get stuck fightning the same cards again anad again, as those are the only ones the opponent may have that fill in the 'not too strong, not too weak thing that is used in X situation'. EDIT: and as IN said, ZD hasn't quite had the chance to complete the orders he's been given, and by trying to give him even more orders ,you're just slowing down the process of things. |

I think if there was a way we could get some newer cards, I'd like it, because what he's saying is rather true. For instance, two 'crossing-over-from-newbie-to-aprentice-cards' are, for one, Antarctosaurus. Most of the more seasoned members own at least one of these. Hatz is a slightly less seen common card. EDIT: @Alt- your ideas are great, although this one seems to have a complicated solution for a simple problem. |

Yeah. Like how every advanced member seems to own a couple Antarcto and a couple Hatz, but nobody seems to own and Diplodocus or Brachs. @Apat: Thanks, but there's a reason they never get accepted... anyways, what's the simple solution? (pardon my ignorance) |

I'm just saying that this is a simple problem and you've put forward a highly complex and intricate solution. It could work, but it would probably be hard. |

Pardon me, for I had derped. As usual. I wish there was another way. The XE movement was also a good start to this, as it does let you get rid of a lot of your excess cards, thing is that most of the things that you need for an individual creature are not very common, and not manny people would be willing to trade for them, as they are uncommon or rare and everything that everyone else has is common. Like Herrerasaurus. |

Exactly. Now a Mountain/Storm Gallimimus? Or a Desert Herrerasaurus? All in all, the XE cards are great, and I REALLY need some wind types to purchase a mountain evolver. @IN- Exactly! |

Well, as fun as it would be to draw Storm Galli, it would be redundant as Galli is already Electric! lol. And Atleast you can use 3 Gallis to buy the Strom Evolver ;). @ Clocky: Out of curiosity, would you be willing to 'exchange' cards? |

@IN: Not the XE cards directly! Rather, I'd be happy to help you get the materials to purchase them. Need some nature cards for the Jungle Evolver? Want a D. Spino, but don't have Spinosaurus itself? Nothing in me & DF's agreement said anything about me not being able to do that much. @Alt: It would depend on what was being exchanged & for what. |
