Welcome to Europeia!
So what the heck is Europeia anyways?

Can I join?

So, I came here representing another region? I do not want to become a citizen. Where should I go?

What offices are there for people to be elected into?

What is there for me to do in Europeia?

That answers most of my immediate questions. What if I have any more?

No it won't be Bernie. He is too far on the left for starters and he and Clinton hate each other now. There is no point in denning that fact because we all know it's true.
Hate each other? He endorsed her and they even combined parts of their platform together. Now I know people are talking about picking a Hispanic VP in order to grab the vote but if you wanted to not aim for more demographics but make sure the party is truly united, you could pick Sanders as a VP but it would be hard to know if people would hate him or not (they could call him a sellout and coward). We do know he score very well with Independents that could decide this election.
Yes but is the whole point of primaries to get a bit of everything and to make candidates better. Did you watch some of the Democratic debates? They went right at each other, the gloves were off. When he endorsed her his body language was not positive and he did not give a very enthusiastic speech. Yes he did score with independents, but those were independents who leaned to the left already. Polls have shown that being a Democratic Socialist is more unpopular than being an atheist. If Clinton wanted to hand the election to Trump she would pick Sanders as her Veep. Even Waren is considered to be too far on the left and would turn off moderate voters so can you imagine how bad an idea it would be to pick Sanders.

If you give this mouse a cookie, she'll probably ask for some cheese.

Kaine, IIRC, is fluent in Spanish. Trump has already made it easier for Hillary to make inroads with Hispanics, but bumping up turnout among Hispanics could definitely help in some of the swing states.

Anyhow, he's my guess/hunch. For that - and other reasons that others have already elucidated.

The Most Boring

CNN just confirmed Kaine. Edit: And Clinton made it official, too. I'm ratehr satisfied, wouldn't have wanted Sanders or Warren as VP, although I wouldn't mind them (especially Warren) to get a Cabinet office.

I think your read of the primary is slightly off.

While, yes, this primary certainly had several heated moments, it was probably one of the most civil primaries (on either side of the aisle) since 2004, if not beforehand. Bernie avoided tons of Clinton attacks that he could've made, and maintained a mostly positive campaign. Right after the Wisconsin primary there was a week or so of very high tensions, but I think we saw an extremely civil campaign on the whole.

I certainly am not privy to Secretary Clinton's innermost thoughts, so I dunno if she hates Bernie or not, but I doubt it. I think it is more likely that she sees him as an idealistic, good man who is slightly out of touch with what she perceives as the political reality.

Your a Sanders supporter, of course your going to say it was civil! It really wasn't though. Because of the kind of language Sanders used, Clinton was demonised and lies were made up by Sanders supporters. Plus Sanders was a bad losser and sulked and refused to endorse her well after it was clear she was going to be the nominee. He did ultimately damage her when she was being attacked from both the left and the right.
