Hey guys, I have a new zoo I just started building I want to show you. Zoo of the Carolinas Established recently, this zoo will exhibit animals from all over the world in natural settings. We'll take you to our first exhibition area, which is almost complete. Sonora Desert House You see a gigantic buidling with a geodesic roof as you enter the zoo, and head towards it. You soon find out that this building showcases the wonderful animals of the sonoran desert in a naturalistc enviroment. Dry heat is kept inside, and large dehumidifiers try to pull every drop of water vapor from the air. You come up to the first exhibit. It's a very large desert exhibit with hills and a small pond. There's cacti and desert flowers as far as the eye can see. Inside are a group of 4 Collared Peccaries, some of the most famous inhabitants of the Sonora. Here are some exhibit views: ![]() ![]() ![]()

My jaw actually dropped when I saw those pics. Absolutely spectacular, as always Kiwilover! I love all the foliage, it turns a normally drab landscape (a desert) into a beautiful and interesting exhibit!

Wow, thanks T1! I'm happy with how this turned out, I'm glad to see you like it. Next, as you continue your desert walk, you view another large desert exhibit. Inside here live Nine-Banded Armadillos, Bolson's Tortoise, and soon, Greater Roadrunner. ![]() ![]()

Thank you Bruno, PT and Mysty! I'm really glad how this turned out, and I'm glad you like it. As you continue walking through the desert, you come to a small reptile enclosure. Inside you find the venomous Gila Monster. The only other North American lizard to be toxic is the Mexican Beaded Lizard, which you may also see roaming the exhibit. ![]() ![]() ![]() This section will be finished tonight. Stay tuned! |

Brilliant. I love the way you used Snowleo's zoo equipment to make the exhibits. They're diverse and yet they stick to a certain theme. In a word......EPIC!!!! xD Keep it up |

Wait, there already is a roadrunner? I was waiting for the Wild New world one. And thanks realy! I use the SDU animals a lot, actually. The Mexican Beaded Lizard, I do not remember where I found it. I might remove it from the exhibit because it attacked a Gila Monster. Also a big thanks to Bruno, Thing1, and Cryptid9. Anyways, I have a tiny update until tonight. The next exhibit you view is a lush desert exhibit containing a mated pair of Golden Eagles. They have several sheer rock faces in their exhibit, as well as an artificial nest built on a rock, where they rest sometimes. Hopefully they will lay an egg soon. ![]() ![]() Tonight is the small John B. Weiss Tropic House. |
