Welcome to Europeia!
So what the heck is Europeia anyways?

Can I join?

So, I came here representing another region? I do not want to become a citizen. Where should I go?

What offices are there for people to be elected into?

What is there for me to do in Europeia?

That answers most of my immediate questions. What if I have any more?

Queen in My Own Mind

But the recent poll suggsted people don't use the news dropdown nearly at all.

I. Am. Not. A. Nice. Person.
Never underestimate the power of cynicism, pessimism and negativity to prevent terrible things from happening. Only idealists try to build the future on a mountain of bodies.
Unfocused populism is just as dangerous, if not more so, to a Republic's survival as creeping authoritarianism.
Tell people how you feel, honestly and frankly. If you like someone, tell them. If you don't like them, tell them - the world would be a better place if we all knew where we stood.

Sure, but not so much that it should be cast as some overwhelming majority.

42.1 - rarely/never
10.5 - twice per month
10~ - once a week*
6~ - twice a week*
21.1 - once a day
10.5 - multiple times a day

*(once and twice a week didn't have a label, so I'm guessing based on what % remained)

While 42% of people checking "rarely" or "never" (wouldn't twice constitute rarely? why was "rarely" put into the same categorization as never?), a good chunk of people do check it regularly to semi-regularly-- I would say anything "once a week" or more is semi-regular, which means about 47% of respondents. While not a majority, a substantially healthy plurality.

I can't really get excited one way or another on this issue :P

But realistically I'm never going to go into the "EBC Updates" subforum looking for news, unless directed to a specific article from the main forum page.

If you give this mouse a cookie, she'll probably ask for some cheese.

Put me in the never camp. It's a great idea, and I'm glad that people find it useful, but I just click through and read what interests me from the main forum page. The Dropdown of links is a nice innovation, but - again - something I don't personally use.
