| Welcome to Europeia! So what the heck is Europeia anyways? Can I join? So, I came here representing another region? I do not want to become a citizen. Where should I go? What offices are there for people to be elected into? What is there for me to do in Europeia? That answers most of my immediate questions. What if I have any more? |

I think it is less about supporting Hillary and more about being pragmatic with the knowledge that it is better to see her there than Trump. |

I would re-elect Dubya over Trump. And I really REALLY disliked Dubya. (*yes, I know term limits mean that's not possible but ... in a hypothetical) |

Unfortunately, this is an election where I fear it's picking the lesser of two evils. I recommend (a) shortening the primary season to one month, followed by one month of actual campaigning (what a waste of governance time to have huge chunks of time tied up by campaigning!) and (b) having "none of the above" be a possibility, with single transferable vote. |

The argument that "this" or any other election is one between the lesser of two evils is silly. An election is always about the lesser of evils. You don't agree with a candidate 100% of the time on 100% of issues. Even when you're the candidate running for office, yourself. It doesn't matter if we had 90 parties, between 90 candidates. It'd still be between "the candidate you comparatively agree with most, who is the least bad." Edited by Aexnidaral Seymour, Jul 15 2016, 04:51 AM.

I disagree. Sanders gave a full throated endorsement of Clinton. Clinton and Sanders aren't really that far ideologically apart, she's not the neoliberal people on the far left like to crow she is. A lot of her progressive positions and the Party's were influenced by Sanders... which is exactly what is supposed to happen in a primary election. Sanders is smarter than his supporters on Reddit are: the only way our progressive agenda gets pushed is if Clinton wins and extends her infrastructural coattails to legislative Candidates-- if we retake the Senate, Sanders will have enormous influence over budget and various committees. |

No offence, Seymour, but I think that a lot of Sanders supports see Hillary in a far different light than you. In fact, half of polled voters view Hillary far differently than you. I don't think that Sanders, after having preached about going against big business and the establishment, gave near what can be considered a "full throated" endorsement. |

Slightly related, but Hillary is getting in on the Pokemon Go craze with her upcoming campaign events/voter registration drive in Ohio. |

I saw a poll yesterday that showed Hillary with a 67% unfavorable rating and Trump with 62%. Can't believe we've nominated two people who are so unlikable. |

Third party candidates do more harm to their ideals rather than further their policy goals. Advance a cause from within the system, yo. Edited by Shin, Jul 15 2016, 06:55 PM.
