Weekly Review A sourced publication delivering just the news in 2000 words or less Week starting : FRIDAY 12th AUGUST 2011 Friday Shinigami reapplies for citizenship. The debate on Crist Seymour's citizenship continues with the focus on who to blame. Attorney General Jusduckria voices his opinion on the merits of the case brought to the court's attention via Pope Ayatollah. Question Period arrives in Europeia with only the Government critic and Culture & Information critic being answered. And finally, Rachel Anumia Rachel Anumia is now on a break from Europeia. Saturday Onderkelkia was nominated for the vacant Associate Justice position (vacated by Skizzy Grey) by President Sopo on the advice and consent of his Vice President and the current Justices. Welfare Minister Ogastein, answered his Question Period question supporting the changes to the welfare ministry. He also relaunched the Employment Office. James Hanover presented his first event as Culture Minister - a song contest. And finally, Rachel came back saying "Lol, I need one of those 'A little bit Dramatic shirts'. Ignore this. Just a brief break has given me a much better perspective and outlook w/ Euro". Sunday HEM implored people to recruit as well as hinting at a recruitment contest. In the Senate the Fourth Amendment to the Seperation of Powers Act and the Citizen Integration Act (2011) were put to a vote. OnderKelkia's Justice confirmation heats up with the relevation that he accepted a bribe of IPs from Heras Savaer to drop the treason charges against Oliver and Earth22 in The New Inqusition. Mayor Rachel Anumia floated the idea of running the Euro University. And, finally, in the Republic Square, Swakistek wanted to know which Europeian would be most likely to be a success, would be most likely to have lots of friends, would be most likely to win a Nobel prize, would be most likely to be thrown in a lunatic asylum for the rest of their lives and would be most likely to become a political leader. Monday The City Council moved to the legislative authority section in the draft constitution. In the Grand Hall, Rachel questioned the Senate's policy on judicial confirmations. Sopo, the President, restarted "Goodnight Europeia" saying that "[t]he term so far has certainly been a learning experience". And finally, in the Republic Square, Henry is roundly criticised for his remarks. Tuesday Face Down In The Gutter, and billypig117 applied for citizenship. The President signed into law both the Citizen Integration Ministry Act (2011) and the Fourth Amendment to the Separation of Powers Act. The President also nominated Peaceful Llamas back to the Judiciary as his term had expired, later on in the day, the nomination was confirmed. Lethen is now a member of the EAAC after being confirmed. Klatonia proposed an "Act to allow the people not versed in law to use it in order to fulfill their role as law-abiding citizens" as the Legislation Accessibility Act (2011). Rachel, the City Council Mayor, wrote the first article for The Council Telegraph (the City Council's publication). The Senate enjoyed preliminary discussions on formalising the Navy's legal system. OnderKelkia's confirmation as Associate Justice received two ayes and nays. Thursday North Scale applied for citizenship. The Speaker apologised for his absence. The Mayor of the City Council changed her name to Kate Somerset (was Rachel Anumia before).
