20% cooler than you!
Alright, after revising the plot over and over again, I believe that this will be the final version. I'll probably get around to making most of the cards mentioned here that haven't been made yet.

On with the show... and tell!

Prologue
"Begin!" Dan Flame announced.
A battle was about to commence in the middle of a park. On one side was a young man with black hair along with a white streak of hair. He wore a white waistcoat, red shirt, and grey pants. This young lad was the aggressive and reckless Albert Randar.
On the other end was a mysterious teenage boy with black hair. He wore a black shirt and grey pants. His most striking details were his sunglasses and gray trenchcoat. This young man was Zach Distero, new to Cratalis but somewhat used to the card game commonly affiliated with it.
"I'm gonna curb-stomp you no matter what newbie," Albert snorted. "Let me take the pleasure of going first. Mosasaurus, Mosa Chomp whatever you see!"
Albert threw down a light-blue card onto the ground. The card shined brightly as a Mosasaurus appeared on the field. It roared, ready to attack.
"Intriguing choice," Zach commented. "Well I guess I'm up next. Time to summon Elaphrosaurus!
Zach threw a yellow card onto the ground. It glew as a light yet agile dinosaur appeared on the ground. It moved its head and tail frantically, ready for an attack.
"I'll use Light Speed," Zach said. "Since Mosasaurus has a higher base HP than Elaphrosaurus, I can attack twice. Now, Quick Bite GO!"
The two creatures attacked. The Elaphrosaurus, being the quicker creature, was the first to pounce. The dinosaur was surrounded by a yellow aura as it ran at quick speed towards it. It jumped, quickly biting the sea creature twice. The Mosasaurus tired quickly from the powerful attack, but managed to crunch the Elaphrosaurus before it fainted and faded away. The Elaphrosaurus slowly walked back to its owner's side, although it looked terribly damaged.
"Hmph, type matchups. That's basic knowledge," Albert huffed. "Unfortunately for you, your lil' dinosaur only has 10 HP left, leaving you vulnerable to my next creature!"
This time, Albert threw down a green card. The card brightly lit up as a fairly large dinosaur rose from it. That dinosaur was a Stegosaurus.
"How do you like that!" Albert said with a grin. "Now, thanks to Intimidating Plates, you won't even have a turn to act. Finish off that puny dinosaur with Tail Swing!"
The Elaphrosaurus was shivering as the Stegosaurus stomped towards it. The stegosaur's tail swing was all that was needed to send the smaller dinosaur flying.
"Haha, now your creature is taken out!" Albert said. "I'll attack again with Tail Swing!"
He grinned maliciously at Zach. The younger boy remained, his emotion still the same.
"Nothing too bad," Zach commented. "This'll be interesting. Say hello to my Saurophaganax."
"WHAT?!" Albert exclaimed.
Albert gaped in shock as he watched a large allosaur rise out of the ground.
"Prime Scorcher," Zach said calmly.
Although the Stegosaurus struck the Saurophaganax with its tail, the allosaur felt little pain. The Saurophaganax backed away and breathed fire onto the stegosaur. As the flames cleared up, the Stegosaurus was gone.
Dan looked at Zach. He couldn't see the boy's eyes, although judging by his grin, he could tell that Zach was enjoying this moment.
"He could have potential," Dan thought. "He would make a sound apprentice..."

Meanwhile, a scientist was observing a tube of bright energy in a fairly dark room. He had long, dark blue hair and wore a white labcoat.
Suddenly, two mysterious figures clad in white cloaks appeared behind him. One was bulkier and wore a metallic mask, while the other was lithe and had long light-blue hair.
"Things are going well, in case you're wondering," the scientist said.
"That is fine," the smaller figure, clearly a woman, said.
"You should be swift with your collection of energy," the bigger figure, a man, boomed. "We will be willing to help you with whatever you need. However, we will only do so if you continue your efforts to revive our master."
After that moment, the two figures disappeared into thin air. The scientist looked deep into the tube of energy.
"Ah, I shall make sure I'll be swift," the scientist said to himself. "Soon I'll be the one to learn the secrets of the element long forgotten. I shall become... the master of the Aether."

Grmm.
I'd do something but it's illegal both on and offline,as well as my warn would be raised.
But you nailed my strategy. Strongest creatures first, and run out and beat the chiz out of everything that breathes.
