Hey y'all! This is packerfan989, owner of the Missouri Wildlife Reserve and Zoo, or MWRZ. Here's our backstory... Missouri Wildlife Reserve and Zoo was founded on the hope of saving all of Missouri's mistreated and abused animals, or animals hurt by natural disasters. The zoo began to slightly grow, but when a very tragic tornado hit the reserve in 2004, the owners thought it was all over. All of the buildings were in ruins, and all of the animals were gone. They thought it was all hopeless, but, they saw my resume and asked if I would take over the zoo and get it back on it's feet, so here I am. We now take in more animals than are in Missouri, after we raised enough funds, and in 2010, we will save all of the animals we can (we will be around longer than 2010 (hopefully)) Right now, we only have 2 species at the mo, but when we receive more funds, we will be getting more. We have one section (2 exhibits) called Forest Path, which is the home to 2 species that will be shown to you in the pics. NOTE: I am not very good at making really realistic zoos, so this is as close as I got. ![]() This may not be the place to start, but oh well. We wanted to make the reserve more family oriented, so we decided to make this... This is the place where a newlywed couple or whatever couple can have a romantic time together eating the park's fine cuisine. If you notice, you have to go through a very romantic dolphin arch where you are at a table surrounded by decorative ferns. ![]() This is the first exhibit of the Forest Path. It is home to a breeding pair of wildcats. This exhibit probably took me about 10 minutes or so, same with the other exhibit. I lowered the ground in the exhibit from the fence, so even the smallest of guests could see the animals through the very convienient windows in the fences (and I thought it looked more realistic). There's some hills in the exhibit and plenty of foliage for the wildcats to explore. There's also a pond in there with plenty of fish for the cats to hunt. ![]() Finally, we have the newest addition of the Forest Path, the Red Pandas. This is basically the same strategy as the Wildcats, but the exhibit is a little lower. It still has hills and other elevation, and it even has a little pool of water. There are 2 mating pairs of Red Pandas in the exhibit, and hopefully, babies are on the way. So, I hope you enjoyed the mini tour of the place. Trust me, there is definitely ALOT more to show, but that'll be next time. Thank You for viewing! Packerfan989 and the MWRZ Team. |

Really? I never would of thought of using grassland. I just thought that temperate would be a really good biome for a forest path. I'll probably do something with grassland later on. I really wish that I knew how to do the buildings, I just don't know where to find them or how to use them. I'll try to get a pic of the main entrance soon... Packerfan989 |

Really? Cool! Thank you for the advice, I really need some more pointers on how to build better zoos... I don't do a very good job at it. |

The exhibit is great, but I would smooth out the hills and add more foliage.

Those are just what I've been looking for! *runs out and catches mystery animal* Stay tuned to see what the mystery animal is, and what exhibit I've prepared for it! |

Well, bad news, my mystery animal was a porcupine, but there was an outbreak of flu in my zoo, it started in the Wildcats, wiped them out, and went through the whole zoo. The zoo has been closed temporarily, for decontaminating the exhibits and getting some new animals in there. Please don't close this, I'm working on it. |

UPDATE!!! The zoo has been completely decontaminated of the flu and other sicknesses and diseases, and now, we have pictures! The Jaguar Exhibits ![]() These are the two exhibits that make up our Jaguar Sancuary. There are two for some different reasons, but the main one was that the two females would be in one, and the male would be in another, and when the male and a female wanted to mate, I would move the male over to the female, and move the other female to where the male was. So, the smaller one is the mating enclosure, and the other one is the showcase enclosure/the one that isn't mating at the moment enclosure. When the female has her cubs, the male will be moved back to the bigger one, and the female will take his place in the cubbing enclosure, and the cubs will be nurtured by the females. That is my master plan, and I really hope that it works out well. The big one, however, will be divided in two so that I can get another male in the enclosures. Jag ![]() and Charlotte ![]() Are the two of the three that are getting ready to mate. I don't have a picture of Cecilia, the other female, yet, but that will be in the next update, when hopefully, I have the complex done and Charlotte has had her cubs. And of course, when the zoo has more scenery. Oh, and by the way... ![]() Sooty the Sabre-Toothed Cat says hi. Thanks and see you on the next tour! Packerfan989 |

What do you mean? If you mean more foliage and scenery, too much locks up my computer. If you mean buildings, I can't find any... Also, I'm pretty much done with the Jaguar Sancuary, and Jag and Charlotte are in the same exhibit, getting ready for cubs. |

Well, it just looks like you built it just to have an area to put animals in, it's a bit plain, that's all ^^ Don't post the " " smiley because you shouldn't take this to heart, I'm a perfectionist of some sort and I usually go around judging out S&T's, so just tell me I'm nuts and shoo me away xD
