Hey there! This is my first S&T here so i hope its a good one! We start off proceedings in the N.A.O.B.Z with the newly built Herefordshire county wildlife park! Visitors arent allowed in yet because some of the exhibits are still under construction but here are the photographs of the zoo so far! ((Ps. sorrry they are so big. forgot to resize them)) ![]() this is the entrance. From here you can go either left or right. Firstly we went right to check out the zoos exclusive tropical rainforest house ![]() As we approached we were amazed at how big the building was. We could see some movement inside so we went to check out the animals that were living inside ![]() These are just some of the inhabitants. In this picture you can see 1 of the Okapi, one of the Brazilian Tapirs and one the Visayan Warty Pigs. There is a pair of each animal we were told by a keeper ![]() As we left the large glass windows we moved up the ramp to go to the inside platform. While watching we saw both of the Tapir and thought it was a perfect picture moment! ![]() We left the house and moved to the outside area of the house where we caught a glimpse of the female Okapi ![]() After veiwing the tropical rainforest house we decided to head back to the entrance and take the left path. ![]() As we rounded the corner we noticed a pair of American Mustangs in an outdoor/indoor enclosure. Of course we had to get closer! ![]() We couldnt believe how at home they looked in the enclosure. We were even allowed inside ![]() They were so relaxed even when we went inside but of course we ahd to continue the tour. As we left the enclosure we noticed a wooden tunnel structure which seemed open so inside we went! ![]() It was quite spooky with the flickering flames light ![]() as we got a little deeper we saw the enclosure. The ground inside looked pretty sandy so we guessed it was a desert creature of somesort ![]() Our guess was right! Inside the enclosure was a pair of Fennec Foxes. ![]() They were so relaxed in the exhibit, it was like we had been flown to North Africa while inside the tunnel! Thats all there is of the zoo so far because my creativity gave up on me but you can be sure there will bve an update soon! So, more importantly, what did you think? |

It looks good, reminds me somewhat of A.R.C. in it's first 4 years.

Thanks guys! I was wondering whether it was good enough. The Fennec fox exhibit i developed from what was going to be a Gray wolf exhibit but i made the fences higher, added a tunnel around the outside and thought it would make a great desert exhibit instead! |

The fennec fox habitat is very beautiful with the trees, and they look so happy in their exhibit. |

Updated finally!![]() As we left the Fennec foxes we turned and saw two openings. They both led to the same outdoor area so we took the nearest one ![]() As we emerged into the open air we saw a magnificent Elephant fountain, two animal exhibits and what appeared to be a sky tunnel. ![]() rather than check out the biggest exhibit we headed for the smallest that required us to pass through an archway ![]() Before heading through the archway we heard a honking sound that caught our attention. We hurriedly got closer to the exhibit ![]() We looked into the exhibit and noticed it was very coastal. As we watched we saw our first glimpse of the animals inside ![]() The pair of Mediteranean monk seals looked happy in their enclosure ![]() The male obviously thought he was still in the wild because he looked pretty confused by the wall! ![]() We left the monk seals to their swim and had a peek at the other enclosure. Inside was a small pack of four gray wolves ![]() As we watched, two of the wolves emerged from seperate dens. ![]() We decided to head for the sky tunnel but were told we could only go halfway across because the entrance at the other end hadnt been finished. ![]() As we looked down on the wolves we realized just how at home they looked in their exhibit ![]() As we turned back to head out of the zoo we heard a howl and took one last pic of the wolves ![]() part of the exhibit |
