Tyne & Wear Zoological Park Hi this is my first show and tell so I thought I might as well start at the new S&T forum here, so here it is enjoy. Tyne & Wear Zoological Park was founded in 2009 by local businessman Sir John Hall and is rapidly growing sadly so far there is only one exhibit... the Estern Wild Turkeys and here they are. ![]() Entrance still under construction. ![]() Statue of the three Tyne Stallions local symbol of Newcastle upon-Tyne. This is where we begin our trek through the park .![]() We're coming up to the exhibit now folks. ![]() Immediatley we see a male strutting his stuff for a passing female. ![]() She seems interested and walks over. ![]() While the other females seem less interested in mating today XD . Well I hope you enjoyed my first S&T and hopefully there will be an update after the RR pack is released. XD P.S. Can anyone tell me how to do an overview pic of an exhibit much appreciated

Why thank you Maple it's a little patch of fern at the back of the exhibit so the turkeys can have some privacy. |

Sorry again for this extremely late update, I was waiting to put in some saiga and a special tiger exhibit but unfortunatley it hasn't been released yet boo hoo XD But anyway back on course through my average exhibits and we have arrived at the galapagos tortoises yeah. ![]() We have just strolled up next to the exhibit let's take a closer look. ![]() Like I said the magestic Tortoises are residents here, I believe there are roughly 10-15 tortoises in this snug exhibit. ![]() It appears they like to take little dips in their own luxury pool I've never seen them do this before. ![]() They look like a real close knit community how sweet. ![]() Wow, just strolling past my feet is the cutest baby tortoise i've ever seen, a very special find indeed. XD ![]() Well as I walk away I take one last look at this secretive exhibit and onward to the food court. ![]() Overview taken before completion of the park an update should follow shortly from this one hope you enjoyed it and please leave comments. XD |

I'm happy to announce that another update is ready to be posted so here goes XD The exhibit I come to next is none other than the American Mustang. We approach a grand entrance for the beautiful beasts, lets go through for a closer look. ![]() A lovely little exhibit on a sloping hill that houses four beautiful horses, 1 male, 2 female and a gorgeous foal. ![]() The first we spot is the mystical Shadow, the male of this small herd. With his hypnotic black coat I could stare at him for hours. ![]() M2456 or Hazel as she is now called is the second horse I see, she was rescued from a circus in Denver and has now found peace in her new home. ![]() My my, what a sight Flake is to behold with her lushious white coat it is easy to see why she is a favourite at the park and has recently become a mother how wonderful. ![]() Finally here he is, little Bobby, named in honour of our city hero Sir Bobby Robson. He was born only a month ago and is rapidly growing, he has gained a close bond with his mother which I'm sure you'll see. ![]() Here they are mother and son ![]() Well where to next I wonder I'm sure it will be a touggh act to folow after seeing those gorgeous Mustangs eh. ![]() Another final overview of the mUstang exhibit. ![]() Come back for another update and remember comments are always welcome XD |

Hello again and it's time for another update from the zoo so lets get straight into it. After visitig the Mustang exhibit I hear loud groans coming from another exhibit, little did I know that a family of Syrian Brown Bears had recently joined the zoo lets take a look shall we. ![]() They appear to be settling in well after arriving from a zoo in Tuscany and seem to spend most of the day lounging about. ![]() That is until the zookeepers release a little treat into the exhibit, live prey for them to hunt it's educational and delicious. Two already appear to be ready to be hunting. ![]() The young female darts infront and it looks like she will catch a frog in her mouth what a shot! ![]() Well it appears they enjoyed that little treat so we'll leave them in peace to go look at some more feathery friends till next time goodbye. ![]() Here's a final overlook of the exhibit. ![]() Please remember to comment after looking it's really appreciated whether it's good or bad. |

Your zoo is very pretty Zookid. Your exhibits are beautiful and realistic and I love that. You made great pics too. The only thing I don't like is the path, it just seems a bit too much, I prefer paths that look more neutral (can't really explain right XD). |

I know what you mean a bit more basic, and I agree but this zoo is also posted at AD Forum's so I have to add something AD so they won't close it but don't worry i'll start changing it from now on.
